We'come to the guild. We see you're new to RPing. How good do you deem yourself at writing? And if you've got any particular interests so far as genre and or theme goes, maybe someone here can point you in the right direction?

We've only got a relatively high-level Star Wars RP that we can point to, but the rest here probably have others within pointing range.

We do hope your stay is long, no matter what.

actually, Echo. It was multiple surface cities. They were all bombed, though. Most sank, but not all.

Actually reading people's posts.

If someone posted a text wall in one of our RPs, we would do two things.
First we'd tell them to fix that.
Second we'd copy the post to a doc and break it up every three sentences or so. Then we'd read it.

If their posts regularly lack a basic level of grammar as well, we'd question their presence in our rp. But we'd also consider what they achieved in said post(s). More often than not, lacking grammar + text wall also comes with a side order of either doing very little or godmodding/metagaming or such.

Granted Mary Sue characters may make such, but we don't let those in through our strict CS approval process. We've found that being strict on CS reviews avoids most post issues. Not all, of course.

Recommendations for starting an RP?

Indeed. A disproportionate number of RPs go there. If you're into writing a bit more than a couple of paragraphs on averageblithely a fair bit of planning, we highly recommend utilizing the Advanced section. There your RP won't drown in other threads.
