Character sheets are necessary for GMs to make sure you have an idea of what you're doing and aren't going to pull random nonsense. Also necessary for guaging power scale.

Location: Meeting with the Kumo-Nin/Clone with Hideo. Mizuraki Senju
_______________________________________________________________________________
The clone infiltration had gone off well, at least in the beginning. Mizuraki doubted that one single clone would have made much of a difference, though she had to admit that the thought was weighing on her...COULD the clone she had sent off to Shadow Hideo and the children have made a difference? Maybe things wouldn’t have ended in such a sorry state if there was one more body to assist? The veteran ninja always had a problem with overthinking and questioning her own decisions, it was a habit that she was never quite able to kick. However she had to have faith in the children. They passed the academy for a reason and besides her clone would be there with them every step of the way! Even if Hideo was an absolute pain in the ass to work with, she could put that aside for the kid’s sakes.

Mizuraki didn’t say anything to Ichika about the assault, she thought it would be best if they simply moved on and got the assault started. Their minds needed to be as clear as possible for the battle that was about to take place. The Senju woman removed the glove from her hand and sunk her teeth directly into her thumb to allow blood to seep freely from the wound. Placing her hand upon the ground Mizuraki called forth her companion: Katsuyu.

The giant slug emerged from the summoning seal that Mizuraki had created and eclipsed most of the forest with her incredible size. The slug, while large and obviously imposing due to her size, suddenly lowered itself toward Mizuraki with a...Surprisingly timid sounding voice emanating from the giant beast. “Mistress. Is there something I can do for you?

Mizuraki blushed at being addressed as such before holding up her hands and gesturing towards the much larger being. “S-Shhh! Katsuyu I told you about this before. Just call me Mizuraki. You don’t need to be so formal.

Katsuyu nodded her head in recognition. “Oh of course, Mis- Mizuraki. I had forgotten your instructions, I apologize.” The Slug now began to take notice of her surroundings. “You must be on a mission of importance, Mizuraki. I haven’t seen you around this many Ninja in quite a long time. What do you need from me?

Mizuraki merely nodded in confirmation. “Long story short. We’re invading a base full of missing-nin. We need your help to cross the sea. You’ll be able to ferry us all across with little to no effort. I know its salt water but I wouldn’t be asking if it wasn’t important.

Katsuyu’s face faltered for a brief moment upon the mention of Salt Water. The slug could survive incredible damage and easily reform itself...But that didn’t change the fact that she absolutely loathed salt water with a passion. “If you think something as silly as salt water is going to stop me from helping you, prepare to stand corrected, Mizuraki-Sama. Of course I will give you all whatever aid I can.

Mizuraki’s smile was practically beaming as she reached out and hugged the very, very large slug. “Oooohh. I knew it! You’re the best friend a girl could ask for!” The brunette quickly calmed herself down and put her game face back on. “Alright, everyone. Let's get moving. We only get one shot at this!

Dammit all! The clone of Mizuraki that she had sent along to tail Hideo bit down hard upon her lip in utter frustration. They had technically done their job, but they also just put every foe down there on high alert. The children were going to be walking into a trap. Dammit, Dammit, Dammit! The clone continued to berate itself before making its way toward Hideo and the children. She emerged from the undergrowth and looked to Hideo and his charges with a grim expression on her face. “I’m going to be coming with all of you.” The clone locked eyes with Hideo practically challenging him to defy her. “I was going to just stay behind and watch Hideo over here. But the situation’s bad, you’re going to need help.” She walked forward and crouched down in front of everyone.

Me and Ichika kind of screwed up a little…” she murmured under her breath. “We got through a great deal of the initial section however. I can easily guide you all through it, but we’ll need to be careful. The enemy is going to be on high alert. The other wave of our clones was detected in the third tunnel, they collapsed the ceiling.” She smiled a bit though. “It won’t be much of a problem though, I can break my way through that stone easily. Just stick close to me and we’ll make it out okay? I swear it.” She looked at Hideo again. “I’m not taking no for an answer by the way. So with that all out of the way are we going to get moving?

Koji Takuma
"Do you really want to die?"

