'Mmm...' Ari stirs mildly uncomfortably as Violet rested her head on him. He still felt a little.. uneasy about physical contact. He exhaled and continued to think.

'I really should be resting and recooperating... maybe even recording if I had all of the proper equipment and stuff. Um... no really, what is there to do here?... fuck, it's like the city, how the hell can't I think of anything to do here, fuck my life...'
'Um...'

'That's what you meant..?' Ari blushed lightly and looked away. 'Uh, maybe... I-- but we just met, and I-- I don't know what to feel or even--even how I feel and...'

Ari's voice trailed off and he sighed. A lot of feelings going on right now. He feels twelve again.
Ari thought for a while.

Ari then begins to ramble for a minute. 'Uh, maybe? Wherever we go we're probably going to get fucking swarmed by the paparazzi and fans and the like. Also, I have no idea what's in New York at all, uh... what is there to do that's not, like, cliche or whatever? Actually wait that's a lie, I went to New York with my dad in... 1971 to see a Louis Armstrong performance, so I was like, four. I barely remember any of it... um, maybe we went here at some point, um...'

'..Oh, sorry. Anyways. You tell me!...' Ari nervously chuckled.
'Right...'

Ari shut the door and sat next to her. 'Well I'm clumsy as hell, uh. I think I've broken like... fucking -- ten thousand dollars worth of equipment and shit just from fucking... dropping, or tripping, or slipping... they had to send out a whole notice to not let me carry things by myself because I kept breaking things. I accidently dropped like two whole guitars -- I don't even play guitars much and my dumbass still dropped them -- and a couple of keyboards, a tenor saxophone... fuck, I think that's the ADHD part of me.'

Ari sighed. 'But I guess I get even more clumbsy when I'm drunk, but still. "Who isn't", I guess.'
Violet could hear Ari yell from the inside of the room. As she stood she heard several crashing noises coming from the room, followed by silence, followed by more crashing, following by a string of several slurs in English and Spanish, before the door is opened, revealing Ari in the doorway.

The bathroom is to the right and the shower curtain has fallen. The cause of the noise, possibly.

'Hi! -- Um... if you were wondering about the noise I just slipped and fell in the bathroom, um... that seems to happen a lot...' Ari scratched his hair, internally cringing at the several times that he had fell on stage before.
rip. thanks !
It took Violet a half hour to walk from her shack to Ari's hotel. The day was cool, there was a breeze, and it was overcast. It could easily be mid-October, if it weren't the middle of July.

She probably got recognized and perhaps catcalled by several men. Some people would probably complement her playing at last night's concert. Typical, likely.

About a block away, she can already tell that she's at the hotel because there's easily hundreds of people gathering around the hotel talking about Ari and the concert that happened last night and various other things. There was a baracade and some police surrounding it to make sure there weren't any trespassers into the hotel or anything. Ari's hotel looked like a typical 1920s-styled apartment building, blending in with the surrounding architecture. If Violet looked up, she could see a figure, ostensibly Ari, leaning on a balcony.
'Uh...'

Ari dropped the phone and jogged to the balcony, looking around the surrounding street. Trying to see if there was a sign or something -- only then did he realize that he remembered the name of the hotel, so there was actually no need for that. Ari sighs and walks back to the phone, picking it back up and exhaling --

'St. Regis, um, New York... I think it's on 55th Street, a-and.. Fourth or Fifth Avenue, I think...'
Ethnicity: American/Half-Dead is crazy
'Your... your shack? You live in a shack? That's...'
'Do you wanna come to my hotel?... if it's a literal shack then it might be better than that...' Ari says, genuinly feeling a little bad that he's staying in a fairly nice hotel and she's staying in her "shack". Maybe that was a rude comment. Hopefully not. Hopefully she doesn't hear what he didn't say.
