For a few moments, Sam simply held onto her silently, letting them warm each other as they slowly dried. The sound of rain only seemed to be growing stronger, which made him definitely not regret the choice of staying under the bridge. The storm was a veritable downpour, punctuated by flashes of lightning and the roar of thunder. Sam hoped it would not last too long, but he could think of worse situations to be in than his present one.

As Stevie kissed him, he found himself excited and nervous at the same time. His heart was racing, as she could no doubt feel. He loved her, and was afraid for their prospects of getting home not because he was worried about himself, but because he was afraid for her well-being. Still, his thoughts about the situation could not be denied, what the look in his eyes said could not be mistaken. He looked into her eyes with a light smile, but was obviously incredibly nervous. "So...s-should we....you know?" He began as he looked across her body, unsure of how to continue his question.
Sam put his arms around Stevie and pulled her close, pressing his forehead against hers. He was still cold, but having her so close did help to warm him. He looked into her eyes in much the same way as she looked into his. There was desire in his eyes, but he was nervous, as evidenced by how fast his heart was beating.

"I never want to lose you, and no matter what comes our way, I won't let it happen. Whether it is people with guns, other werewolves, or just the cold air, we'll face it together. I don't know how long we'll be stuck under this bridge, but as long as we hold each other close, we'll be fine." He said as he started to rub her back. There was still desire in his eyes mixed with fear. They had a lot to be afraid about when it came to the future, but for the moment, he did not care.
Sam gladly accepted her kiss before nodding and joining Stevie under the bridge, giving them both a much needed reprieve from the rain. He sat down beside her, putting his arm around her and pulling her close so they could share body heat, just as they had last night. Given how humid it was, it would take some time for them to dry, but at least the bridge was protecting them from the rain.

"You know, I enjoy being this close to you." Sam commented, placing a hand on her cheek and rubbing her back with the other. "I mean, I know we have a lot to worry about. In the short term, we have to get home and to our apartment without being arrested for indecent exposure, and beyond that...we're werewolves now, as crazy as that sounds to say. I honestly don't know how to deal with that, but...I'm glad to be facing it with you. I couldn't think of anyone else I'd rather have at my side. Even now, being caught naked and cold under a bridge out in the middle of the forest, just looking at you gives me hope. Maybe, just maybe everything will be okay." He ran his hand through her hair for a few moments before giving her another kiss, this one being much more passionate.
"Goodnight. I'm sure we'll find some plan for you." Ahnasha said as Ariel made her way to her bedroll. She didn't particularly like that she had to be the one bringing to light bad news, but it was something that needed to be said. It wouldn't be right to let her go into this thinking everything would be fine afterwards. Even so, Ahnasha did not believe that Ariel would back out of their plan. The gas this coven was producing was a direct threat to her sister's life, and if she did not believe protecting her sister was worth sacrificing her shop in Vos, then Ahnasha had seriously misjudged her. After a few more minutes, Ahnasha's fur had dried enough that she was able to finally get to sleep. She laid down beside Fendros, closed her eyes, and fell asleep within minutes due to her fatigue.

The next morning was fairly normal, though the rest of the day would be anything but. Most of their day would be spent finishing up their preparations for the raid later that night, but for the moment, they were simply having breakfast. This time, Ahnasha decided to start the fire and begin cooking for a change. She still ate her own breakfast raw, of course, but she thought she might as well be helpful and prepare the meals of those that preferred or, in Ariel's case, required them to be cooked. Meesei ate quickly and started straight to work on finishing the enchantments on the weapons they would be using later that night, while most of the others were simply taking a few moments to relax and wake up before getting to work. As the meal she was cooking neared completion, she found herself glancing at Ariel a lot. She felt sympathy for her, considering how much she was going to be giving up for this raid. It only seemed right that they find some way to help her in return, but at the moment, Ahnasha was drawing a blank in terms of ideas.
Sam nodded and took her hand as they walked along the river in the direction that would hopefully bring them to somewhere he recognized. The rain was light for a while, but it did eventually start to pick up a bit. Sam started to feel some of the cold creeping into his body, so he put an arm around Stevie and walked close alongside her to share at least some of their warmth. He started to grow more uncomfortable not just because of the rain, but also because of the simple fact that he did not have shoes. He wasn't used to walking barefoot outside, so the sticks and rocks he was stepping on caused them to grow sore. It wasn't a problem he would normally even think about, but it was getting harder for him to walk. Add to that the rain which was steadily growing in strength, and he seriously doubted that they would be able to make it back before having to stop. The good news was that he was starting to recognize the area they were in and, after a few more minutes, they spotted the bridge.

