As new as we are to CSing, we can't really help much, but you might find that google doc we linked above useful for traits... Its based on one made by someone that knows far more than us, but with all the traits he marked as non-optimal removed.
played right, lots of flaws are supreme fun...

Following another tip from Omega, we're going to use that 20 point buy thing now that its been explained to us.

new numbers: 16 16 14 10 8 10
Seems that +10 was a mistake. Missed a rule on traits. "Trait bonuses do not stack"
so its only a +8 to initiative.
Flaws are fun to have.

We think having a burned Ifrit would be particularly chuckleworthy. Of course, Lovesick would also be a flaw that could cause chaos herein.
Essentially more wide than heavy/deep, right Jorj?

Depth might be easier (or even better) to find IC than OoC)
ok, the sheet is more or less done now. We think. Omega has proven very helpful for figuring out how to make it tick.

with some tweaking, we made to a couple of google docs out there (formatting on the first one, removing bad traits on the second), we got it working more easily.

EDIT: we're prepared to roll with the die rolls listed in previous post, but if you feel they're too low, we won't mind rerolling. Its kinda interesting to have, as Omega put it, "The Intelligence of a Troglodyte, Wisdom of a Troll and Charisma of a Gorgon"...
A little, yes. Right now its mostly "[name] has OCD".
Ink blood:
Jorj said Ink Blood: Looks good so far. Just be careful going forward that you aren't light in detail. I don't mind brief cs's (we all did them too), but aside from a few quirks, it's kind of difficult to get a good sense of the character. Of course, I purposefully want time to be spent on IC not extraneous details, but as long as everyone else can infer what they need to from your guy, then we'll be good. And, of course, I designed this rp for character building, not so much for the plot, so getting a greater understanding of your character is integral to how everything will function.

There's not much to understand about your character from what you posted earlier. Not much for people like us to hook onto.
Ok, started on the sheet.

Omega asked us to post these rolls here.

Ellri: repeat 6 4I6 => 13 ; 13 ; 15 ; 8 ; 10 ; 7

Going from basic dice maths, those are pretty low. Shall we roll with them or reroll?

oh, and race modifiers, add them to the rolls when put into CS, right?
Standard (+2 Dex, –2 Wis, +2 Cha)
Omega suggested that this RP might be something we should try.

We've got no tabletop experience to speak of (outside the Munchkin & Mwahahaha! card games, neither of which truly count, wethinks), read up a bit here and there on D&D, but we're willing and interested in learning.

we're not sure exactly what sort of character concept to go with yet, but the idea so far is:
Rogue class.
either Fetchling if possible (yes, the Race Point 17 might need some sort of nerfing), or Dhampir or half-elf.
The abilities like "shadow Blending" & "disguise self" as well as the bonus to stealth are the ones that attracted us to that species. We don't fully understand the abilities related to plane shifting (yet) so those are naturally not major for us.

Rough idea beyond that is building it somewhat like a thief, with not much outright loyalty to anything except own profit. At least not initially. Fond of stealth and other sneaky stuff, but not overly skilled at magical stuff (even taking level into account)
We can't work out much more on the concept till we have race down.
