Goodnight.
Ahnasha scratched her head, trying to come up with something in the way of a satisfactory response, but she hardly had the answer to one of life's fundamental questions. "What is love? Um, well, I don't think anyone can answer that, really. Scholars have been writing about it for thousands of years and have came no closer to an answer. Honestly, I don't think an answer exists; it's just too personal of a question. I think there is one thing that most people agree on, though, and that is it is easy to recognize once you find it. You can't really go out searching for love, at least not directly. It just...happens. It could be quick, or slower as with me and Fendros. Like Ariel said, though, I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's not something you'll miss when it happens." She said, hoping it would be a good enough explanation.

"You can...squeeze my hand really tight. Or anything else you can grab. I'll make sure to stay very close to you." Kaleeth said reassuringly before looking to Meesei with an expecting gaze.

"Very well, I will give it a try." Meesei commented, placing her hand on Janius' shoulder and giving an unusual amount of concentration. She closed her eyes and slowly started to charge alteration magic into him. After a few moments, he started to give off a violet glow, which dissipated once she removed her hand. "Okay, the spell should be active. Just breath as you normally would and your lungs will handle the water just like air. And...be careful." She warned.

I'm going to go after the small fry (the lowest bounty). Once I get a post up that is.

Hmm, I had hoped to come across someone else's character through this bounty.
"Um, well, the ceremony for a marriage is called a wedding, but...I have never been to one either. Living in the city, though, I have heard of what they are like." Ahnasha began. "I think they work differently in different places. Even if it is a marriage performed by a priest of Mara, it can be different depending on the location. At least in Leyawiin, weddings could be grand affairs with extravagant clothing and a kind of party afterward called a reception, or just a simple ceremony with a few friends and family members. In a lot of places, I think that mostly depends on wealth. I...doubt we will end up going through with such formalities, but if Fendros did want to then, well, I don't actually know how it would go. Fendros was raised more closely with his Dunmer heritage than the Imperial culture of Cheydinhal. I have no idea what Dunmer ceremonies are like." She explained. Ahnasha had more time to get used to Sabine's heightened curiosity in the time since her ritual than Ariel, but given how many years they spent with Sabine being terribly reclusive, it still felt like she was talking to a different person at times. Her inquisitive nature did make sense, though. While she was hardly a child anymore, she had years of curiosity to make up for.

Meesei was relaxing on her back in the water when Janius called out to her. Upon hearing his question, she gave him a perplexed look, then swam over to him. "Waterbreathing? I, well, yes...slightly. I am talented with alteration, yes, but...I have never had need of that particular spell. I know the concepts surrounding the spell, and have attempted to cast it out of curiosity before, but it requires that I put myself into a state of mind that isn't natural for an Argonian. We can learn to do so just fine, of course, but I have never had reason to practice it. I should be able to cast a spell that will last about ten minutes...or two minutes. It could wear off at any point in between, really. Do you still want me to attempt it?"
Ahnasha gave a bit of a chuckle at the thought of a wedding. Over the past few years before Fendros arrived, and even the months since, it had not been something that crossed her mind. She stopped floating on her back and swam more normally along with Sabine and Ariel. "No, he hasn't. Our lifestyle isn't really the same as what it was when we lived among Imperials. I suppose, with lycans, we do not have one set 'culture' with traditions we have to follow, but we still do not tend to put much importance on ceremony. Many lycans who find a mate will simply decide that they wish to be mates for life, which, to us, is just the same as an 'official' marriage. Whether Fendros actually wants to have a ceremony or not, I don't know." She answered.

Kaleeth's expression turned a bit sour when Janius mentioned the high cost of waterbreathing enchantments and potions. She had been hoping to find a way to explore the floor of the ocean outside the city with him, but it seemed like it was something that was out of reach. "If it costs so much, I don't think we'll be able to get an enchantment or potion or anything. Meesei said we need to save all our gold. I hoped we could explore the ocean together. But...maybe we still can? At least a little. How long can you hold your breath? I can probably carry you farther underwater than you can normally go."
Finally found the time to finish my post.

