Current Been a while, but I'm back. Just moved and no social life in the new place yet so I'll probably be around a lot.

My cat has been found guilty of laptopicide, using my very own jar of ice water as a murder weapon. I'll be back as soon as I can. At most, I'm looking at about a month with no personal computer.

“What you know about Lord Fowle?”

"Not a damn thing," Luca replies smoothly to the abruptly asked question, not even looking up as he pours his third glass of wine for the evening. Deciding that the mild buzzing in his brain was enough for now, he replaced the cork and settled the bottle among its many companions. Instead of just downing this glass like he had the previous two he sipped at it and made a small pleased sound.

"Anyway, isn't it polite to introduce yourself before asking questions of a body? Name's Luca, if you care to know." Taking another sip of wine, he turns to the man asking such questions, not surprised to find that it was a foreigner who had such a heavy accent. The same twisted smirk that had lit Luca's face when he first saw the wine was still fully in evidence. It only widened as he looked past the Asian man to note a raven-haired woman apparently approaching them.

"And hello to you as well, lovely lady. Might I interest you in a glass of wine?" Luca's greeting was accompanied by an attempt to gently take her hand and kiss the back of it. He was only really there to have a good time, after all, what event could truly be called fun without a beautiful woman?
Thomas waved politely to each of the newcomers in turn. He wasn't really suited to showing people around anyway, and the housekeeper had asked him to stay nearby. Wondering who this new arrival that would need his help would be, he found himself a clear patch of wall to lean on. Closing his eyes, he expanded his focus and immersed himself in the emotional currents of the house. It was something he did often, as it allowed him to be aware of it if anyone was hurt or sad or angry, and thus pass the information along to the caretaker. There was always a pervading sense of sadness in the house, an undercurrent of depression that colored every little feeling that touched him. Adrift in a sea of other people's emotions, Thomas bided his time until the much-awaited newcomer would show up.
Sorry for dropping the ball guys, had to work last night.

Wall of text, incoming. Apologies but not really.

Some people like walls of text. Gives them something to read while they wait for stuff to happen in other threads.
Gotta work tonight, but I'm here for a couple hours.

Piper was used to her brother's tendency to hold his own thoughts at a higher priority than human interactions, and so their mutual silence of several minutes was not uncomfortable. It last until the realized where Morgan's eyes, unfocused and distant as they were, rested. She smirks and reaches over to jab his ribs with one finger.

"Stare a little harder, she's bound to notice eventually."

"Wha?" came his ever so eloquent reply as his eyes focused again. Just as Kiara turned towards the two of them.

“Morgie!!” Kiara chirped as she approached Morgan and his sister, causing her grin to turn all the more wicked and his cheeks to redden slightly as he glances away. Morgan crosses his arms in front of him, using one hand to pull his scarf up a little in an attempt to hide the color.

"Hey, Kiara. This is my sister, Piper, and-" "And he'd love to dance with you," Piper interjects, lightly shoving her brother toward Kiara. He stumbles, barely catching himself in time to not run up against the other first year. "Go on, we can catch up later. You haven't been gone that long anyway. Have fun!" she says, turning to walk towards the rest of the crowd with a wave, perhaps to find her own partner. Morgan watches her leave, realizing he'd have to figure out how to get back at her later.

"Um... Well then..." he says lamely, suddenly unable to muster his thoughts in light of the swift turn of events. "Let's... dance? I guess?"
Cronus' questions initially caused Morgan to look at him with an eyebrow raised, questioning his character. Moments later, however, he decided that he had no call to judge this unfamiliar man who had come from a world unknown. In the mean time, he studies the water while one of the other men among them, Bishop, begins to fret and consider another path. It was then that the swirling shadows first caught Morgan's attention, and he stepped closer to the water.

Barely noticing what appeared to be an invisible bridge, he watched the creatures jumping from the water with mild fascination. That fascination turned to anxiety when the strange things gained the air, displaying a versatility the knight had never seen. The curiosity of the creature that approached him was reflected on Morgan's own face. Until the damn thing spat in his face. Angered like he hadn't been in a long time, he takes steel to hand and in one swift motion, cuts at the retreating creature. It proves to fast, however, and Morgan staggers as another spray of water hits him from one side.

It had been nearly ten years since any of the furniture had been move, and for good reason. The fingertips of his right hand trailing along the wall, Thomas made his way towards the dining room with careful steps. He didn't even really need to count any more, except on the stairs, but old habits were hard to break. Upon reaching the ground floor landing, he hears a knock at the door, accompanied by a sense of anxiety from beyond it. Nobody else inside seemed to be awake, so Thomas made his careful way to the door, hands running along furniture and walls when he is near them. Finally, he opens the door with a smile on his face.

"Welcome! Please, do come in," Thomas greets the two people he cannot see.
Morning all!
