Mulgrew huffed to himself as he approached the CIC, a bit late compared to everyone else if he didn't miss his guess. But that was hardly his fault, or so he would like to think. It wasn't as if he had been responsible for the obvious favoritism that had taken over the UNSC defense forces, favoring the Marines over the Army. Sure, the Marines had greater tactical flexibility, and general quality, but that didn't mean the Army was any less deserving. But it seemed that the politicians didn't agree.

Still, he tried to not let things like that cloud his view, especially as he prepared to take part in this operation. It would be a nice change from dodging snipers and dealing with Insurrectionist IED's, now wouldn't it? And he supposed that was the best he could ask for, in the era after the Human-Covenant War.

The halls were bustling with activity, the ship preparing to get on the move for this mission even with the covert nature of it. It just meant that there wasn't any idle chit chat from those passing by, focused on their jobs as they were. A pity, but he'd survive. He was here after all.

He made his way in at a brisk walk, entering the room before saluting. "Thomas Mulgrew, reporting for duty sir," he said firmly, as he had been trained to do. ONI spooks gave him the creeps, and he noted the Spartans, but maintained his composure. If nothing else, he would show them what the Army could do.
Ahsoka Tano, New York City

Things had been going well, and Ahsoka had managed to put the Sith on the defensive for the moment, only for him to take advantage of a slight opening to kick her, bringing the onslaught to a halt. Damn it, she had fallen to her overconfidence once more. This was made even more apparent as she was locked in a Force Choke, hand grabbing at the invisible pressure on her neck even as her dangling feet kicked futilely.

"I don't think so," she grunted as she prepared her next trick. This one she had learned from Assaj, and even though it wasn't as powerful as, say, some others she had faced, it would serve it's purpose here.

So she focused, drew on the lessons from Assaj as her mind began to falter and her vision narrowed. Then she released, free hand thrusting forward as a blast of lightning shot out, aimed directly at the Sith. Seemed the Jedi might not be so pure after all. But if it worked and he released the choke, she didn't particularly mind.
@Flamelord A nice, simple sheet of acceptable quality (although maybe it doesn't explore the possibilities of this universe as well as I'd like). I'm going to say now that, given that she began her magical training at 13, it makes sense for her to have burned out and become weaker. That's actually a little old to start training, so her soul was probably already developing impurities when her aging started to slow.

Yeah, I just wanted to get something up. I'll be a bit more in depth once the thread goes up. but the idea of the old veteran trying to regain some of that lost wonder seemed appealing, so I rolled with it.
Welp, currently working on my adult character. This may be a bit, though it should be interesting.

EDIT Tadah! Though I expect alterations will be necessary.

Name(s): Genevieve Simmons
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Personality: An upbeat person most of the time, she is collected, confident, and relatively organized. In spite of being in the military she isn't really a stickler for the rules, so long as it doesn't interfere with getting the job done. Off duty she is a fun loving girl who likes chatting with people, rolls with the punches, and sticks up for those she cares about. Still, she has a tendency to wax mostalgic about the old days. After all, deep down she never stopped being a magical girl.

History: Born as the oldest of three siblings, Genevieve always felt that she was meant for some higher calling. Perhaps that was silly for someone so young, but she was driven by a determination to serve as an example for her siblings. That was why she became a magical girl at the first opportunity, around the age of 13. She served, made a lot of new friends, saw new places, and had experiences that she never could have dreamed of, while sending the money back to her family.

But eventually she grew up, and the magic went away. She couldn't let go though, and continued on even without her magic. She distinguished herself in that way then, eventually taking up a position on a new expedition to test an FTL drive, where she serves as a tactical coordinator for the magical girl squadrons, to point them at their objectives and monitor them during missions.

Magic
Style: Like all adults, her magic is used for powering the guns and not much else.
Colour: Orange

Equipment

Magical Equipment: Long Range pulse laser
Combat Equipment: Combat knife, automatic pistol
Misc. Equipment: A pocketwatch from her father, calibrated to Earth standard time.

Other

Combat Experience: Genevieve served as a magical girl from when she was thirteen up until the time that her magic vanished, meaning she has plenty of experience in combat operations, escort missions, security, and the like. This has maintained itself to her current position, and though she has not been in the field in a while, she is still knowledgeable about how to fight.
Hopes, Dreams, Goals: Make it home safely, recapture the magic of her teen years,
Fears, Flaws and Anxieties: Failure, people dying on her watch, spiders, longing for the past, something happening to her siblings, insecurity about herself
Living Family: Alexis Simmons (Sister), Daniel Simmons (Father), Charles Simmons (Brother)
Yuri: Enabled
I see we have our antagonist to fight the Emperor.

Name: Thomas Mulgrew
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Military Classification: Corporal, UNSC Army
Service History: During his time in the UNSC Army, Muglrew fought in the final years of the Human-Covenant War as it reached it's climax. That lasted until he was reassigned to this, and is ready to do whatever it is being done here.

Ahsoka Tano, New York City

Ahsoka grinned in success as she sent the Sith flying back, even if it didn't succeed in overly injuring him. It was a good start, and it showed that she could give just as good as she took. And in a fight like this, giving a Sith pause was a good thing.

With her lightsabers settled back into a defensive position, her gaze flew up as he leapt into the air, to suspend himself with the force before unleashing a blast of Force Lightning. That she had dealt with plenty a time, and she raised her lightsaber to block it. It didn't endure long before the Sith practically slammed down, throwing her off guard even as she managed to keep from falling, and pulled back.

"You keep thinking that," she replied calmly as she prepared to move again. She had learned a few tricks while in the Unknown Region, and she was sure that he wouldn't see them coming as she went back on the attack, striking rapidly and keeping on the move. Time to show him just how good a Jedi she was.

@Kael Taiyou
Really, bro? The entire point of Gurren Lagann is that it's completely over-the-top, and yet it explains it's bullshit energy source far better than almost any other franchise out there.

I thought the point was that there are no such thing as impossible challenges.
Just because of spiral power, that's what makes that show shit in my opinion. I hate it so bad i never used Gurren Laggan in a SRW game.

But....but...muh 100% completion. (I wish I could be in an SRW RP)
