"Hmm, then we should hurry. I hope it doesn't start raining; I don't know what we will do if it does. It's not like there are any caves around here, the best we could do for shelter would be a tree, maybe one with a lot of leaves." Sam commented. His eyes quickly looked over her body once more before he took her hand and looked off to the west. "I...guess we should go."
Using the position of the sun to gain their bearings, the two walked along to the west, towards where Sam predicted the river would be. His gave kept passing back and forth between the sky, and Stevie. By this point, he no longer really felt embarrassed by his own state of dress, at least, so most of his discomfort came from worry about the weather. A heavy downpour could potentially cause them to freeze to death if they didn't seek shelter. Some of the trees had thick canopies, so they would help some, but it would still get pretty cold.
After about half an hour, it still had not started raining, but the clouds had rolled in and were dark overhead. Thankfully, Sam's fear about the situation was lessened slightly when he heard the unmistakable sound of flowing water nearby. He looked at Stevie with an overjoyed expression; if they knew where the river was, then it meant he would be able to find their way back. He practically ran towards the source of the sound, still holding tightly onto Stevie's hand. They crested a small hill, revealing the river before them in all its majesty. With a smile wide across his face, Sam turned to Stevie and gave her a hug, momentarily not caring about their state of dress. When he finally pulled away from her, he looked at her with a bright smile still on his face. "There it is!. We're going to get home. It might take a while, but we're getting home. Do you still want to take the chance to wash the blood off?" He asked, still somewhat concerned about the clouds above.
