Deep Ground Online (Hiatus)

So my questions are related to me considering the possibility of making a combat focused Warlock Mage. Obviously they can wear no more than cloth for amour but regarding weaponry what do Mages have access to? I assume they primarily use staffs because of their magic enhancing abilities but do they have the option of using other weapons?

Monodextrous Casting: Enables you to wield a melee weapon in one hand.

Would this allow you to wield ANY melee weapon or just a staff in one hand?

Well unless some one is trying to interact with them then I don't believe its a problem. In addition they did specifically take a different route than most. I plan on going route by route numerically so obviously I'll probably get passed by other people.

Sories quickly got on the bus impatiently waiting for it to arrive at her stop. As soon as it did she raced out and made her way into her house. As she dashed up the stairs she yelled, "Mom I'll be in my room." Sories heard a polite sound of affirmation which was more than enough for her. Sories quickly logged in and checked her stats. Only level 5, she would have to get much stronger, no way she would let that geek beat her. Soreis checked her rival's information. Ha, he was only level 4; she had already taken the lead. She looked around, seemed like things were pretty active today, not it mattered to her. She tended to stick to solo play, playing with others was basically asking to be let down. Sories un-slung her bow and prepared to go hunting, there was no way she would fall behind, not now that she had the lead.

Flare winced as the fiery attack succeeded in doing absolutely nothing except for making Ironside angry at him. The angry glare he received was more than enough rebuttal to prevent him from making another attack like that. It looked like Demios was prepared to throw one of the two Ironsides at another robot, no doubt demolishing it. That left two robots that were getting zapped by Bumblebee. Taking Void's advice he fired off a flurry of flaming bullets aimed at the robots joints.

High School Rumble! [open for applicants]

Meruis gave a quizzical look shared by most members. Usually the coalition left the brawling to the other clubs. His magic of course was rather helpful for combat so he would no doubt have to participate. It would be best if here were to learn some new tricks between now and the council. Of course he rarely participated in battles so it wasn't like anyone besides his clubmates knew what his powers were. Simple enough, he continued attempted to decipher the magic that lay within his book, he would need it if he wanted to be of any help in the battle. Though it occurred to him that perhaps he should try some field testing. Perhaps he should get into some fights simply for testing purposes.

Kosdar yawned. Boring, what as he supposed to do here again? Go to school and find a female? Ugh, sounded troublesome and pointless. He looked at the device on the desk but it was covered in strange symbols and he had no idea what they did. Sighing, he lay down on the bed mildly curious to see what this school of theirs was. Hopefully it was at least more exciting than sitting around here doing nothing. At least the room was clean and the bed wasn't too terrible he supposed.
