"If it makes sense to, I will. It is a training bow, so the arrows are blunt and it has less draw strength. You used a staff last time, yes? I heard you did very well against Wutanxeex last time, even with the poison. I know I can't beat him. I...am a bit nervous to fight you." Okun-Jei responded honestly. He did not seem nearly as hostile as Wutanxeex was, and he certainly did not appear like a person that would beat on an opponent who had surrendered.

Kaleeth appeared to be at least a bit unsure. Her interactions with her father over the past few days had been tense, or at least they were from her perspective. It could have been just her own worries clouding her perceptions. "He did not yell at me or anything. I think he is still angry at you though. I just don't know if he is angry at me. I am certain that he is...disappointed with me, but I don't know anything else. When we talk now, it is only for a few minutes about important things. I am almost done with my armor, so he is going to make me a full hunter soon. I...think he is still proud. It is hard to tell."

I had assumed that Sharee knew a guy. Even I can't turn a profit with skooma despite how many of them I steal in any of my ES games. I think of it kind of like how one deals with excess ore in Skyrim; there's someone who's willing to buy it for a full price as long as you're willing to do the work of getting it yourself. I make a tidy profit on ebony this way until I get my smithing high enough to utilize it.

If that is the case, you have never played Morrowind. It's quite valuable in that game. You can make a lot of profit selling it, though the only people who will buy it are Thieves guild vendors, and Khajiit vendors.
Rareth groaned and stretched out her muscles as she awoke. Having Telmeck awaken her was nothing new to her. It happened quite a few times over the past year since he had been placed on leave on Rothia. Rareth had worked with him on the last mission he was on, the one that attracted the attention of his new superiors, the Rahn'Masser. They had grown...quite close to each other since that mission, so Telmeck was a regular visitor in her home.

"I cannot comment on what I may or may not have done last night and all that. You know the drill. Thavrin, make us some breakfast, and no, I don't care what it is. Surprise me." She said to her apartment's computer, which promptly carried out her instructions. She smiled and nuzzled her snout against his for a moment before standing to her feet and stretching out her muscles some more. "I do wish I could tell you more, as well as being able to give you a bit more warning when I'm going somewhere. Sorry for cancelling our plans last night, but this last task was dropped on my shoulders pretty unexpectedly. Ghirn has a habit of picking up assignments for me at the last minute, then giving me even less time to prepare."

Rareth sat back down and looked at Telmeck with a smile before putting her arm around him. "Don't worry though. The mission is over, and now, I have all the time in the world."

Seemingly seconds after Rareth finished speaking, Thavrin's voice appeared once more with an alert. "Master Rareth, you have an incoming call from Agent Ghirn'Lors, marked urgent."

Rareth lowered her head and sighed in resignation. "You know, I got overconfident. I deserved that. I need to take this in the other room." She said, giving Telmeck a pat on the back before walking upstairs to her bedroom. As soon as Thavrin closed the door behind her, it activated a holographic display that followed her around the room. Once, Thavrin accepted the video call, Ghirn, a green scaled Rothian with yellow markings on his face and neck, appeared on the screen.

"Good morning, Agent Rareth. I believe congratulations are in order." Ghirn commented.

Rareth chuckled. "You can congratulate me when you send me on an actual difficult mission. The one last night was almost depressingly easy."

"Well, you're in luck, then. Because that is exactly what I have for you right now. You know those talks between the Assembly and the Rahn'Saki that I have been telling you about, they're finally coming to fruition. The joint species team was approved, and you're being assigned to it." He explained.

Normally, Rareth would have been surprised, but as a Datius, she was privy to a good deal more information about the Rothian government than the average citizen. Since this matter applied directly to her, Ghirn had been keeping her in the loop. "Hmm, assigning a Datius to a join-species team. I suppose the Rahn'Saki are taking this very seriously, though I shouldn't be surprised about what happened with our last mission. By the way, those names I forwarded to you, the ones that were involved in last year's mission near the border of Sovereignty space, did the Assembly consider them?"

Ghirn nodded. "Yes, in fact, a few are being assigned to this as well. Ashley Munroy, Telmeck'Rorta, there will be a few friendly faces there. You should leave as soon as possible for the city of Concord on Pax. I'll send you the exact details of the meeting in a moment."

"Understood, sir. I will leave immediately...though I have to say, I do hope to get back under your command soon enough." Rareth responded.

Ghirn opened up another display next to him and typed away on it for a few moments before turning his attention back to Rareth. "Indeed. I will leave you to it, agent. Oh, and I am sending a message to Telmeck telling him to report to you for his next assignment. Or should I say Agent Telmeck? I am also giving him an official promotion to Agent of the Rahn'Masser. I would expect to see him soon." Ghirn said before ending the call.

"Sooner than you think."

