A devotion is usually a short reflective reading about an aspect of our belief. Usually they come in 365-day books. Thank you. :)

Sounds like a horoscope.

I wasn't really planning on it. I recognize the point that you're supposed to stop bothering someone.

Good. Thank you.

I won't say another word. Yesterday after I'd left, my mum was reading her devotion for the day to me: "Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble." I have a bad habit of not keeping quiet about thinks I dislike, and I'm terribly sorry.

I can possibly stand the other things about Spanish, but disgusting is a no. Also, what's "devotion for the day"? And .....I forgive you.

Keep something in mind though. The heart knows no language. Their words have meaning to you, but it's the speaker and their intentions that really matter, not the specific lexicon used.

Wow Dark...that's...wow...
Morning everyone....I just wanted to say sorry for getting pissed off. But I still won't stand for Spanish being called disgusting. I don't like it. I don't care if that's an opinion, calling a language disgusting is pretty much calling the culture disgusting also. And if you, David, or Dark have some smart ass comment about what I just said about Spanish and it's culture, then keep it to yourself. I don't want to hear it.

Okay, okay, let's all cool down. To be fair, English is considered the hardest language in the world, because it has more exceptions to rules than anything else.

I'm freaking in tears right now...see ya tomorrow....

Extra's signature is very good advice. I don't want to heat up any heads or cause any fighting, so, I'm scrambling out.*poof*

I...I'm sorry Sven....but we're going to have to continue your thing tomorrow....I need to let off some steam...

Refer to my first sentence in the post you quoted.

Well, you know what? Spanish isn't just a language to me! It's me being able to listen to my grandma's last words, my great grandfather's wise advice of how I should be better than he was and not to make the same mistakes as he did, and to be able to hear the cool stories about my families past, and to know who my Uncle John was before he died!!!!

Don't take offense. I dislike the language, but mainly because I've always been upset about not being able to take other languages, and also because I absolutely suck at it. Language is the biggest thing that I cannot do.

I get that it's heavy, but disgusting? That's a huge no.
whizzball1 said
It's rough, unkempt, choppy.I'm sorry then. That doesn't change my opinion on the language, though.

I...disgusting!? How the fuck is it disgusting?!?!
whizzball1 said
Because I don't want to have any association with it. Knowing what the words mean... *shudders* Eugh.*hug*It's absolutely disgusting.

I take that as offensive.

Bro, about half way through this year, I totally quit my Spanish class. I don't get it, I'm not going to get it, and I'm done. I want to learn Latin.

I want to learn Latin too. But I need to learn Spanish to be able to talk to parts of my family. I can under stand it, but not speak it.