Also, Frontliner, did you ever decide whether or not to have your character go after the same bounty as Xan?
Xan was greeted with a mix of unpleasant odors when he stepped into the Ice Caps cantina, not that it was any different from most of the...lower class cantinas he visited. As per usual, he garnered a few looks from some of the patrons, but most were too absorbed with their drinks and conversations to give him more than a passing glance.

It took only a quick glance around the place for Xan to determine his target wasn't present, not that he expected him to be. That would be far too easy. He looked around for any servers he might talk to, especially female Rodians, but seeing as all of them were droids, the next best option was the bartender himself. He was making drinks as Xan approached the bar, and looked up for only a moment before waving Xan away. "Just take a seat, one of the droids'll get to ya."

"Ah, but I have this friend, a Rodian named Jakolir, who tells me you'll make the best glass of brandy only for those who come right to you. You wouldn't happen to know where he is, would you?" Xan asked as he leaned up against the bar.

Upon hearing Jakolir's name, the bartender knew immediately who Xan was and what he wanted. Considering that it was a government-sanctioned bounty which he had to post on his board as well, there were few in the establishment who did not know that Jakolir was wanted. "Look, I don't know nothin'. And if I did, I don't talk about customers." He answered dismissively.

Xan gave a chuckle. "I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about. I just want a drink." He said, sliding onto the table a credit chip of notably higher value than the cost of a drink. "Don't worry, I tip well."

The bartender eyed the chip for a few moments before quickly sliding into his pocket and starting on the drink. "Look, I don't know too much about that slimy lizard. I just know all that stuff in the bouty ain't all right, but it ain't all wrong either. He's scum, that's for sure, but I know that ship's not his. If you're after him, I don't know where he is. All I know is that a few days ago, he left and hasn't been back since. From what I heard, this Rodian lady, a lover by the sound of it, took him away. Now here, take your drink."

Xan glanced down the glass of brandy as the bartender walked away. He probably had more he could tell, but the bartender did not seem to be in the mood for an extended chat. Instead, he took the drink and began to casually walk around the cantina, observing its patrons and searching for someone from which he might gather a bit more in the way of information.
Sam and Stevie's captors ended up driving them quite a long distance from their camp, along roads Sam had never traveled before. They started out on mountainous backroads for hours, all the while their captors told them nothing about what was happening. Several times they stopped in out of the way places as if they were hiding. Several of the guards, as well as the woman leading them, made frantic-sounding phone calls just far enough away that they could not hear them clearly. Nevertheless, each time, they continued on as if nothing had went wrong. After a few hours on the interstate, they headed back onto the smaller roads and into the mountains.

By this point, Sam had not the slightest idea where they were, only that it took quite a long time for them to get there, even without considering the stops. In fact, it was already dark by the time they arrived at their destination. It looked as if they were heading down an abandoned dirt road in the middle of the forest until they reached a robust looking gate in a tall, electrified fence, complete with barbed wire on the top. There were armed guards on the inside, but even so, the driver in front had to verify them with what looked like a thumbprint scanner before the gates would open and allow them inside. They drove inside, at which point the road became far more even and well-maintained. It was dark, but with their night vision, Sam and Stevie could see well. From what Sam could see as they drove past, the compound, as the woman had described it, looked more like a mountain village built on the edge of a lake. All of the buildings looked like modern-style log cabins, and from what Sam could see, there were at least one or two dozen of them.. No one was outside as they passed by, though it was rather late. Eventually, they stopped by one of the cabins, then the woman leading the group came to the back of the van along with two armed guards and opened it up.

"Come, follow me and I will take you to the place you will be staying for the foreseeable future. Since you have showed no signs of turning, I will have you unbound as well." She ordered.

Swims returned Veria's smile and stood up as she entered the house. He was not sure if Veria had told her family about their relationship or not, so he did not do anything to hint at it. After all, none of his family apart from his brother knew about it yet as well. He walked over to her, still maintaining his smile. "Hello, my friend. I don't suppose you have any time to yourself today, do you?" He asked.
