Annette Delauney, C2 Building Well, this place was filling up fast, and it had to be a logistical nightmare for the government, with all these foreigners showing up. But that was the result of arbitrary decisions like that. You'd think that the government would know that. But apparently not. So she walked about, viewing the crowds, as she looked for her amusement. As it turned out though, amusement and activity would find her first as some brave soul came yup to her, speaking in French. She looked him over, getting the distinct impression that he was some sort of tourist, if the luggage was anything to go by. It was another sign of the incompetence here, that had been prompted by the abrupt call to gather here. And it wasn't surprising that there would be some other Frenchmen here as well. "Oui, il est, monsieur," she replied in turn, a slight grin turning the corners of her lips as she fixed her attention upon the man. There was some surprise at the fact that he apparently knew her name, but she quickly submerged that surprise as she looked down to see the badge. Well, that was interesting. "Indeed, but sadly I don't have much of a choice in the matter," she sighed. At the same time, she began planning out what to do, using the advantage given by her sunglasses to check behind him for other agents. If this was some sort of Interpol operation, then she'd have to be prepared to get out in a hurry, especially if they knew and were prepared for the full extent of her abilities. But she attempted to convey none of that as a hand rested on her hip, displaying all signs of ease. Fortunately, he seemed to realize that his presence could be taken the wrong way, though she wasn't entirely convinced of his professed innocence in presence. Call it a force of habit. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance Leon," she answered, drawing on her skills in social interactions to give him the due grace he deserved. "Just seeing the sights, looking for some excitement." It was the truth, but she'd leave it for Leon to choose whether he could believe her or not. An eyebrow rose at the mention of a murder investigation, her interest piqued. She was hardly concerned about getting attacked herself, given her skill and abilities, but it did promise something interesting. "Sadly, I haven't," she replied with a shake of her head. "Kidnapping is so...distasteful. I could look into it though, with the right...persuasion." The intent there was obvious. If Leon wanted her help, he was going to have to make it worth her while. At that point the presentation began, and Annette turned to watch, but she wasn't as impressed. She was no scientist, but what the good Doctor was talking about sounded crazy, and until she saw some proof that he was uniting space and time in a single form, or whatever, she wasn't going to believe him. Sure, there were the lights, but that was hardly proof of anything given technology that was present, and it was more than possible that that was a clever simulation, so she treated it with healthy skepticism. At the same time, she kept an ear open for Leon, and what he might try next.
Waiting on Team Gilkidu once more, though I can probably ignore them if necessary
Annette Delauney The cab ride was pleasant, at first, and rapidly descended into gridlock as a bunch of people made their way to the exact same spot that she was going, which was a bit much even for the road network of this place. Go figure. Annette sighed as she relaxed, looking out the window in dull monotony. The sense of urgency on the part of her driver was overwhelming, not. At last she got fed up, and tapped her driver on the shoulder. "Excuse me," she asked with a pleasant smile, lowering her sunglasses so she could look him in the eye. "Do you plan on having kids? Because if you do, I would suggest you take a more aggressive driving stance before I render you unable to do so, alright?" That earned a gulp and scared nod from the driver, and Annette smiled all the more as she sat back. The threat brought results as they began moving at a much more rapid pace through the cars and along city streets, until they were at the C2 Building, Fortunately they were early, and she was able to join the people arriving. "Thank you," she said to the driver, handing him some cash as she left the cab. "Keep the change." With that, she moved along and entered the building at a refined walk. It was a nice place, all things considered, but it could have been better. In her opinion. For the moment though, she went to mingle, and to potentially find something worth her time in all this mess and stupidity.
....It has become apparent that the Shadow Eternity needs Cinder around simply so she can keep Charlotte from eating her teammates.
Hm, currently working on my CS. Just deciding whether I should be an up and coming merchant, or a mercenary type character working for one of the major clains.
Well then, time to eat food (for two characters), and time to do some gambling (for one, if the Leader doesn't have a request for her) EDIT: Music link edited so it works
Nono, Restaurant District, Yggdrasil That Gilgamesh guy was still rambling about his adventures, which she stored for later. At the same time, her primary attention was on Saber, who was in control of the situation as usual. It was the kind of attitude that Nono was still striving for, a lesson that she still had to learn even in her final meeting with Lal'c. And at the same time though, she knew people couldn't do it alone. Which was why she would support Onee-sama as much as she could. "Alright Onee-sama," she said happily, following after Saber as she mirrored the other girl's pace. "Hey there, I'm Nono," she added with her upbeat attitude as Lucas introduced himself. "Are you new here?" Entering the restaurant at near the same time, she looked around, impressed and eager, even though getting nutrition was unnecessary for her. Glancing over at Gintoki with his question, she then looked at Saber. "I can get some tables if you guys want to order food first," she offered. She knew how much Saber wanted her food, and not boding any argument, she went off to stake her claim in tables for the group.
