Might be interesting to combine the Crusade idea and the imperial guard idea. People can play either the commanders of the crusade/high level imperial officials/astartes, etc as well as grunts on the ground. I dunno, just spitballing, but I like the idea of RPing both as a Warmaster as the guy on the front end, bearing the brunt of the Warmaster's decisions.

Ah, Hungary. I've always wanted to visit. Except like, 400 years ago. Today, the only thing that comes to mind about Hungary is kinky pornstars, palinka, and postmodern literature.