These three really were surprising. They all accepted his challenge without a hint of protest. Koji had expected the need to shut down some defiant speech questioning his own qualifications, or something similar. The only defiance they showed was in the face of the challenge, Naruko in particular boasting about how he would be the one needing to give his all. It was certainly possible... one day. "I'm not interested in boasts, but it's good you're not wasting time on pointless matters. Let's get started..."
Koji's hand extended out to point into the forest, off in the distance to somewhere that could not be seen through the thick foliage. "Two hundred meters to the southeast I put down a scroll. You are to retrieve it and bring it back to this spot. I will be stopping you from doing so. That's all there is to it. You'll have thirty seconds in this location to prepare, and then we'll begin for real. Starting now!"

Right after Koji made the announcement, he dashed through the trees at blinding speed, and within a few seconds was already at around the location he'd stated. A patch of ground nearby was clear of trees, and seemed visible enough as any. Koji's hands moved into a pouch on his belt and pulled out a blank scroll and a kunai, casually tossing the scroll onto the ground. It would do for the test. The kunai flipped in his hand, the blade facing upwards between his knuckles like it was a claw. It was coming near time for the genin to move, only a few seconds longer... Koji's back arched as he leaned back, his arm extended behind him. With an inhale, he waited the last couple of seconds... go. The man exhaled, and suddenly snapped forward in a throw, and in an instant his kunai was gone. Grass and leaves around him blew backwards violently as a shockwave passed through them, and a thunderous sound rang into the air as if he'd shot a cannon! Less than a second later, where the genin were was blasted through by a small object ripping through the branches and leaves, and crashed into the tree that was behind them. The breaking soundwave followed after, at the same time as the tree began to collapse with nothing but a large gap being left in the middle. The test had begun.

Ken's eyes were closed as he seemed to meditate in place, standing up straight and breathing deeply. Any fatigue from the jog was starting to go away rather quickly, but his cardio recovery was interrupted by soft footsteps going towards him. As his eyes opened, Shiori had already gotten close and thanked him for the moment earlier when having to dodge caused water to spill. Again he was glad that he had his mask up, with the sudden surprise of her having come up to him. Her statement about power was strange, both a compliment of his, and showing her interest in such things. His eyebrows lowered slightly, the boy thinking that it made sense for Shiori to chase after the most powerful. It fell very much in line with how she acted otherwise. "Anytime Shiori-san." Burai soon caught up, having been a little behind due to a bit of difficulty with the start. Admittedly Ken hadn't fully noticed how behind Burai had been, and felt a slight tinge of regret at having jogged ahead. The other boy's request would have been accepted anyways, but even more so as a way to make it up to him, Kenshiro nodded right away. "I know a technique quite close to that one, and training together sounds fun. Let's make some plans after this."

And it seemed like they might they might get even more training time together after, with Kuree's declaration. 'Only one student huh? Then why sign up to teach a team? This lady doesn't make any sense...' But he wasn't disappointed. In fact, a small smile formed as he realized his opportunity here. He could avoid this team entirely! Although Burai seemed like a good teammate, getting rid of Shiori and the rockhead of a sensei was the best result possible. He continued to think for a few more seconds, and only became more and more sure of his decision. Smiling still, he pulled down his mask, reached into where he'd stored his robe, and took it right back out to put it on and look sharp and dressed once more. "Well that was fun guys. I'll see you two around. Burai-san we can still train later. I'm going to wait for an instructor that will teach me to be a shinobi instead of a bull that charges through walls. Jaa-ne." At that, he gave his teammates a casual but polite wave, and began to walk away towards home. He wondered if his mom had frozen any of those leftover gyoza, having another lunch of that sounded delightful.

"Do you really want to die?"

A man in dark blue shinobi gear kept an eye on the meeting spot within Training Ground 31, a strangely average area with lots of heavy forestry. That was partly what made it different from others, in that others usually had some sort of specialty or gimmick around it, while this one was just a designated patch of trees for training. Up in one of those trees he laid back along a large branch that supported his weight, reading a stack of books he'd brought. At that moment he thumbed through a schlocky 'horror' titled "Snakes in a Hotspring", and on the branch lay a mystery book and a comic of some sort.

