Personality:

True to his clan, he is generally very peacable unless provoked. But circumstances involving the harm of anyone he is moderately concerned with will put him on edge without fail. Unlike some who consider themselves avengers of the fallen, Daisuke considers himself a defender of the helpless. Lacking the political finesse of his clan's head, he allows his appreciation of his friends to generally go unspoken, unless it is of particular interest. Yet he is not at all afraid to speak his mind, especially when faced with adversity. He aims to be uncompromising in his dedication to the defense of others and views greedy or selfish people as decadents.

History

Daisuke was born into one of the branch families of the Hanamoto clan, his mother's had been unknown because she had been orphaned early in life before her impressive skills at pickpocketing and escapism won the heart of the man that she'd ripped off, and who would father her child. This incident set the tone for Daisuke's upbringing. As a child, even when he was outshined by others, he never grew jealous or held grudges against those who'd wronged him. When he was young, his mother wanted to ensure that he would be able to stand up to anyone who may bully him, so his father complied by putting him through a tribulation early in life. His three older brothers were used to harden him, the eldest would often sneak him along on his own missions as a Genin, while his sensei chose to turn a blind eye to him. He witnessed and picked up on many strategies and techniques early in life through this.

In his teenage years, he began to train himself for physical combat, seeing it as something of a weakness for many outside his own clan. His focus had been on achieving the perfect takedown before he was overpowered in a training exercise by his own friends. From then on, he adopted the boomerang as a tool to keep some at distance. But his father brought it to his attention that he would need to learn to hold his ground against multiple strong opponents.

After years of intense training, he finally turned sixteen. It was time for the ceremony where it would be decided if he were to be recognized as a Hanamoto yet or not. Several of the men he was pitted against were his own older brothers. Expecting to be defeated by them, he was surprised to see that his training truly had payed off. In one of the most drawn out ceremonies in the clan's history, he managed to hold his own, defeating his older brothers and several relatives he expected to fall against. In the end, the teamwork of a pair of Jonin defeated him, when he was thoroughly exhausted, already having beaten the majority of his opponents, all but the two Jonin actually. But his long lasting stand against the opposition earned him the privilege of joining his cousin, Kanijiro, in preparation to become one of the Granite Guard.

Dreams and aspirations:

Daisuke would like to one day be the bodyguard of an important official, mainly the Tsuchikage. If that were to fall through, he would prefer to have an opportunity to defend his clan's leader, currently Kanijiro. If he were not to become a bodyguard, he would ideally be on the forces of ANBU. Though making it into the Granite Guard is a considerable achievement, it simply isn't his number one dream.

General strengths:

In battle, he does well outwardly assaulting opponents through direct combat using martial artistry and weaponry, but he is much more skilled at keeping an enemy away from a specific area or crowd control, making him ideal as a protector. He can quickly rotate between multiple opponents, all the while anticipating blows not omly for himself, but also for those around him.

General weaknesses:

He is easily confused and manipulated through Genjutsu or general illusions. When in the heat of battle he is willing to be very forceful, resulting in below average stamina and frequent lethargy. He also has poor chakra control, thus he prefers to rely on his own body.

Description: Much like Scorching Hands Jutsu, the result is that the hand is surrounded in flames that cause increased damage to the opponent. It is performed by first, completing the handseals. Second, igniting the hand, which takes about a second's time. Third, swiping your arm in an outward motion before the flames disappear.
Weakness: Using this actually sets the user's hand on fire, burning it as well as the enemy. It is extremely short lived, lasting no longer than two seconds. And it requires close proximity. Pur simply, it should only be used as a last resort.

Description: Standing on his heel, the user spins rapidly, extending his arms to balance. In this position he can repetitively strike the same location before they have an opportunity to react to the previous strike, mow down multiple enemies, pull the enemy into the twist before throwing them, or even use it to chip away at a weapon or defense. In order to suck things or people into the vortex, he must make the appropriate handseals before a column of air currents will pull anything nearby into his vicinity.
Weakness: Though requiring only a small amount of chakra to sustain the spin, it is tiring in the sense of the physical exertion it requires. It is also dizzying and makes it easy for him to be tripped when the attack has already begun, plus it cannot be stopped in an instant. If the air currents are called upon, his chakra will be drained in a matter of seconds.

Description: On his right hip there is a holster containing four boomerangs, each slightly different. One's plain (for practice purposes), another is bladed, the third is denser than the others, and the fourth is treated to be lit on fire without being consumed by the flames. Additionally, the holster holds standard ninja tools as well as a rope javelin (kunai, shurikens, etc.).

Feeling himself choke a little bit on his own words, Minoru cleared his throat and scooted over a little when he was joined by Yeo. The chills he'd been feeling subsided as he felt the emotional warmth of companionship. Despite the fact that he hadn't known Yeo too long at all, nor any of the others for that matter, he felt a special connection to Yeo. Despite their vast differences in background and ability, Min considered Yeo his equal. The two shared very little common ground on paper, but in practice they evidently meshed quite well. It was that common ground that Min dependably chose to look for.

"Hmm.." Minoru grumbled, taking one hand away from his arrowhead to scratch the back of his neck. "I honestly have no idea who I'll end up with. Who knows? I might get lucky and get Kyou. As long as it isn't Mitsuru, I'll be fine. The last thing I need is to be ignored while we're fighting an enemy ninja or retrieving a stolen valuable." Honestly, the first time he saw her, Minoru thought thay Mitsuru was adorable, but it took all of five seconds for him to get over that. "I dunno, though. Who do you think you'll end up with?"

Still with a hushed tone, respectful of the ceremony in progress, Minoru said, "Speak of the devil. It's Kyou. She's got flowers." He raised his hand with the arrowhead and pointed it's tip in her direction, "See? Right over there." Min smiled intensely, flashing a grin and looking to the sky as if daring it to rain on his parade. But then he remembered where he was, hiding away his smile and stuffing the arrowhead into one of his pockets.
