Alex

Vicki Victory? Huh, he could've sworn he knew the name from somewhere. Ah well, no biggie. "Me?" He asked mildly surprised by the question. "I mean its pretty cool. I can throw knives and stuff so if I just ignore any implications and accept that I basically just took a level in badass, its pretty cool." he said grinning confidently as they walked. In another few moments they were inside the hotel and in the elevator, a brief wave to the old man and the explanation that they were here for the party thing and all was well. Pressing the button for the floor the old man had told them Alex causally leaned back against the wall of the elevator and let out a small yawn. "So what's your plan? You going to try to bring a comic book to life? Be a boxer and kickass? Ignore it?" Alex asked with genuine curiosity. What were the other people doing? Arthur was trying to get on with life rather ineffectively, he himself was ignoring it. Victory here had already managed to find another champion and get into a fight with them, which was just downright impressive. Though it was keeping in line with the rest of her assets, Alex thought to himself idly. If life was less chaotic right now he might've asked her out. Hell's he was considering it anyway.

Artemis

Artemis stared at the panting man with calm, inquisitive eyes. "Enough? No that sounds too cryptic. I saw you chasing someone named Raze with the aid of your ghouls, though it seems your physical condition was not up to the task. Rather odd in fact, I thought Yorick was stronger with more ghouls out. Regardless I must ask, for what reason were you chasing him?" Quite an odd situation. What had Raze managed to do in such a short period of time to aggravate this one? She had a momentary recollection of his parting words. "Powered villains or not, there are people out there that I can help, and so help me God, none of you will stop me from doing what I can.” Perhaps he was already a vigilante and had merely been seeking others to join him. Not everyone approved of Batman's method of dealing justice. This man looked much like Artemis imagined Yorick himself, hagered, seemingly exhausted yet filled with some dread purpose. What was it that drove this man she wondered. So many people with such strong emotions and odd reason's for their behavior. She was no different in a way, but then again it was easier to project then reflect.
Shiro growled a bit in spite of himself. This brute was a bit stronger than the other one. Doubting that he could wrest the pole from the Thug's grasp he reluctantly released the weapon in time to dodge a wild wing of the club. Knowing that he had to act fast before they recovered from whatever he had done he rushed forward, slipping behind the Thug and letting out a yelp of pain as a second swing of the club smacked into the meaty portion of his thigh before he completed the maneuver. Luckily only one nail scrapped the outside of his leg, leaving a ragged bleeding gash, very painful, but not too debilitating. In a movement born of hours of practice Shiro's arms slipped around the Thug's arms and snaked into a distinctive lock on the Thug's neck. It was one half half nelson and one half sleeper hold, technically a move he had only seen on TV but he'd done both halves of the move before so it was a simple matter.

In another moment Shiro bent down, slamming his knees into the back of his victim's knees and heaved upwards and backwards, forcibly lifting the Thug into the air and slamming it on its head, leaving Shiro in a bridge position with the Thug on top of him, the only difference between being that the Thug's head was slightly embedded into the floor. Shiro was breathing heavily as he waited for a moment for any movement. If he felt even a twitch he would twist and slam the Thug into the ground once more, reversing their current position. If even that failed to get rid of him then Shiro would continue choking the Thug until he finally gave in. Given the Thug either managed to convincing play dead or was disabled Shiro would extricate himself and re-arm himself, with the intent of finishing off the remaining blinded hound that had tried to attack him in a similar fashion to the first two. Hopefully it would drop as easily as the first.
Sigrdrífa Rylo

Sigrdrífa's eyes popped open and she looked around. No danger, yet. A self check revealed she was fully armoured with a weapon and no visible injuries or signs of damage. Which left several questions. Why was she here, where was here, and who were these people with here? There about six other around the room, all seemed to have come awake at the same time. Eerie. Her eye's flicked around for search of an exit but the dark made it difficult to tell what was a dark wall and what was something else. Sigrdrífa took a step or two and pounded her spear butt against the floor and spoke decisively. "Sigrdrífa Rylo, knight of Jorhan. Current situation unknown."

Well there wasn't much else to say. She had no idea what sort of people were here and how they would react to someone taking charge. If needed she could do so but if there was a noble here she would be loath to make an enemy in such an unknown situation. Sigrdrífa scanned the face's of those still waking for their reaction, hopefully they were either like her and soldiers with no idea what was going on, or better yet, they had some semblance of what had happened. The fear that they would be bandits and of that ilk went unspoken and mostly unthought, such things would a waste of energy unless they proved themselves in time.
Province 4
The elite force sent in fought a quick and bloody battle. The mindless monsters sent against them fell before the fearsome magic and might of Andinon's gnomes. In days the province was under control and troops sent to reinforce the position. It seemed the fears of a massive force broiling behind the shadows were unfounded, giving Andinon new vigor in their fight against the shadow. (Possible epic description incoming)

Province 15
Daruis looked over the reports with a tired smile on his face. Progress, with the aid of the Alliance and Andion's vanguard the shadow's were slowly being pushed back. He could almost imagine a time when fear of monsters out of your worst nightmares attacking weren't a constant threat. But that was later and this was now. New orders were written. With another province taken the darkness would doubtless retaliate stronger than ever.

But, but, but, I mean holy fudge you could one shot yourself. I mean. I guess. Well. Spell economics and a few other things. I mean, if there was a card that could reflect that damage to your opponent it would be insanebut i'm to lazy to check, but if there's not then that's a scary cool card.
