I thought arguing semantics was what we did for fun. The wakizashi is basically a shortsword in how it was used.

I've been busy these past couple of weeks. Last week I was in allergy sickness mode. Been lurking at most.
And furthermore even the Odachi, the largest of the japanese swords only had a blade about 3 feet long, and that was only used on horseback.

A wakizashi is between 2' and 2'6" if I remember correctly. A katana can be from 3' to 5'. And tanto are 6' average, I think.
Dude. A wakizashi is 1.5-2 feet long. A katana doesn't even reach 2.5 feet at its longest. A tanto is like 25 cm long.

"Alright then, let's go!" Dick took a few confident steps towards the door but suddenly stopped in his tracks mid-stride. Slowly he turned back around to face Kira, a solitary nut jostling out of place from the pile and clattering on the floor. His brow was furrowed, expressing that he had maybe started to do things without thinking them through first.
