Perhaps it could be in like one of the FE games where we need a distraction to allow us to escape against overwhelming forces so we need to leave some behind. That or we could get split up in some way which leaves them as not dead but not activly in the story unless we need/want them to be.

Armaldo yawned again and waddled down the hallway mumering out a word of thanks. He was used to going to bed whenever he wanted so he wasn't used to be tired. Armaldo turned down the hallway, opened the closest door he could find and went in curling the blanket around him making a small comfortable nest in the middle of the bed.

Sol thought about it briefly. "Never felt the need I suppose. Not that advancing in rank couldn't be fun. If the opportunity comes up I certainly won't pass it by. It has been a bit droll lately." He turned to face Liz. "Indeed, more of a brawl but we were stopped just short of the fun starting by some council member, Ryan, I think, real pity that. Oh well suppose I have to find something else to do." He smiled mischievously, "Or perhaps make something to do." Sol said thoughtfully.

Dorisma rushed into combat attempting to roar ferociously but the noise caught in her throat causing her to instead cough in a mildly aggressive fashion. Ignoring the small failure she quickly made her way in front of Robert blocking the zombies from attacking him while he fully recovered and assuming a defensive stance ready to brutally retaliate against any attacks made against her. Dorisma was willing to bet she could take a hit better than him and besides, his magic would probably be more useful without a rotting corpse in his face

Sorom rolled out of bed lazily. Ugh some sort of meeting toady about a mission or some such. "Come on guys lets go." he said yawning at the end of the sentence and leaving his home. It had been a strange two months adjusting to the new Gallade. He was much the same but never quite seemed to be fully in control as he used to be, his movements just slightly... off. Sometimes Gallade ignored him completely and once had nearly attacked him, it was a little frightening but the incidents seemed to be getting more under control happening with less and less frequency. He arrived at the Hokage's office with his demons behind him, "Something about a mission?" Sorom asked as he walked in barely suppressing another yawn. Gawds he hated mornings.