Eventually the Man's students would arrive, Captain Takuma's new Cadets. As they each arrived, he recalled what he'd read about each of them. His team was strong, far stronger than he'd expected. Strong, and stubborn. They were bullheaded and overconfident. That was something in them that he'd have to demolish immediately. Once all were there he closed his book, set them aside, and jumped down to meet the three of them. His eyes stopped on Naruko for a second longer than the others. 'Adorable... That's a problem. Will worry about it later.'

Koji was certain that these three would have words for him, either questions, declarations, or what have you, but they would wait. Right away he spoke first before giving them the chance. His voice was loud, clear, and stern without him even having to raise it. The demanding presence of an experienced commander. "I am Koji Takuma and I've been assigned to be your Jounin. However, I do not have to accept any of you. Regardless of what you showed at the academy, I'm not convinced any of you have what it takes to be Shinobi. You'll have to prove it to me. Should you fail to prove yourselves, I'll send you right back to the academy. Should you prove to be useless and lack potential... Then I'll save the village the trouble and just kill you here." The man sternly told all three of them, watching how they'd react, wondering what they would do next.

Every night of my life
I watch angels fall from the sky
Every time that the sun still sets
I pray they don't take mine
I'm on the front line
Don't worry I'll be fine
The story is just beginning
I say goodbye to my weakness
So long to my regret
And now I know that I'm alive

A few more glances between the hallway and his instructor was all it took before Rashiku had gathered what had happened. Takayuki had set all those traps in the hall as a test for the students that were coming. With how many he'd set off, Rashiku felt like he was already off to a bad start. He noticed the slight shift in the light from the hallway as the door moved again, showing Ami in the hallway. She had an advantage of many of the traps having been disarmed, and the evidence of them being there was more than obvious with the hall littered with shuriken, kunai, and other pieces of wood. It went well with her avoiding setting off any more, right up until the end where she was forced to make a leap across the room to dodge underneath the table. Even Rashiku had to move a bit out of the way with the further projectiles being launched partially into the living room!

After things deescalated their instructor introduced Kiyoshi's replacement. A Senju... Rashiku had certainly heard of the clan name, but when he tried to remember their specialties he drew a blank. They had advanced jutsu of some kind, but he couldn't remember which. He supposed that as a teammate, he'd find out eventually. With everyone seated Mekakushi-sensei gave them their instructions... Which seemed to be gaining information on each other. It made sense, but the things he listed that were going to be needed caused Rashiku's shoulders to tense. The examples were even worse. With the pleasant memory making the boy's face tighten in embarrassment from the bluntness, and the unpleasant memory causing his hands to ball into fists under the table. If that was the criteria for the answer, there was only one event that qualified, and Rashiku could feel his throat tighten, making it increasingly difficult to speak.

It was a partial relief that Akira was first, with his being an easy introduction. His boastful claims at becoming stronger than his village founders were rather annoying though. Becoming that strong as a goal itself wasn't a bad thing, but making such statements seemed insulting to those that he wanted to surpass. Rashiku's eyes were narrowed for the briefest moment, but the boy didn't dwell on it. Especially when Akira had answered which advanced nature it was that the Senju had. Wood Release, that was it.
And then, it was Rashiku's turn. Taka-Sensei had turned his head along the line of his students, from Akira, to Rashiku. For a moment the room was silent as Rashiku didn't answer, staring ahead at his instructor, and around the room. His gaze glancing towards his fellow genin as well. Finally, words started to form as he spoke in, at first, short answers.

"I am Rashiku Karata. I am twelve. I was born in the Mist Village. I like drawing, and I dislike vinegar..." A break formed after he answered all but the final two questions. Ten seconds passed by, then longer, as if he was going to refuse to answer the harder piece, but finally it came forth. "My favorite day was when my father helped me choose my weapon. We found my sword with two blades well-suited to me, I could handle its weight and wide surface area. And... Five months ago the Mist Village attacked my clan and family. They killed everyone, and my father was torn to pieces by explosive tags. I... escaped through the hole in the wall he made with his body. That is why I am here in the Leaf."