"Well, it looks like you were right about the bridge, but...it's still going to take hours to get back to the car from here. The rain is starting to pick up, and I'm starting to feel cold. We could try to make it back to the car in the rain, or...you see that spot on the river bank where the bridge passes over it? It looks pretty dry there, we could try to wait out the storm there. I don't know, what do you think?" He asked.
Sam would have loved to stay in the water with Stevie for much longer, but the rain which rolled in put a rush on their plans. He climbed out as well, giving a worried look to the sky. The rain was light for the moment, and therefore bearable, but if it started to rain much harder, there was no way they would be able to keep moving on. Still, as he approached her, he kept an optimistic smile on his face. "Indeed, since you like it so much, maybe I should just stay like this all the time, then. It feels nice to have your eyes on me." He joked, returning her wink before turning his eyes to the sky once more, his expression turning more serious.

"I admit, I'm concerned about the rain though. If we're close to where I think we are, it's still going to take most of the day to get back to our car. If it starts raining much harder, we will have to find some place to take shelter, maybe look for a tree with a thick canopy to wait it out? It might not feel like it now, but if this turns to a downpour, we could freeze to death." He commented, his face showing he was concerned.
Sam's eyes once again fell to Stevie, to which the looming storm overhead seemed to take a backseat. If it was difficult for him not to stare before, it was impossible now. He had a hard time thinking of something to say, not that it would have mattered since she was now underwater, so he simply waded out into the river. It did indeed feel warm enough for a river, so he was not uncomfortable. He dove under the water as well and took a few moments to clean the blood from his body before looking once again to his girlfriend. He couldn't help but to stare, and it was fairly obvious he was doing so. He smiled, appreciating her beauty for a few moments before he had to return to the surface for air.

Swimming over to her, his expression showed that he was in a generally upbeat mood. "You know, I've said it before, but I believe I should say it again. You are incredibly beautiful, both in how you look, and who you are." He said with a smile before wrapping his arms around her neck and giving her a kiss.

Quick question, how based off the ship are we going? I would imagine it would be larger and contain more rooms & hallways, but would there still be that square balcony in the center that overlooked the mess hall on the lowest deck?

No, the two decks are separate. There are still halls and rooms. The crew quarters are in one or two large rooms on the upper deck. On the lower deck, there are also halls and rooms, with a large storage room near the stern.
Sure, go ahead. I'm not too concerned about his resistances, as I know of a few things that could give him a run for his money. This particular battle isn't meant to be especially difficult. The guards are not actual legionnaires, even if they have the armor, and our characters had a well planned ambush which gives them the element of surprise. However, I have some ideas in mind for things that will happen that will make full use of my knowledge of the lore. There are plenty of little known creatures, magic, and characters that pirates who explore the untamed waters of the Abeccean might find.
"Hmm, then we should hurry. I hope it doesn't start raining; I don't know what we will do if it does. It's not like there are any caves around here, the best we could do for shelter would be a tree, maybe one with a lot of leaves." Sam commented. His eyes quickly looked over her body once more before he took her hand and looked off to the west. "I...guess we should go."

Using the position of the sun to gain their bearings, the two walked along to the west, towards where Sam predicted the river would be. His gave kept passing back and forth between the sky, and Stevie. By this point, he no longer really felt embarrassed by his own state of dress, at least, so most of his discomfort came from worry about the weather. A heavy downpour could potentially cause them to freeze to death if they didn't seek shelter. Some of the trees had thick canopies, so they would help some, but it would still get pretty cold.

After about half an hour, it still had not started raining, but the clouds had rolled in and were dark overhead. Thankfully, Sam's fear about the situation was lessened slightly when he heard the unmistakable sound of flowing water nearby. He looked at Stevie with an overjoyed expression; if they knew where the river was, then it meant he would be able to find their way back. He practically ran towards the source of the sound, still holding tightly onto Stevie's hand. They crested a small hill, revealing the river before them in all its majesty. With a smile wide across his face, Sam turned to Stevie and gave her a hug, momentarily not caring about their state of dress. When he finally pulled away from her, he looked at her with a bright smile still on his face. "There it is!. We're going to get home. It might take a while, but we're getting home. Do you still want to take the chance to wash the blood off?" He asked, still somewhat concerned about the clouds above.
