Current Peace is a Lie, there is only Passion. Through Passion, I gain Strength. Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory. Through Victory, My Chains are Broken. The Force Shall Free Me.

This RP is set in the days of the old republic, some 3650 years before the star wars movies. You do not need to read up on very much to begin with. Reading the article linked above about the sacking of Coruscant will give a rough idea.

The key difference from the later eras is this:
The Jedi order actually has guts. They don't hesitate to kill Sith. Their policy of "the only good Sith is a dead Sith" is pretty apparent.
Marriage or other such relations between Jedi, while not strictly forbidden, is frowned upon.
Many republic citizens do not really appreciate the Jedi these days.
The Sith number in the thousands (probably in the tens of thousands).
The current timing is just at the start of the cold war between the Sith empire and the Republic. The Sith just forced the Republic to sign a treaty that put the republic at a serious disadvantage. Holding the republic capital hostage will make dictating terms pretty easy.
Lots of people on both sides aren't pleased with the treaty. The republic side for the terms, the Sith for ending the war.
Reading up on a bit about the situation in those days can help.

You can always read up on the IC thread, but considering just how massive it is, that'll take a while. While most of the posts there are pretty large, they are also mostly collaborative works written by two-three people over considerable time. The requirements for post length will remain the same as for advanced in general. (decent lingual quality, 3-5 paragraphs).

For Jedi characters, they can also be part of an upcoming strike against the prison ship Hâsk. The Darth in charge of this operation announced out to the empire just what she had acquired recently, so even the stupidest SIS Agents (strategic information service, I.E. the republic's spies) would've been able to get hold of that message and relay it back.

For Sith, the invitation (up top in this thread) is relevant. They would come aboard the ship when it arrives in orbit above Teth.
Thats perfectly ok. There are several people in here willing to teach if you're willing to learn.
Excellent to hear. You can jump to the OoC and start working on a CS. You'll find the CS template in the first OoC post.
Fair enough.
Travis2112: did he only answer the Assamites, or the questions from the malks as well? That last question in our post kinda makes it hard for alodia to move on without a clear reply.
Found the missing phrasing. Had to do some research into childish behavior.
Alodia huffed loudly. "How about no? We do not need watching over. We are going to find something to eat." For her these words were unusually lucid, but the combination of her being both grumpy and irritated always brought out the worst in her. She would not follow this weakling. "Too bad father isn't here." She knew he could've taught leech a thing or five. Not as much as grandfather, but no one had seen him in years. "Favor yourself. Seek out Ankou. Fish you, he can." At the end of the sentence, she sent a bit of extra mental strength into it, and the cobweb shuddered in return. Not even a weakling like he could resist the full force of the cobweb. Everything would beaver.

Having said hers, Alodia started to get up. She could still feel the reverberations through the cobweb. Thoughts pushed at her head. Some curious, others fearful. Father had told her of Ankou. All eventually knew of Ankou. It the terror of the nights. The patron saints of serial killers. A thoroughly interesting fellow. Deadly, but interesting. When she got to the door, she turned about and looked straight into the eyes of the brujah. "Coming? Or will you sheep this fishsucker?"
Still looking for more players.

Don't worry. We won't bite you for joining. You don't have to be a master of star wars lore to join, so long as you're willing to read up or ask questions when uncertain.
True enough. Alodia will still want to disabuse him of that notion.

She knows she occasionally messes phrases up, but she doesn't see any correlation between that and being a malkavian. But then, she has a hard time distinguishing, well time. Most events are past, but some events aren't. And with her strong cobweb connection, the events that aren't past (or present) can be quite a few. Of course, some are outright lies too, but you probably get the idea.

We've got an idea for her reaction to the "watching over you" offer, but we're missing the wording and the rest of the post reply. She most certainly sees no reason for anyone to need to watch over her. She's (in her mind at least) in perfect control over herself.
Threw in a short post just now. Seems Ylva and Vanja share a liking for cruel, but innocent pranks. Pretty sure that there's no smallpox on the ship. They could probably create it with the core, but its probably best not to do so. Not sure how well easy it is to create living things with it. (Gen. Landry created plants, but...)
