Finn's eyes snapped up to where the sound of cracking twigs reverberated throughout the woods. Standing still, motionless, the girl notched another arrow. Standing slowly, she moved through the trees, her form almost being lost among them. Walking slowly, she judged the forest, and it gave her few answers. A broken twig lied on the floor of the the forest. Looking around, Finn found several more signs. A pushed branch, not yet to its place of origin. Finally, her eyes, attuned to the dark as they were, chanced upon something that did not belong. A bow, a perfectly carved piece of wood, sat at the bottom of a great pine, along with a quiver of arrows. Their forms unmistakable, Finn stalked to the tree's edge. There were scuff marks on the bark, pieces of mud hung along the tree's crags.

Someone was here, and they were phenomenal climbers. Looking up, all Finn could see was the shivering of the tree's branches. Pulling back the arrow that she had already notched, Finn spoke out. "Hey, you up there. Don't hide, I know you're up there. I also know that you were the one who shot the moose. The broken arrow matches those in the quiver down here." Taking a breath between words, Finn continued, her crimson eyes studying the canopy. "I'm willing to share the moose if you come down now."

The Glass Clan


History

The Glass Clan was built from the few surviving remnants of rats that were trapped within the upper levels by the Black-Wings. Their leader, Tizen Orven, brought them together. He taught them the mysteries of life. Quickly, the clan was able to grow great plants that produced much food. However, this came with a price. Many an insect came to seek out this abundance, but the small clan of Glass soon developed technologies, technologies left by the Creators, and pushed back the devils.

In more recent times, the monarchy has set up outposts along the roof proper, as well as certain paths within great empty tubes in order to move goods from the roof down to the base levels.

Leadership

The Clan of Glass follows a Monarchy, however, their king's power is limited. A governing body, much like the english parliament, keeps their king in check. Another oddity of the Clan of Glass, is that their king often foregoes any titles, preferring to be called only by his name.

Territory and Ressurces

The Clan of Glass lives within the roof itself. Their living quarters and scholarly buildings lie between the two great planes of glass. As such, they have developed a stratified system. Druids, their keepers of the Gardens, are seen as indispensable within the Clan. These Druids see to the growth of certain plants within the edges of the glass panes. A new object of the Druid's attention, though, has been the cultivation of certain trees that has been going on for several generations.

Culture and Faith

Those of the Glass worship the light of the Sky. With this, there are some cults within the Clan of Glass that worships the devourer of Blackwings. Screamer, against his knowledge, has been dubbed the protector of the Clan of Glass by many of the rats. It is one of the goals of the Sky's Church to make contact with the Screamer, and express to him their eternal gratitude.

Army and Warriors

The warriors of those of Glass are few, but skilled. As the druids spend their lives perfecting their craft, the Warriors of Glass spend their lives perfecting theirs. These warriors, of whom all are martial, use glass-tipped weaponry.

However, the Clan of Glass travels down the path of science and progress. As such, they have developed certain ranged weapons to protect themselves from both the Blackwings and enemy clans.

Bastion: The Last Tank Crew

Name: Andrew Calaumn, "Drake"
Age: 21, but looks 19
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 178 lbs
Nationality: American

Personality:

Drake has a rather strange personality. He is cold and aloof when it comes to keeping his soldiers alive. He will do whatever it takes to make that a reality. While the group has had some close calls, Andrew has been able to keep them alive.

On the other hand, he can get explosively angry about really stupid shit. Also, he is addicted to caffiene.

Bio:

Andrew is actually older than 19, he just looks that age. It's a side-effect of his 'condition'. You see, Andrew is a mutant. While not as bad as those that roam the wastes, mindlessly attacking others, it's still different. His condition involves black scales that cove his spine and end with a 4.5 foot tail that he typically wraps around his waist. It also causes him to age more slowly than normal human beings. So, in actuality, Andrew is 21.

Having been an immigrant, Andrew has grown up within Japan his entire life. His friends, those that work with him, don't know about his condition and Andrew is scared that they might turn on him if they ever found out.

It started 5 years ago, when he was 16. Andrew had been exploring the nearby region when he accidentally fell into a pit laced with radioactive chemicals. He had gotten lucky. Despite the bone-shattering pain that his mutation caused, Andrew was able to keep control of his mind. When he finally ascended from the pit, the home he once knew was gone.

The yakuza had wiped it out. As such, the now 17 year old Andrew began to roam. He quickly found clothes that could hide his condition as he travelled to what he believed was the last bastion of rational individuals. A school, a school that had been run by Americans.

After finding it, Andrew was able to convince them to let him in. THough, one of the groups doctors did find out about his condition in a routine evaluation, the man had kept it hidden and off the records. In exchange, Andrew had to serve as something of a research subject for the doctor. In the process, Andrew learned new things about his mutation.

He is slightly more resistant to radiation than a normal human.
He has better night-vision than a human.
He is faster than a normal human.

This is both his gift and his curse, and Andrew battles with it everyday.

As for how he managed in the school, Andrew quickly rose through the ranks of cadets. He successfully completed the ridiculously hard sniper courses while simultaneously becoming one of the best tacticians in his year. While the examinations were difficult, Andrew was a dedicated young man. He learned all that he could, and excelled in that which he could. It was all for one reason: To take the fight to them. THe Yakuza, Mutants, and that rogue A.I.

Wake up and burn.

Other:
Drake loves to play chess and will try and challenge Foresight whenever he can.

Hey while I think the discord is pretty awesome, I personally cannot use it. As such, I ask that all info that has been decided and agreed upon within discord be posted to either the OOC or sent to me in PM.

Also, if anyone wants, then I would love to do some background stints between characters. Just a method that I have found to really help set character relationships.
