Current Peace is a Lie, there is only Passion. Through Passion, I gain Strength. Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory. Through Victory, My Chains are Broken. The Force Shall Free Me.

we're thinking of pushing events a little, but we'd rather someone else posts first. We don't like the idea of having less than two posts by others between two of ours.
We've used late summer or so IC.

Who are you saying Hai to, WilsonTurner?
more noteworthy is the presence of Mauler cavalry around the lake. They don't cover it all yet, especially not with the swamplands, but they do cover a bit.

Its also not unlikely that a few vocators might be with them.
The vocators aren't flawless, and they aren't everywhere. But still, its better to have Artemis die.
The basic Vocator (imperial Evoker hunter) cannot sense Relics or other Evokers outright through any magical sense. But they are trained to recognize the subtle signs present in most Evokers. And the not-so-subtle signs too. There may be one or two in the imperial army capable of detecting evokers, but he or she (or they) have yet to be unveiled. Mind you, these Vocators primary goal is capture, not to kill. The Empire doesn't hate Evokers the way the Idris do.

While the Kalesians generally believe that evokers should all be controlled, the primary goal at this stage of the invasion isn't to capture Evokers. Sure, they won't mind if they do capture some, but its far easier to catch them after they have full control.
Well, given the shape of the lake, a single crater doesn't make sense to be the source of the entire lake. But it could be feasible that an explosion could be involved. But we see one pretty major issue with the crater idea... The larger a crater, the more force involved. Since there aren't all that many large craters on Earth not involving meteorite strikes, we'll use some rough numbers from that. a 50m meteorite striking down has created a crater 1200m in diameter. Given that the rounder sections of the lake, estimated from the map, are at least ten times that diameter, the energy involved in the explosion would be enough for major climate change, if not a full-blown extinction event.

Mind you, that could be the event that broke the Old Kingdom. Essentially what we're saying here is that an explosion of that magnitude is massive.

Just estimating using a Crater output calculator we found, a crater about 12 km in diameter, based on dense rock striking porous rock at 72 degrees, would have an energy of 3470 megatons. The biggest detonated nuclear bomb (Tsar Bomba) was about 50 megatons. In other words, the forces involved in a crater anywhere close to 20km in diameter are almost unimaginable.

EDIT: Muddy bottom isn't unlikely. As for climate, look to Sparks.
Statues is much harder yes. Especially with our liking of near-perfection. Besides, a thousand years of wear and tear would reduce most statues to rubble. Provided they aren't behemoths and/or imbued preservative magics. If their fortresses did not survive the ages as more than foundations, no way mere decorations would have survived.
Excellent. We've let him know. He'll come by later on, after we finish a collab with him in another RP.

We'll add some ruins later on. It'll take a while to construct.
Ok, we started with drawing some cliffs. We're considering adding some different color texture to the cliffs, but not decided what yet.
The funny, blue-gray box is a scale identifier, 100x100x100m.

Here's one without textures, to give an idea of how the topography looks:

By the way, Sparks... we know a fellow who's looking for another RP. He's more than decent at RPing. Would you open up for one more player here?
Too far inland. And the mountain shapes don't make sense for that. For that to have been sea, nearly half the continent would've been flooded with how the mountains look now. Even with just the bay west-southwest of the city, you're speaking of hundreds of square kilometers to be filled in and re-elevated.