Rareth gave a light chuckle and mused on the assignment for a few moments. Telmeck's involvement in the mission, as well as his promotion, was something she had been aware of over the past few months, but she had been unable to mention it to him. Now that he was officially a member of the Rahn'Masser, she could be a bit more open with him on classified matters, though it was still preferred that she keep her identity as a Datius a secret. Although, with a few centuries worth of work, it would possible he could one day attain that title as well. He certainly had the skill.

Stepping out of her bedroom and going back downstairs, Rareth heard the beeping of Telmeck's own device as she approached, indicating he had received a message. "I have a new assignment...and so do you, Agent Telmeck."
Also keep in mind that in our world, we have global transportation that can get goods from one side of the world to the other in days. Using sailing ships for that purpose, you get half that distance in months. Transportation costs would drive up the price considerably, for any good not produced locally. Also, a more practical reason for not overstocking the ship with skooma, even if you could afford it, would be the logistics of getting past port authorities. If every crate you have has skooma, then it would be amazing if it wasn't discovered.
Sabine's opponent was not exactly expecting to see her before the fight, so he did not have any questions immediately in his mind when Tunxeek offered to translate between them. He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, trying to think if he had anything particularly important to say. "Uhh....hello. My name is Okun-Jei." He finally said to introduce himself.

"I...did not, actually. I was too nervous to ask anyone about it. No one has said anything to me yet though. Maybe it is just because you are here and they are busy. The Treeminder has been working a lot on the trial recently, and Reanaseer does not usually leave her home. She is very old and does not have much energy. Usually, people have to go to her for advice. She only leaves her hut when we move the village to a new place, or something important happens. For my father...I have not spoken to him much. I would rather talk to the Treeminder about it." Kaleeth answered. Despite Janius' suggestions, she could not help but to eat quickly in anticipation of whatever it was he had in store for her.
I also need to go to bed now, goodnight.
Awesome, Jake posted. Now...time for me to sleep. goodnight.

Wow, you don't see why an empire would want to build a fort on an island they are colonizing, but you think that a Dwemer ruin is possible in Elseweyr? Are we living on the same planet? The Dwemer were a very isolated people, they really only built things in Skyrim, High Rock, and Morrowind. Another thing, Balmora blue is, as I've said, herbal. It is my idea of what Marijuana would be like in TES lore. No moon sugar at all. And while we're on that subject: While there may be inflation on the price when it is transported to the empire, have you thought about the difference in currency and cost of living between the two places. It's like taking Marijuana from Afghanistan, sure the dudes cutting it off the mountain are gonna hike the price a little bit, but only because it's coming to America, or Europe. Case in point, the Khajiits might ask for 5 more septims per bottle but that might just raise the price to, say, 15 for the smuggler. He sells it to the pushers in the Imperial city for almost double that and the bums are paying 30 (I used completely bullshit figures, but it doesn't change the logic). And by the way, how do you think those beggers in leyawin are affording skooma? It's gotta be cheap. That's just the way it is, dude.

The Dwemer did indeed only really settle in northern half of Tamriel. Morrowind has the most ruins, with Skyrim and Hammerfell also having some. As for the cost of skooma, though, a beggar might afford it the same way the poor in our world do. That is all they buy. Addicts tend to neglect other parts of their life just to get their next fix. It would be more expensive the farther it is from elsweyr, especially in the Empire. Moon sugar can only grow in Elsweyr.

Also, Balmora Blue does contain moon sugar. In fact, it is more potent than skooma. http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Balmora

As Meesei and Sabine arrived at the trail area, they saw a few people gathered. Thorantilth was not present, but his son was, as well as the healer that was resent for the last attempt, even if it was not quite necessary with Meesei being present. Certainly, she appreciated the effort that went into ensuring the safety of the participants. Just as Meesei had hoped, the opponent Sabine would be fighting was also present. He was a bit taller than Sabine, but she by far had more muscle mass, even if it was only due to her lycanthropy. Instead of a club, he had a blunted spear and a training bow. Unlike Wutanxeex, he looked at Sabine with more interest than contempt.

"Greetings, We thought we would wait here for the trial to begin." Meesei said in Jel as they approached. Her opponent nodded in response and continued to look at her curiously. He did not say anything, though that was likely just because he had no knowledge of Cyrodilic.

Kaleeth was very interested in what Janius was saying. She had no idea what he meant, but it sounded exciting. He was being vague on purpose, which only made her want to know more. Unconsciously, she started to eat more quickly to rush him along, as she hoped he would start whatever he was planning after they ate. "Oh, a surprise? What is it? Or, well, you can't tell me if it is a surprise, I guess. But...still, I very excited. Can you tell me anything about it? Will we be going somewhere, into the marsh maybe? Will I need to bring anything? Will I need potions?" She asked, almost forgetting to actually leave him time to answer.
I wouldn't consider the economics in game (especially in Skyrim) to be representative of its actual value in lore.
