I've been on here since before the fall, way back when I was a middle schooler. It seems a lot more slow paced on here then it once was. I'm also old now soooo maybe that is it.

Silvali Island

Most modern people know the urban legend about the Bermuda Triangle. It came about from people claiming an unusual number of aircraft and ships disappeared there under mysterious circumstances. Well the truth is that located in the Bermuda triangle, on nights of the full moon, a portal appears. Though rare, it has a tendency to claim ships and planes that enter its area. Where this portal leads it to a different realm, where two moons circle the sky, and the Island of the Silvali People thrive.

Silvali Island is a gorgeous tropical oasis in the middle of crystal blue waters. The ancient natives of Silvali are a bit different looking then your average human. Skin tones range from albino white to dark honey brown, and at least 30% of the population have the beautiful patches of vitiligo. Hair colors tend to come in hues of silver, white, and blondes, but since the first coming of "Silvali's Gift", the black, brunette, and reds of humans has integrated into the native's appearance. The typical eye colors of the native people come in practically every color of the rainbow, and a good amount have some variation of heterochromia, or a unique iridescent sheen. Besides the unique coloring, the most prominent difference would be their bioluminescent markings that appear on their skin once they go through puberty. (Inspiration Board)

Once every few decades or so, people like those on the ship arrive to the Island. The native's consider them "Silvali's Gift". Silvali is the name of one of their ancient deities, and is consider to be like a mother goddess of sorts. When outsiders arrive they bring with them new inventions, products, ideas, and stories from the human realm, and time period they come from.

In the spring of 1287, the newly built and ironically named Sant’Antonio Buss ship, leaves the Strait of Gibraltar heading north toward England. Little did the Venetian captain Borso know, that he and the majority of his sailors, and passengers would never make it to England.

By the time the ship neared Morocco, a sudden violent, and catastrophic storm hit them, damaging their rigging, breaking their oars, and pushing them helplessly into the Atlantic current, all the way into the open ocean. 155 days later, after a horrific struggle of survival abord the ship, the few still left alive find themselves in calm crystal waters, under a night sky with two full moons, stars twinkling out of alignment, the ancient constellations missing. Have they reach the edge of the world?

A young Flemish merchant sits beside a dying Italian catholic friar as he wheezingly whispers his final prayers in latin. The merchant who speaks zero latin, strangely now understands every word. His eyes widen with confusion. And as the friar takes his last breath, another passenger yells with joy as they finally spot land...

This RP would take place on the Island. You could play as one of the natives, or as one of the passengers/crew from the ship that arrived.
I've been RPing for 23 years. Not necessarily my most memorable or favorite character, but my first ever character and first ever time RPing was on the lg15 forum, in the HOOBS roleplay as Tarin an emo fourteen year old. I was basically playing myself at the time way back in 2007. I can honestly say if I had never discovered roleplaying, I would have never advanced my very very poor writing abilities at the time. I didn't use punctuation, and I spelled everything phonetically. It was BAD! The other players helped guide me, thank goodness. If I remember correctly someone on that forum told me about this website, and here I have been.

So I have been working on creating my own medieval fantasy world setting for over 10 years. I have two short stories that take place in the world, but otherwise I have souly been working on the world bible of it all. I was wondering if I made Casual or Advance RP that take place in the created world if anyone would be inclined to participate in writing/playing it. The idea being that if the played out story/lore makes something interesting/historical/myth worthy that it would be added as canon to this actual world.

Ask all the questions if you have any.

It would work similarly to how some of the ASOFAI or Harry Potter RPs go. In that I give you a world and all its information, for you to use to create a character, and then as the RPG plays out things would become Canon in the history of this world. For instance if the RP created started in a ball at the palace, what would play out could become the canon of that historic period within the world I made....

Like if JK Rowling created a RPG taking place in like 2001 in the American wizarding school (Iilvermorny?) and all that happens within the game would be canon in the next book/movie....?
Hello pixies,

Is this still open to accepting new characters/players? And if yes, would you recommend I read all the IC posts, or could I play a new fairy (like new as in a babies first laugh and boom new pixie) ?
Crime
I really want to RP a character in a Historical/Nobility/Medieval/Renaissance/Fantasy setting with a group. Maybe something related to the ASOIAF. I'm personally not into table top style, or the DnD world. There was this RP from a decade ago on this sight that I loved the plot/idea of. Wish it could be brought back, but I'm not looking to GM.
