Much like his boyfriend, Kavan couldn't help but continue laughing as the pair exited the locker rooms and headed back towards their next classes. That surely was an interesting way to start their Monday morning off. "I could've gone the rest of my life without seeing that," Kavan said with a shake of his head, trying his hardest to erase the images of Ariana being bent over a wooden bench by Max Wallenberg out of his mind. "I think I'm permanently scarred, now."

Soon, the two had started down the main hallway once more, and it wasn't long before they spotted none other than Sonny and Marisol. Kavan offered his two friends a warm smile as they approached, this smile only faltering slightly when his eyes landed upon their intertwined hands. Almost instantly, the gears started turning in Kavan's head, and he subsequently came to a sudden realization: Mari and Sonny were a thing now. As Sonny began his spiel, it took every ounce of strength in Kavan's body to keep him from gagging at the sight of the small bruises on each of their necks; Just the thought of the two of them kissing, let alone fucking, made him want to hurl. "You could've left out a few of those details..." Kavan said under his breath as he cast a shocked look at Archer.

And then came the apology from Marisol, to which Kavan simply offered her an understanding nod. "Welp, as long as you two are happy together, I guess that's all that matters, right?" The young man said, trying to lighten the mood. "We love you guys, so you'll always have our support... you know, as long as the PDA is kept to a minimum." His tone was joking, of course, but he definitely meant every single word.

It was then that another thought popped into Kavan's head. "And you said that Ryland walked in on you guys earlier? Sheesh... What a way to start off the semester, huh? I wonder how he's doing now that he's gotten a chance to become re-familiarized with King's."

Of course, Chanel was right behind Julie MacMillan when she decided to approach the growing group of students in the hall and take matters into her own hands; part of Chanel was glad that it was Julie who had taken the lead, because if it had been her instead, she wouldn't have been anywhere near as calm and collected as her best friend seemed to be. Another part, however, wished that she'd acted on impulse and did exactly what she'd been itching to do since the moment she found out who the real Kavi Salvador was: give him a good old slap across the face.

As far as Chanel saw it, Kavi was the root of all of the drama that was starting to unfold. It was he who decided to kiss April in front of practically the entire Senior class on Halloween, all while knowing that he had a girl like Ariel in his corner. It was Kavi who had April unwillingly roped into this little mess. Kavi was the problem. Not Ariel, not April, not the tall guy who looked like he came straight out of Teen Beach Movie... Kavi. Acting on instinct as she watched things unfold, Chanel grabbed hold of April's hand and took a couple of steps back. "You already know we got you, girl," Chanel muttered to April as she watched Julie shove the tall, long-haired boy backwards.

"And uh, who the hell is this guy?" But soon, Julie had the guy pinned against the lockers, and Chanel couldn't help but smile and internally cheer the young woman on as she read him to filth. "Period!" Chanel shouted, agreeing completely with everything Julie had said. It didn't take long for Ariel to step in and defend the guy; Chanel rolled her eyes in disappointment before listening to what else she had to say. It was only after then that Chanel gently tugged on Julie's arm, signaling her to back off.

"You know what, I think it's time that we remove ourselves from this situation," Chanel said to the group, directing most of what she had to say next to April and Ariel. "April doesn't need to deal with all of this petty bullshit... the stress isn't good for the baby. And actually, I don't think that all of what this Ryland guy had to say was all wrong. I mean, he shouldn't have called you out your name like he's ya father, that's for sure. But I don't appreciate you being all passive aggressive towards one of my best friends because your man is a trifling ass cheater. Focus all that negative energy on him instead, okay? And April, girl.... what the hell are you thinking?" And without warning, Chanel suddenly took the PS4 out of her friends' hands and tucked it under her free arm.

"This is what we're not gonna do. I'm sure that my brother Andre... or whatever other faithful and deserving person we give this shit to, will love their new system. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm not trying to be late to first period." And with that, Chanel began to walk away from the group, the sound of her platform heels echoing through the halls as she did so.

Unlike a lot of the Meadow University students around her age, Ramona Martin never really cared much for parties. Sure, she was almost always in attendance after being persuaded by her friends to tag along, but nine times out of ten, she found herself wishing mid-party that she were still in her dorm, binge watching Netflix shows with Leo and getting high. But Ramona would be damned if she ever skipped out on going to one of the best parties of the year; The Great Bash was a legendary party that had been held annually for as long as anyone could remember, and Mona had yet to miss one since her Freshman year. And like every other Bash, Ramona had spent several hours before it preparing for what was to come.

