Eldarin nodded shamefully. Then as the axe come towards him he ducked forward at the last possible moment, kicking his hilt into his hand. Now with his sword in a back-handed grip Eldarin came forward and thrust it into the axeman's heart. It was all remarkably swift, but Eldarin wasn't finished. He rose his left shield holding hand and a jarring flash of light emitted from it, doubtlessly blinding anyone unfortunate enough to look at it.
Just as he was thinking of ways to uncover some of the mysteries this situation had bringed??? up,

Eldarin nodded respectfully and waited, standing perfectly straight for the axe-man to swing. His timing would have to be impeccable for this to work. He began drawing the neccasary magic into his hands, making sure there were no visible signs of it. "Oh and from the front please. I couldn't bear the suspense of not knowing." Eldarin requested politely. Getting this right without being able to see the attack would make this much more difficult. Fortunatly they already believed him a coward so this shouldn't seem out of character. Eldarin reviewed his mental plan. Just a series of steps.

Moros Vorsickle

Moros whirled and raised his weapon to smash the pile of bones behind him when it suddenly turned into a pile of dust in conjunction with the distinctive feeling of a Song Knight's music. Moros grunted in surprise and looked around to see all the other skeletons suffered the same fate. Well. That certainly made things more simple. He glanced back inside the arena to see that the girl with the sheets had been dealt with. That left only the cathedral's mysterious solider. Lefay stepped beside him with a bored expression and yawned. "Well that didn't last long." She said casually. Shaking his head Moros said, "Good, now we see what to do next." With that he quickly moved to where the Princess and Captain were. "Shall we deal with the problem at the cathedral now?" he asked politely, bowing repectfully as he did so. Lefay has once again taken his shape but had no interest in being polite, rather she was carefully examining everyone there before sniffing disdainfully and looking away while tapping her foot impatiently.

Random Alley

"You know the voicy thing you do." Aliron said as he picked himself off the ground and rubbed his shoulders briefly to pretend it would make him warmer. It hadn't been this cold a few moments ago had it? He thought about her question for a second. The voices definatly had to be coming from her, where else could they be coming from? And they definatly had to be some sort of mind speaky thing. Did she not know she was doing it? No that didn't make any sense. "Yea that thought speak thingy." Aliron said confidently, answering his own mental question outloud. Speaking of voices he thought he distintivly heard someone cursing rather loudly above them. But there weren't any open windows or balconies or anything immediatly above, somebody yelling on the rooftops? Wierd. Plus there was one voice up there that sounded super evil, it was like her voice but definatly not hers. Were there more people like her? "Sorry for bugging you. But, uh, just for curiosity's sake, how do you do that thing? Are you like a magician? Ah- there I go again. You can leave if you want, I just wanted to know that I wasn't crazy." Aliron said sheepishly and looked down at his feet. Her hair was really pretty.
Shit. Where was Vane when you needed him? The one with the bow seemed the most problem-matic at the moment. However once he engaged the other two that bowman would have to be one hell of a shot to avoid hitting his friends. Unless of course he fired just hoping for hits, then that would be a problem. How to even the odds? Eldarin casually lowered his shield and dropped his sword to the ground, holding his hands out palm up to indicate defeat. Of course the hilt of his blade landed on his boot so he could kick it back up into his hands in mere moments "No need for that. Clearly you fine men have advantage of me and a farmer like me never was much of a fighter. Can't say I like the idea of bleeding out from an arrow shot though. Perhaps the gentlemen there with the axe would be willing to do me the favor of killing me with a single blow. A beheading would do." Eldarin said calmly, yet with a tone of dissapointed resignation. If they just gave him something to work with, anything at all, he might get out of this yet. If on the otherhand the two melee fighters slowly circled him while the archer took potshots, he would be- well far worse off to say the least.
Vuduin had watched the duel after his with interest, as well as a recording of the one before his. They had both been quite entertaining to watch. Rebecaa's duel in particular was rather fun, it had been rather drama filled, even including a surprise surrender at the end. Well that meant Vuduin's trick wasn't very original but that was all right. He'd found he didn't really have the heart for fighting, nor was he very good at it. Perhaps he could've won going all out, perhaps not. Of course as a result of his questionable decision he'd had to spend a few minutes getting looked over by medics after his own bout: but his wounds were rather minor, more exhaustion than anything else from Alain's draining attacks.

He'd competently sown the tear in his robe up: it was barely noticeable now, but the same couldn't be said for his glasses. He was still wearing them, though the right lens was entirely gone save for a few lonely shards. Probably unsafe. "Well it was a valuable experience I daresay." Vuduin said to no one in particular. He took another sip of water and leaned back his chair in front of the medic tent. He had been asked to at least rest for the next couple hours and get one last checkup before leaving and he'd of course obliged. After all, it was a very nice chair.

SHHHH!!!!
As soon as Eldarin felt the snap beneath his feet he was already moving. He couldn't be sure what was coming from where, but he knew that it couldn't come from the road behind him, so that was the direction he rolled. After nimbly springing to his feet Eldarin whirled and did a complete survey of the area to see if anything had been disturbed by the trap. It wouldn't surprise him if some foul beast had awoken or robbers were ready to spring from the rocks. As part of his survey he idly noted that those rocks would've doubtless broken several bones at best if he'd been unable to evade them. Fortunatly at this point Eldarin was more than used to the environment trying to kill him, as well as the things lurking in it.