Misaka 10032, Client World Macross Misaka hadn't really considered whether Marisa would actually have caused damage to the city in her visit as a part f her calculations, to be honest. Academy City had a near incredible ability to recover from any damage, short of full on apocalyptic sized catastrophe, so certainly there was nothing the Witch could have done that would have seriously compromised the city. With agreement, she silently headed towards the indicated food venue. It was a nice place, outdoor to provide access to the sun and sky, though with shade as needed. Round and long tables were both set up, while music played from speakers overhead. Walking up to the small area from which one could place their order, she pointed at a dish, almost seemingly at random given some of the strange names listed there. "'I will have that,' Misaka says with growing hunger," Misaka told the man working there, who was slightly off put by didn't complaint. Order given, she stepped off to the side to allow the other two to order, before they went to find a table so they could sit and wait for their meal.
Cinder Fall, Her Secret Base -> Shadow Eternity HQ Cinder wore her smirk as she finished installing and setting up the power cube, the generator put into standby mode as she had yet to get the rest of the items she needed to make her plan a reality. That would take some more work, but she had the time, for the moment. And it would be completed in time. The multiverse was useful like that, since it meant everything was available with enough searching. That done, she spun about and left, calm paces taking her back along the route she had traced once before. She had to get back before people began to suspect much, since she still didn't need people wondering where she had gone at the moment. Not that she expected to have to since she hadn't been gone that long, but better safe than sorry. Back she went to the main plaza which was currently being cleaned by small, yet efficient robots. She gave another glance to the ring overhead that curved up from the horizon, before stepping back onto the teleporter pad. The press of a button, and she was gone, leaving this place empty once more. She appeared with a flash of light back in the base, the place as active as ever. Not that she expected otherwise, and she smoothly stepped out and into the general activity, as seamlessly as she had left it. At the moment, she considered going to see Giorno, a man whom she considered something of an ally, though she certainly attempted to not underestimate him. He was useful, but she knew he could tell he was being used. That made it all the more delicate. But she decided against it for the moment. They had time. She also considered going to go find The Leader, to investigate and learn what more she could about their organizer and master. Such a mysterious figure was too much to be left alone, and she wanted to learn more about her, her identity, and her goals. That way, she could better promote her own agenda. But, once more, their Leader seemed busy, and until she had instructions she was willing to be let alone. So she headed to the lounge, one of many lounges in the place, to rest, and to further spread her tendrils of support throughout the organization. It seemed to always be a hard days work for her, but she would not have it any other way. She had a mission, and she would see it to the end.
<Snipped quote by Flamelord> True, but no firearm law actually exists in the current China, so it stands to reason that if they're lenient on guns of all things then swords wouldn't really make a difference... That's my logic behind it anyway.
Um, what? Ownership of firearms by private citizens is illegal in China. They definitely have firearm laws
To confirm, carrying around Masamune in public would not be legal, because sword laws in China say the blade has to be dull, and the tip has to be less than 2.5 mm in size. Admittedly, the laws here could be different.
Annette Delauney Annette sighed as she took another sip from her drink, sunglasses covered haze roving the place as she looked for something, anything worthy of her attention. But there wasn't anything that she could see, rendering this whole thing an increasing waste of her time. Not that she was entirely surprised given her status and abilities, but one could hope. Sadly, it seemed that such hope would be dashed upon the rocks. Woe was her. Fortunately, she had a drink, and that would suffice. But at this point she was contemplating seeing how many rooms she could break into and rob in a row before someone caught on. Her head perked up with the announcement then, rolling her eyes at the directives she had no intention of following if she had a say in the matter and it ended up being an inconvenience for her. Inviting all the foreigners in the city to this one building seemed like a really stupid idea, bu she wasn't going to object to it, the split decision made to go there. She hummed as she finished her drink, leaving it in place for one of the workers to retrieve as she rose from her seat. She might as well, the opportunity to meet two other high powered ESPers was worth it, and given what kind of gathering it seemed to be, odds were high that she'd find someone there worth her interest. At a moderate walk, she left the building and headed outside, past well dressed men and women, until she stood at the edge of the street. A hand raised to wave down a taxi, and one soon responded to her hails, pulling to a stop in front of her. She got in the backseat and sat down comfortable as she spoke to the middle aged man driving. "C2 Building, if you would," she instructed. The man nodded and pulled away into traffic. Soon, she'd be able to see what all the fuss was about.
