Current I'm tempted to say "I've lost better friends than you" to a lote of people lately. I'm not sure what I ever want to say to the better friends that I've lost, though.

Bio

Twelve years ago, I said something on this website that continues to embarrassing me to this day. I was a stupid kid, like most, but I've never quite gotten the taste out of my mouth. Anyone who knew me at the time can tell you about it.

I love this website. I'm pretty sure my phylactery is stored wherever the webserver is and a significant chunk of me will just disappear when it ceases operation. Until then, it comforts me. I should go to the hardware store and paint my bedroom walls with the same soft, brownish grey that the background color has been for the last twelve years. Some of my friends can't wait for the site to go offline but I don't know of any other places that offer the same sense of community.

I'm an omni-gamer. I like board games, tabletop roleplaying games, admire tabletop war games, suck at riddles, and have an absurd library of video games. Survival horror is basically my favorite genre. Otherwise I'm a fan of esoteric, occult bullshit and punk rock. But disco's cool. Disco is what humanity sounds like when it chooses to be happy. Between you and I, I'd like to hope that the days of my life can sparkle like a disco ball, accreting like sparks from a grinder held up against the unwavering dark of deaths own shadow. Burn baby burn.

You and I, we're gonna die. We should be friends first, though. Write some checks we can't cash and make eachother smile. Make believe for a while.

I doubt it's dead. May be though. Either way, I'm out. Ciao.
Hey guys, dropping out. Nothing about you all I've just had an epiphany about the course of my life. Ciao.
Ha. Let's trade places, Face. Hey guys, dropping out. Feel free to enslave Eric or something, he might be neat as a villain, or maybe just an example made. Hope I contributed at least minimally to the plot. No hard feelings, Wraith. I mean it. This isn't personal, it's just personal (internal). Ciao guys and I'll see some of you around in the future. Others, probably not.
Tease!

Then the search continues. Next please!
An interest check for a game combining various influences such as Star Wars, Mega Man ZX (biometals if you know what they are), a touch of Dune, and set with a lens focused on oceanography and an altered surface world. Not really looking at pairings persay, but I would like our characters and stories to affect one another and directly interact every once in a while, but they don't have to be together 24-7.

You game?

In the year 5,000 humanity has survived a nuclear holocaust and escaped to the oceans where they have managed to thrive thanks to a symbiotic coral named Hyrdosteel. Since their transition to the seas life has changed. Now it is a fairly common practice to befriend sea creatures or tame wild and powerful ones for show. Technology has actually advanced greatly as has the species net understanding of the world around them.

Hyrdosteel

  • Is a species of coral that can grow on a human from before birth if the mother has her own specimen
  • Is symbiotic, benefitting humans (and other creatures) in many ways while feeding off of their eatings
  • Also houses a colony of bacteria that perform various essential tasks
  • Creates a thin layer around human skin, with a thin, opaque, semipermeable membrane in front of their face, protecting them from the pressures of the deep while also able to adjust to the shape of any headgear and cover it as well

Weaponry

  • Boiler-blades are swords capable of reaching extremely high temperatures, boiling the water around the blade
  • Aero-pistols function in a similar manner to the pistol shrimps claw, firing a super-pressurized bubble of air that bursts upon contact and delivers significant concussive damage
  • Electro-projectors are wrist mounted gauntlets that fire invisible fields of electricity like some rays

Societies

  • The Republic of New Atlantis is the capitol of the Atlantean empire, a very western style confederation
  • No living humanoids have been discovered in the depths
  • Various tribal groups live in relative harmony with the world around them
  • Few explorers have dared venture out to dry land, all claiming to find terrifying beasts
  • It has become increasingly apparent that there are a great number of intelligent beasts in the sea
I'm unsubscribing now. Please tag me if this thread has a renaissance.
"It would be.. unwise to enter without my insight," Annex added. "I will be coming with you. They'll never see me, I guarantee it."

Stepping in front of Query, he took note of his build, speech patterns, and physical nuances. More of interest was his face, though. Pseudoderm, the mask told him. He was very much like The Question indeed. Nodding, he handed a small, zipped, black pouch to Kid Q. "It'll help with your reach.

While it would make sense to make gift bags for the other East-Coast Titans, very few had the conscious understanding to really make the most of a limited resource. Likely they'd lose some along the way, wasting the expensive material or risk it being obtained by the enemy. Inside the pouch was a small handgun shaped object capable of launching a 25 foot long web-line, or several shorter ones and cutting the thread when the lever on the back of the gun was clicked. A soft press of the trigger would project web, higher pressure would change the tool to reel it in.

"Depending on how you use it," he whispered, "there may be more." He slid his sleeve down a bit to allow the other teen a peek at the wrist-mounted shooters he had. "We humans have got to stick together."

Then he calmly walked over to his own spot on the jet. Not one assigned, but one ingrained in the memory of his team through sheer repitition. He looked around. Seeing Bit-Girl he imagined that she would eventually notice the massive resemblance between his own appearance and that of Corvo from Dishonored. Beside minor deviancies in the shape of his mask and the more modern outfit that Jefferson chose to wear, it was almost spot on. The mask itself, while the teenaged analyst had been choosing his outfit, broke standard speech patterns by using an adjective - actually expressing a taste for the outfit.
I won't give full spoilers here, but its head is not an alien persay, but a supervillain. Actually, come to think of it, saying its modeled after the GLC is completely inaccurate as very few of the members are conscious of the others like them and there is no sector organization. He is not assigned the number 2814 because its the ring's territory, but because that is where Nigel is. The other thing is that it is a trick and is only meant to look like its 'another Lantern Corps.' The only person who really identifies it as a Corps is the head. Unlike any of the others, this is specifically focused on Earth by design in a unique way.

Shall I fully divulge its secrets via PMs, Wraith?

EDIT: I touched up my main note to be tad bit clearer.

E2: App is cancelled... for now. I'm sure I'll revisit the concept somewhere. Sometime, but perhaps not here or just not today. I'd stick it to the man, but he runs my favorite form of recreation!
