“Kyoko” his voice was soft now as felt her grip the back of his shirt, all Gods were linked to their Shinkis thoughts and feelings and he could feel the uncertainty in her. “As long as you're my Shinki I will never let anything happen to you, and don’t ever worry why I choose you. You’re the sweetest gal a guy could ever ask for. You bring out the best in me kid.” He ruffled the hair on the top of her head and opened the door of the ice cream parlor. "You're my best friend, and you'll be my right hand lady when we make it big... besides who would laugh at all my wonderful jokes?" He grinned and shoved her through the door gently.

Yuichi took in the sight of the city as he and Kyoko moved through the crowded street unnoticed, although he’s remained here for many years, the atmosphere and the city life never cease to amaze him, he loved the people and everything about this place, and he couldn’t bare the thought of traveling to a new country or city and starting over again.
“Kyoko!”his eyes widen as her cries hit his ears, instantly he turned to face her with his hands placed at her shoulders, ready for anything that might happen. “What’s wron-“ he stopped mid sentence having realized it was only a cat. A sigh escaped his lips and he wrapped one arm around her shoulders, gesturing she walked beside him instead “Oh Kyoko, you really don’t have to be afraid of EVERYTHING." he shook the thought of from his head and smiled to himself, Kyoko was very dear to Yuichi and more than just his Shinki, she was like family to him and he’d never let anything happen to her. “How about some ice-cream before we go Phantom hunting?”
