"Of course, as you wish, Najirra." Meesei responded. With his wounds, Meesei did not like the idea of bringing Oswall out into public, but he was stable, so there was not likely much of a risk to him. As long as some of the healers stayed with him, Meesei could be comfortable with him giving his testimony in person. It was not as if it would harm her case in any way, since he was not going to change his answers for the trial itself.

Meesei continued from where she left off, which would be to talk about the meeting itself. "More than one source confirms that Jerrick did drink from his waterskin after the lessons were over. And indeed, one would expect that, after such intense physical activity as a werewolf transformation, one would be prone to looking for a drink of water. As such, the poison could not have been applied before that point, which leaves his next destination after the main hall: the meeting. Once all of the lieutenants had arrived, the meeting started as fairly mundane, since they discussed matters pertaining to the normal operation of the clan. Midway through the meeting is when myself and my pack arrived and were brought to them. After introductions, we explained our purpose in coming here, which was originally to investigate a group of Vile's agents who we knew to be making their way to this area. Then, my pack was taken on a tour of this ruin by Oswall's son, while Jerrick and the rest of the lieutenants remained in the meeting room for a while longer. All lieutenants, even Harriet, agree that Oswall was the first to leave, as he was eager to speak to myself and my pack in the dining hall. Afterwards, Darahil and Jerrick stepped out onto the mezzanine overlooking the dining hall to speak, and both Darahil and Vera agree that Jerrick forgot to bring his waterskin with him and instead left it on the table in the meeting room. This left Vera and Harriet in the room with his waterskin, with the one who left first being the one with an opportunity to poison Jerrick's waterskin. During my questioning, I encountered the first evidence of a directly lie regarding this point, as both Vera and Harriet claimed to have been the first to leave the room. However, Darahil, as well as members of my pack who had been observing the mezzanine at the time, say that Vera left the meeting room before Harriet. This means that Harriet was left alone with the waterskin, and during my questioning, attempted to deceive me of that fact." Meesei explained, pausing a moment as she cast her gaze to each of the lieutenants present. "Can the lieutenants confirm my statements?"
Bad part, while I might lean to saving the humans and do would Raa, getting her to fight for that option is another matter completely.

Does it help that there is no option that keeps civilians away from fighting?
Yes, it would be cqb's decision, so you should probably edit it out of your last post that they split off.
As I had Avatar mention in IC, I would strongly recommend not having anyone split up, mostly because it does kind of defeat the purpose of introducing a choice between helping the humans or not if we can just take both options. Whatever choice we take, everyone needs to take it together, as there is no way to keep the civilians out of a firefight. Enemies are everywhere.
I'm about to head to bed, so I won't be able to respond tonight, but I will in the morning.
I'll await a response from Lucius or Ryo.
"Warning: this course of action is not recommended." Avatar said as Sura was giving her orders. To illustrate its next point, it highlighted in red on the schematics it was projecting the hallways which could connect to their current location from the room in which they had been ambushed. "This location is not secure, and it is improbable that we will find a secure location for civilians to wait. Hostile forces may converge on our location through any of these pathways within a minimum of 5.2 minutes. Additionally, I do not recommend dividing our combat-able forces. Since the local representatives agreed to allow security teams to carry weapons, it is probable that the enemy smuggled board the station a force of sufficient size to overwhelm our security forces, so heavy resistance is likely. If we divide our forces, it will increase the likelihood of complete mission failure by approximately 86%."

Pausing for another moment, Avatar highlighted several other pathways on the projection. Those leading to the airlocks and the human forces were highlighted in green, while those leading to the potential locations of enemy shuttles were highlighted in blue. Additionally, pathways that passed through security stations were highlighted in yellow. "We may join with Human forces and attempt to rescue and board their shuttle, or search one of these two locations for enemy shuttles to capture. However, attempting both options is not recommended. There are security stations in both directions we may attempt to access which could improve the probability of success, but will increase our time on the station."
Ssarak Dyreackthanose

---

Ssarak could feel more than just the words that Lyn was trying to convey. Within her mind, he could also feel her emotions, which were mixed between sadness and fear. She wanted to be held, to be comforted. Honestly, he did not even need his magic to determine that, as he could recognize when a child needed support. Ssarak knelt down onto one knee to bring himself down at least somewhat close to Lyn's level, then gave her the hug she wanted. "Do not worry, Lyn, we will talk to her. We will help her. I am sure that, out of anyone in the world, she would love to talk to you the most. I just have to speak with Lucilia first." He said reassuringly, this time aloud. To the others, who did not possess the context of the conversation, this action would likely seem entirely random. Although, the knowledge that he was a psychomancer would likely provide a strong hint as to what transpired.

As Ssarak stood back up, he looked to Alaira. All of the frustration that had built up as a result of the encounter with Grey seemed to have dissipated through his conversation with Lyn. "Perhaps you should take her to Mar or Althalus; let her be with her family." He recommended. As soon as Alaria and Lyn left, they would be able to commence with the debriefing.
I'll post basically wrapping up the conversation between Ssarak and Lyn so we can continue with the rest of the scene. We did kind of go back and forth a bit, but no one else could have actually physically been in the conversation so...I think it's fine.
"Thank you Sabine, Carana." Meesei commented, indicating that they were finished for the moment. She had established her own credibility, and set up the time frame in which Jerrick could have potentially been poisoned. So far, none of her evidence had been contested, even by Harriet, though she doubted that would hold true forever. Now, she needed to show how she narrowed the opportunity at which Jerrick's waterskin could have been poisoned.

"My next set of evidence will involve testimony from the lieutenants. As I have said, the communication Jerrick received from Hircine said that it would be one of his lieutenants who would betray him, but not specifically who. As such, I did not trust any testimony from them in my investigation which could not be corroborated by at least one of the others, or another reputable source. Presently, Oswall is recovering, but for his health, I do not wish to take him away from the healers unless it is absolutely necessary. As such, both I and Harriet had the opportunity to ask him any questions we intended to ask during the trial, then had him write down his responses. I would like to present his testimony to you now, Najirra, so that you may review it when needed." Meesei explained before pausing to pass the papers containing Oswall's testimony across the tables to Najirra.

Once Najirra had Oswall's testimony, Meesei continued. "Now, we were able to narrow down the window in which Jerrick could have consumed the poison to the times which Sabine and Carana specified, but I also considered the possibility that the poison was applied to the waterskin before the meeting, but only drank it after it started. All of the lieutenants can confirm that, before the meeting, Jerrick was giving lessons with Oswall to some of the newer lycans in the main chamber. Indeed, many witnesses can likely attest to that. This was a potential point at which the waterskin could have been poisoned, since Jerrick was separated from his belongings while in werewolf form. However, if he drank from his waterskin after retrieving it once the lessons were over, then he would have ingested the poison. Since that would fall outside the timeframe established by our tests on the poison, the only way the waterskin could have been poisoned before the meeting would be if Jerrick did not drink from it after the lessons. I asked all of the lieutenants if, when they were in the main chamber, they witnessed Jerrick drinking from his waterskin. Both Oswall and Darahil stated that he did."

Meesei looked to Darahil. "Can you confirm that this is true, and recount what you saw?" She requested. For Oswall's answer, Najirra could read from written testimony Meesei had provided. Likely, he would read the answer aloud for the clan to hear.