She picked out one of her hottest outfits, rolled a few jays that she'd probably end up sharing with whoever at the party asked, and pre-gamed with the bottle of Crown Apple she had stashed away in the back of her closet. She even blasted some music of her own and danced around her room in an effort to get into the partying kind of mood; she wouldn't have blamed her roommate at all if she happened to get tired of her before she left. By the time Ramona even stepped foot out of her dorm, she was off her ass. Seriously, she felt like she was floating. "I'll see you in a few Camillaaaaa, don't be too lateeee. I'll save you a dance," Mona called out in a singsong voice as she let the door shut behind her, and then she was off to her destination.

Like any other responsible adult would, Mona decided to take a Lyft to the party. Well, she let the driver get her as close as he could before she stumbled out of the backseat and began her walk on the trail that led to The Hawk’s Nest. It wasn't long before Mona could hear the music that pumped through the speakers, as well as the commotion of dozens of Meadow students arriving on the scene. She made sure to send Leo and Junie a quick text to let them know she was there before continuing her walk. After pushing her way through groups of students, saying the occasional "hey girl" whenever she spotted someone she knew, Mona's eyes suddenly widened in pleasure at the sight of the snack and liquor tables... Well, primarily the chips and salsa that sat upon the snack table. Without hesitation, Mona grabbed herself a small plate and began piling it with chips. It wasn't until she'd already eaten about half of them that she realized someone else she knew fairly well stood not too far away.

"Tequila, huh?" Mona said as she approached none other than Jasper Delamar. "I've always been more of a whiskey kind of girl, but at this point I think I'll drink just about anything to get lit tonight. So what do you say? Wanna take some shots?"

Starring Stella Lambert and Carter Newton

To say that Carter was happy to see Stella would be an understatement; in fact, he couldn't help but grin from ear to ear when he spotted her waving at him from down the hall. He always smiled when he saw Stella; her positive energy was infectious, and she never failed to brighten his day. This time, however, something was a little off. She seemed to be a little more fidgety than usual. He returned her hug with equal warmth, and then continued his stroll to class at a slower pace, this time with her by his side. "Hey Ma," Carter said, his smile slowly starting to fade, "It was alright, I guess. I got to go back to Cali for a lil while to see the rest of my family. But I bet it was nothing compared to traveling overseas. My parents stay leaving me behind whenever they go to some foreign country to handle their business or whatever..."

When Stella brought up Chrissie, it didn't take long for Carter to connect the dots; it explained why she seemed to be so nervous. It was no secret to anyone that Carter and Chrissie weren't exactly the best of friends, so it made sense as to why she'd be a little skeptical about their earlier conversation. "My conversations with Chrissie are always intense. It's Chrissie we're talking about," Carter said slowly, carefully thinking about what he was going to say next. "She was just telling me about your trip... something about Paris being the 'city for love.'"

β€œO-oh, I see.” On that mention, Stella’s wide smile of an honest joy faded into something reminiscent of confusion. Her eyes blinked rapidly as if she was trying to process what Carter just told her (if he looked close enough, he might see it). As she tried to not let it get to her, the previous feelings of unexplainable rage resurfaced, the same rage she was certain faded when she saw Carter. But it was back and threatening to ruin the visage of a seemingly-calm Stella. β€œSo, what did she say exactly?” Stella asked, her voice on the verge of breaking but she managed to hold it together (for now).

Carter was too busy trying to piece his own thoughts together to notice that there was a certain shift within Stella. It took him a few moments to muster up the courage to say what he did next, and he almost instantly regretted doing so when it finally came spilling out. "She said that something happened. Nothing more, nothing less... but I can only assume from how she said it that, you know... you met someone while on your trip to Paris and fell in love or whatever. And I don't mean to sound super hurt or jealous or anything, I just thought we had something going. But maybe I was just reading things wrong."

Stella couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Well, okay that wasn’t accurate. She believed it. She knew her cousin inside and out. She knew Chrissie had a tendency to be dramatic but this? This? She couldn’t even bother to fathom how Chrissie Perez McCoy could do this to her. Stella thought Chrissie valued her more. She thought that Chrissie loved her and thought the world of her. The one person she wanted to spill the tea on her Paris adventure was the last person she thought would betray her like this. What hurt her the most right now wasn’t really the fact she told the story about her vacation nor was it even the fact that she told Carter (okay that had her feeling a little jilted) but it was that she left key parts out and now gave Carter the inaccurate impression of what really happened.

