Also are the Cervian people based off Dæmon from His Dark Materials? It seems like it is.

Exactly right. :D
This is a remake of a RP I did months ago. Wondering if there is any interest!? :D

Montaville is a small town, located in Vermont, its surrounded by forests, and green pastures. Montaville could be considered one of those charming new England town you see in travel magazines, but a fresh coat of paint, and some sprucing up would be necessary. Off the beaten path and not connected to any major highways or roads, its not a place many people know of, or come across often.

Quint, quite, and traditional would be three words to describe it. 45 minutes to the nearest Walmart and McDonald, Montaville has no chain stores or fast-food places, just mom and pop stores, and the local diner. And like all small towns Montaville has its secrets, some even the local humans have no idea about...

Hidden from the rest of the world, and the town itself is another town, invisible to the humans and non-magics. A town with-in a town if you please. On the surface there is Montaville: An average little new England town, population of about 3,936 people.

Underneath the surface hidden from the human eye is 'Tellmore' a hidden world of fairytales, and nightmares. Vampires, Werewolves, Fae, Witches, and magic. Montaville is a place were the supernatural type flock. Tellmore is home of the prestigious Gringore Academy, and everything is build upon a magic rift, so its shrouded in an abundance of magic.

Gringore Academy - Has only been around for about 60 years now. Its a place for all races with abilities to learn how to manage them, to be safe, and to also educate themselves. They can take regular classes as well, but the main focus is on their abilities and how to be live in human society. Its more like a college, and their are dorms if you want to live in them. Gringore Academy is the first school for only supernaturals.

PLOT -- Centers around the supernaturals, and humans in the town of Montaville/Tellmore, and the Gringore Academy for supernaturals.
As for a Faction I was thinking of something like a cult-ish kind of group, that have been around since the beginning of the end. Starting out before the worlds destruction that turned everything to ruin there was a corporation made up of scientists, researchers, doctors, and businessmen who prepped for what they assumed would be the end of the world.

The corporation started 'Project Infinite'. The project was away to help the human race flourish if ever there was a apocalypse kind of scenario. The gave people the option of donating their sperm/eggs for rations/money/idk, and also the privilege of being interviewed for one of the limited spots in cryogenic freeze. This was all done as a way to preserve the human race, and prevent inbreeding among the predicted low percent of human survivors if ever a plague/nuclear/natural/war/alien disaster decimated the population of earth. A huge amount of men and women over 18 donated. And the sperm/eggs/embryos were sent to the station/vaults/safehouses/bunkers. The 1000 or so spots available for people to volunteerly go into cryogenic freeze also filled up quickly as the end of the world became more apparent.

They also had 'Project Verity'. They wanted a way to keep and record history, and knowledge, without the use of the internet, or electronics that could be destroyed or never work again. And they didn't want to use paper/ink/books, as in the end of the world scenario paper would be a commodity and something to burn for warmth. Sadly this project didn't get any farther then the collection and storage of written/printed information. They created a library of knowledge, that they had stored in their station/vault/safehouses/bunker.

Anyway the end came, and the corporation was lost, only a handful of the original scientist/doctors/blah that made up the corp survived. The corruption/greed/madness took over from the fallout, and all seemed forgotten. A decade later the last two living people who where apart of the corporation were Alexandra Galloway & Ralph Kross. They started what is now known as a faction called Asclepius. Every few years they would let one or two people out of CyroFreeze. Asclepius became more of a cult, with Alexandra and Ralph the leaders. They kept the knowledge for themselves, and only shared what they need to get people to believe and follow them. Decades pasted, and more people joined Asclepius. Ralph died of old age, and Alexandra took over grooming her own son, Jonah to take over after she died. With Ralph dead, Alexandra opened the door to the hidden knowledge, albeit she kept a tight reign on what info. She trained her people in the lost knowledge of medicine, science, agriculture, humanitarianism, and other languages. Things such as history, culture, wars, philosophy, and religion she kept guarded and hidden away, as she wanted to create her own utopia, she created her own religion, rules, laws, code of ethics, and morals.

Its been centuries? since then, and Asclepius has become one of the biggest and well known of the factions, taking up an entire town/city as their territory. They are devote, and practically all adults are trained as ether a doctors, surgeons, scientist, adept farmer, teachers, or priest(Keeper).

blah blah.... I have more and can go on, but what do you think? Would this work for a faction?

I've never seen the show. Would I have to watch it to understand and be able to play? I've seen gossip girl, is it a similar kind of plot?
For me to sit down and write out a decent post, it takes about 2-5 hours. I have two characters, and like I said before I will not be able to until my evil grandmother leaves. If I spend more then 30 minuets on my computer, shit hits the fan at my house. She says she is leaving on the 30th. But she is a notorious liar, soooo idk when I'll have a post up.
I've never read the book but this RP idea sounds interesting. I'd like to play ether a domestic or the oldest of the wives/brides?
Are Mermaids/Sirens available as a 'monster'? or possibly a vampire?
Grandmother from hell made a surprise visit (kill me now). You guys are going to have to go on without me. Hopefully she'll leave soon, and I can come back to this.
I have no Idea about the military thing, but I do think that the GM is still accepting, as the IC is not even up yet.
<Snipped quote by Emma>

Hm? What just happened to make you do that?

Yeah. My character Rupert has a whole lot to do with some of the other countries, and what I wrote for his bio, doesn't fit with the new info on the countries. I had assumed some things and came up with my own ideas about the countries, and when my characters were accepted I took that as a approval for my ideas from the GM cause they didn't say to change anything. My other character Catalina also has some mention of Manora, and religion, and Catalina's mother backstory I based of Manora being different secluded jungle kind of country. Anyway I'm not changing anything until tomorrow encase the GM adds more or takes other thing into consideration.

@Kaalee you could just keep it all the same and change Manora to one of the other countries.
