My advice for you is make a character and have them interact with the others. Eventually you'll establish a title per say for your character with the group. Sulley for example I feel is still the mysterious one but a bit more information has been brought into the light thanks to his brother showing up. I may need your help with Samantha but for now make your own character and we can go from there

I'm under the impression that the school is on break so you can have your character already settled in or just getting there. If you need someone to talk to either of my characters are available unless Silent Observer decides to talk to Sulley. This time as I said I think it's right now just free game.
