Heh. Then we can safely point you to the advanced section primarily @Marayla, with a bit of venturing into Casual occasionally. We recommend avoiding the 1x1 section, as that is not only focused on two players only, but also has a lot of RPs with a focus on relationships between two individuals.

Are there other RP genres than Anime you favor? any of the (non-anime) mainstream fandoms that tend to recur in your obsessions?

How do you view things like post-apocalyptic, Fantasy or Sci-fi RPs? or for that matter Slice of life RPs?

To answer your questions:
#1 (OP characters): Not true. Or at least not universally true. Some sections are more prone to misunderstandings than others. In the advanced section, you probably won't find many GMs who do not know how to poke holes in overpowered characters. We certainly deal harshly with OP characters when we get them thrown at us.

#2 (fangirl rants): If it engages people, then such rants will probably be read. There's so many different people here, so there's bound to be others who share such opinions.

#3 (power distribution): The real power hereabouts lies in the hands of the Guild's Dark Overlord, Mahz, and the moderators. They're all nicely behaved, so you normally do not need to worry about them. There are a number of other people with influence, but none who truly need to be feared. The last category don't have any direct power over the guild itself. If you behave in a fair and cool fashion (like the Fonz) you'll be all good and not get in trouble with the staff.

The only thing you really need to make sure is that RPs of a more... erotic... nature need to be run in private messages, due to the way the Guild is funded (adsense).

With how cyclical RPers can be, its not that much of a shocker. We're ourselves running an RP first launched 3-4 years ago on the Old guild.

We'come to the guild, @RPLinx. We think this will answer most of your questions. If you have further, ask anyone.

There are no limits (other than those related to international law) as to genres here on the guild. Though RPs of a more... erotic... nature aren't permitted in public, there's a very nice PM system where such is fully acceptable.

As for expected responses, that depends on each separate GM. He or she chooses his/her own requirements.

Everything's changed, yes. The guild took a nasty hit a couple of years back, the Guildfall. Everything was lost. Posts. user accounts. Layout. Even the cheese.

But the guild is a hard creature to kill. Like a phoenix, it arose anew from the ashes of the old.

Its still a bit of a work in progress, but you'll find it is still welcoming.

Anyways... What sort of RPs do you seek?
Group RPs? 1x1's? Nation RPs? Tabletop? Arena?

Casual? Free? Advanced?

Fandom? High fantasy? Steampunk? Reverse pregnancy?