More stretches was a good idea. If the three of them were going to be carrying water buckets filled near to the brim, it wasn't good to have the muscles not ready. As embarrassing as it was, it was best to follow his teammates and his teacher as they got more limber. He stepped back away from the buckets towards his team and started with more movements just in time for them to give their answers to their instructor's question. Shiori sweetly, innocently said exactly what an instructor would want to hear. The kind of answer you would put on a written test to gain extra points and hope it pushes you into that desired A score. 'BULLSHIT!' Screamed through Ken's mind as he stared at Shiori. He was almost shocked by her blatant lie of an answer, and was taken aback enough to be stopped in the middle of his bended-knee stretch as he looked at her. His eyes narrowed as he focused on her, full of suspicion and rising anger. He started to wonder if her hiding her motivations were the Spiga hiding something nefarious. Were they plotting something? Various thoughts ran through his head in a flash, before suddenly they were all wiped away with the girl doing another stretch right in front of his kneeling down position. It was good that the boy had covered his face with the mask, as his cheeks flushed a bright pink and his eyes went wide as he stared for a couple of seconds longer than he meant to.

Kenshiro stood still after he got up from his stretch for a few seconds, holding his hand underneath one of his nostrils, unsure if he was going to have an issue. Fortunately he had himself under control just in time for Burai to start with his own turn for his answer. At first Kenshiro rolled his eyes with the opening of Burai's speech, thinking of it along the same vein as Shiori's answer. However, the more Burai spoke, Ken realized how legitimate every word that came from him was. He turned from his initial scoff to listening to every bit, with a small smile. "Words to put 'the magnificent crab' to shame Burai-san!" Ken let out, jokingly picking on his teammate for a second, but is tone become much more sincere as he followed it with a simple, "I wish you luck."

It finally was time to get moving. With a preparatory sigh, he picked up the buckets of water and balanced the weight. They were heavy, but more of an annoyance than truly difficult. Ken was eager to get to the training ground and be rid of them so he moved with a brisk pace. He wasn't running, but jogging at a steady rate. The style of his Gentle Fist gave him great manual dexterity with his arms especially, and he was able to keep the buckets level through nearly the whole trip. That suddenly changed however, right near the end of the run, when out of an alleyway a grouping of wooden shuriken came flying right towards him! "Look out!" A little boy shouted as Kenshiro lifted his knee up to let the training weapons pass by underneath and bounce off the street and into the stall of a frightened fruit merchant. The sudden lurch to get out of the way made Shiori's bucket jolt back and forth, sending a small wave of water flying out to the air infront of him. Reacting in a desperate attempt to get the water back in the bucket, his hand extended out, his thumb the only finger holding the bucket, as he sent out his chakra into the gripping of water still in the air. The air around the water shimmered and the water itself rippled as it collected together into his palm before dropping down into the bucket blow.

Truthfully, he wasn't sure if his save had counted. He had spilled some, even if none landed on the ground. With another sigh he turned back towards Kuree and asked her. "So... We don't have to go back do we?" Kuree had stopped with them, looking down at the ground from her 6 foot high second story view and said "Hmm... i don't see any water on the ground, good move Kenshiro! I expect to see some more innovation out of the rest of you! So lets pick up the pace a little!" Giving her innovative student a thumbs up before she tried to put some motivational fire under their feet as she kept moving. Kenshiro's face sank as she talked about picking up the pace. He was done going fast. So close to the goal, it was time to play it safe and just walk. That's what he had planned to do, but alas "The Mountain" had other ideas. The group of children in the alleyway waved apologetically, the shuriken thrower having his hand scratching behind his head with the biggest 'I'm guilty' smile with a number of missing first teeth. Kenshiro shook his head and regathered his focus, before continuing to jog once more, and going just a bit faster than before. Not much, but not so slow where he was likely to get Kuree to notice and crack the whip on him. It wasn't long before they reached the training grounds themselves, and with relief Ken carefully put the buckets down, making sure to not spill any just in case that was an ever-present condition.
With a clarification to the chakra leaking palm move, Koji has been cleared for use :3