β€œNo, that’s not--” Stella needed to choose her words carefully. Unlike her cousin with a loose tongue, Stella needed to make sure Carter knew the whole story and not just the parts that painted Stella in a bad light. β€œYes, I went to Paris for winter break, that much was true. And again, yeah I ran into an old friend of mine. Maybe, for a moment, sparks flew and I was almost swept off my feet, but Carter…” She grabbed his hand and squeezed it tightly, making sure she had his full attention. β€œI can’t stress this enough that I didn’t do anything. Marcel kissed me, but I stopped it because I didn’t feel for him what I think I might feel for you.” She spoke as clearly as she could but Lord knew her hand was shaking and her chest felt like it was on fire with how fast her heart was beating.

A wave of relief washed over Carter as he listened to Stella clear things up. While part of him was still a little jealous of this Marcel person, it felt good hearing that Stella might feel something for him. Of course, he believed everything that she said, and felt a little stupid for even entertaining what Chrissie had told him earlier. He gave Stella's hand a reassuring squeeze as he said, "It's okay, Stella. I understand." But something still didn't sit right with Carter; Even after he spoke these words to her, all the young man could think about in that moment was Chrissie McCoy. "I don't wanna sound rude, but maybe your cousin should mind the business that pays her." His tone was joking, of course, but he meant every single word that was said. While he and Chrissie always had their little feuds, this time she'd surely overstepped. Oh, how he couldn't wait to run into the little theater geek herself later on that day.

At his comment, Stella laughed. β€œShe shouldn’t have blabbed about a story that wasn’t even hers to blab about!” She huffed, clearly still quite upset with her cousin. β€œI trusted her with that. Literally she was the first person I wanted to tell because, like, Carter I felt terrible for leaving her all by her lonesome while I was having a blast in France. And we always β€” always β€” swap stories about our adventures. But for her to do this to me?” Stella felt her head getting red hot with anger again. β€œI don’t even know. All I do know is Chrissie betrayed me and if she thinks I’m the same passive, naive girl I was before Christmas break, she has another thing coming.”

After her ranting episode, Stella felt a little better, though this was far from over. Paris did a lot for her confidence. Had this been last year, Stella might have been quick to forgive her best friend, or at the very least, try to understand why she’d do this. But now? Stella wasn’t going to be so naive.

Before skipping off to find her best friend, Chanel took a quick stop at her own locker. In swift motions, the young woman input her combination, pulled the locker open, and began to unload the contents of her bag. She then took a look in the mirror that hung on the door, using that time to apply a little more lipstick and blot whatever shiny spots had appeared on her freshly beat face. "The fucking struggles of having oily skin..." the young woman muttered under her breath as she searched around the tight space for her setting powder. Less than five minutes later, and she was ready to go; she gathered the materials she needed for AP Literature and continued her journey down the hallway. The clicking sound of her platform heels echoed through the narrow space as she walked, her head on the swivel for the fiery redhead known as Julie MacMillan. Who she saw instead as she continued walking, however, was none other than April Foster, and if it weren't for the two people she spotted standing in front of her, she would've stopped for a brief moment to say hello.

Instead, the young woman sped up and continued her search, this time more eager to find her friend than before. And when she did finally spot Julie, it only caused the young woman more confusion. Why in the hell had she just finished speaking to the self proclaimed Candy Man himself? "Oh, you're definitely gonna have to spill the tea about... whatever the hell that was," Chanel said as she approached her friend and looped her arm with hers. "But that's gonna have to wait for lunch or something, cause we have to go. Like, right the fuck now."

And without warning, Chanel took off walking once again, this time with her best friend in tow; She walked surprisingly fast for someone wearing five-inch heels. "So you remember all that shit that happened with April and Kavi at the Halloween party, right?" Chanel said as she continued to push their way through the sea of students. She didn't stop practically dragging Julie along until the small group that had formed down the hall finally came into their view. "Well... I was thinking that April might need a little backup this morning. You know, just to make sure things don't go completely left. I mean, I'm sure she's got everything under control, but from the looks of it... that Ariel chick doesn't look too happy."

As Chanel finally took a closer look at the scene that was unfolding, her eyes suddenly landed on the box that April held in her hands. "Any idea what the hell that is in her hands... or who that other guy is?" It was only then that Chanel noticed the unfamiliar boy who towered over the rest of the group. "You know, it's been a while since I've had to punch a bitch, and I'll gladly do it for April and my future niece's sake."
