Carmen was so enveloped in the music she was playing to notice more figures entering the garden, and even didn't notice when one came over to her bench until he sat down and she felt the seat shake a little. She stopped playing and put her trumpet down, setting it on her lap horizontally. Only then did she open her eyes and turn to see a man next to her waving and smiling at her. A man who was wearing...armor? She raised one eyebrow and quickly lowered it again, still having not said a word for a solid thirty seconds after the man had sat down. She blinked. "I'm sorry, my mind was...elsewhere," she finally said, letting out a small courteous smile. "I'm Carmen, what's your name?" And after a pause, "And why are you wearing armor? Isn't this a peaceful campus?"

I love it! It's certainly moving along better than Kalmaysia was. I would just suggest periodic events so it isn't an endless stream of us talking to each other.

I just slightly modified my last post to put Carmen on a bench in the garden instead of on the roof above it. She was pretty isolated before.

Carmen noticed that apologies given or demanded when unnecessary were a recurring theme in this conversation/argument. Having only momentarily averted her eyes from the dragon boy to watch the other become incorporeal (A ghost, she thought. I knew he wasn't a normal human.), she responded. "You need no apology from me...I merely used a little word play. A joke, if you will. You should loosen up! Life is more fun when you're not glaring all the time. I'll have to play you a symphony sometime." She paused. "Why don't we go somewhere else? If you haven't noticed, this auditorium has become a little...empty. The cafeteria perhaps? Or maybe the garden?" Yes, the garden, she thought. It would be nice to be outside. Knowing that the ghost was now at least temporarily safe from the dragon's advances, Carmen shifted into her bird form and left for the garden without waiting for a response. They would follow if they wanted to.

Soon she reached the garden. There weren't many people there and the ones that were there seemed occupied, so she found the nearest bench and shifted back into her human form, observing the scene presented before her. She hadn't heard any music in a while so she put her trumpet to her lips and began playing an elegant, soothing improvisation using very lush, ethereal chords, and it was audible to all that were willing to listen, whether in the campus or out. Ahhh...now that's better, she thought as she closed her eyes. She was the happiest when she was making music, and hoped her two quarreling acquaintances would step out into the garden or just listen wherever they were and be soothed.

Dude, Lily is great and you're doing great as GM. There's not really any critique necessary. :D

I come back from playing an orchestra concert and I have 3 new OOC pages to read. I expect that new from you guys. :P

HylianRose said I've debated with starting her over but I just can't. I don't want her to change. She's my little Lily. Like you guys have no idea how attached I am to her. It's been almost a year and I'm still not bored with her. Which says something.

I'm still pretty new to roleplaying, only starting last fall, but so far my Sasha from Kalmaysia is kind of like that for me, though to a far lesser degree. I didn't bring her in here because I wanted to have a character with more...depth. It's possible that Sasha's personality sprinkled with a little of Carmen's combined with Carmen's ability set might be that perfect, unchangeable character for me. I'm really attached to Sasha but also really attached to Carmen's trumpet and her less perfect (and thus more interesting) personality.

I would be absolutely fine with rooming with Serena! It would be fun to interact with someone new. It's up to you!
