Current Is it just me, or does MHGen feel so so much easier than 4U?

So, how long has everyone on here been writing and/or roleplaying for? Don't feel bad if it has not been that long. No one's judging. I'm just curious and love hearing about that.

Well, as embarassing as it is to admit, since I was 12-or-so back when chatroom RPs were a thing. (Not sure if they are anymore, but I digress.)

So...14 years? I didn't start writing like I do now however, until about...4-5ish years ago on OneManga Forums and ummm....LFGComic forums. Inbetween intermittent bits with D&D groups and such, I kinda avoid those now though...because I miiiight've gotten creeped after once or twice.
Tell that to Sable.

I would, gladly. Without the least hesitation or doubt.

Well, that's you doing what you think is right. As I said, that doesn't mean everyone shares your opinion on responsibility.

And do you not see that as a problem? Often those who wield incredible power and destructive capability are often those with absolutely careless demeanor. They care not for the cities they level, or the lives they take. The fact that so many oft' act so recklessly with regard only for themselves is a dire problem that needs to be faced and squelched.

Those who wield great power without regard for those who suffer as a result of their actions should suffer a direct consequence.

And who says that if those others who now don't have magic powers, had been born with the same powers as Jeanne. Does she think that they would use them for the greater good? Not all people are the same. How you use your power is depended on your upbringing and your view of responsibility.

That's how Nigel would argue.

"Hypotheticals are irrelevant, Nigel. What matters is the current circumstances as they stand, to fight for the greater good is to fight for the commonfolk. Not wage wonton destruction over trivialities such as pride and fury. And in the end, you are right. Would they act the same? Maybe they would, maybe they wouldn't. What matters is what I choose to do with my power, a wise man once told me: 'A Soldier needs not be thanked for that which is their duty.' Meaning of course that I would happily charge headlong against the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse if it meant buying a glimmer of hope for those who don't have it. And I would do it freely, without expectation of reward, fame, or fortune."
@Lmpkio Won't be posting till monday or tuesday most likely, as I'm going on a trip with my family.

@Feisty-Pants Revan will also try to change Jeanne's point if view because he finds her need for Self-sacrifice to be idiotic and unhealthy. And he'll be sure to drill that fact into her head and make her understand it.

Just like with Mayhiro, good luck.

Jeanne in a Nutshell: "What is the purpose of the power I've been gifted if not for the greater good? Instead of others, it is my purpose to shed blood, sweat and tears. It is my purpose to carry the burden that others have been unable to, to act where others cannot. Even if it as the cost of my life. One life does not equate to thousands, one is undeniably equal to one; no matter how influential or powerful that life may be. Being a Magi does not, nor will it ever count my life as being more valuable than a magic-less newborn."

Fair point.

I won't be able to post now, but I will when I wake up.

Sorry feisty, J8.

Eh, no worries. XD

.......

I see....then the least I can do is to forge a bond with her.

I'm not saying it's impossible.

But it will take a lot, and I mean A LOT of time.
Perhaps, but that in itself needs to mean that Jeanne herself is capable of change.

More often than not, people never change Mr. Mayhiro. A sad and bitter truth, despite all evidence to the contrary, people stick to their convictions because it is comforting to them.

Perhaps Jeanne is incapable of change. :3
<Snipped quote by Feisty-Pants>

That will be Sage's main task: change her view and other stuff: create a bond.

Good luck.

Consider her a Paladin. Lawful Good and Self Sacrifice. There is no other route.
<Snipped quote by Feisty-Pants>

XD

Besides training, he's already done plenty of pyramid training, farlek training and mentality training.

But besides the training?

Hm.

I'm not entirely sure. Just like how Sage surmised, she's a very Black n' White kind of person. You're either right or wrong, there is no in-between.
<Snipped quote by Feisty-Pants>

I see:)

So...while you are not trying to kill me: what do you have in mind, onee-chan?

Killing you.

No, but seriously. Jeanne's version of training is constantly pushing someone to the verge of their limits. Giving them a breather for 5 minutes, and then pushing them again.
