We find images to be a decent supplement to text. But we also prefer to avoid photographs. There are more than enough decent 2D images or 3D renders out there that can be used, even if one has to trawl through fifty times that amount of unsuitable images to find them. Still, there is little that beats the satisfaction of having drawn/modeled/created the image you use yourself.

Its never specified what it is made from, nor how exactly it works. Thus, it is fairly free how to make it. Of the non-earth compounds/elements utilized in stargate, it is unlikely that any of them are involved in the dampener. Neutronium is a ridiculously dense element (degenerate mass) and as such of little use here. Trinium is a metal, but not with any specified interesting traits. Naquadria is beyond exceedingly rare and easily detected. Naquadah is the thing one wants to hide, so it can't be involved. Can't remember any other materials mentioned.
