Alex had made his way near one of the wings of the castle, by an open air garden that also had some sort of miniature hedge maze inside, which would serve as a suitable obstruction for the guards watching the place. Not perfect, of course, but good enough to get closer to the Citadel than he might otherwise have gotten. Which was good for him, and he had spent some time loitering and observing guard patterns, to find the perfect opportunity.

Really, this was a stupid decision. He hadn't done any major prep work, and who knew what sorts of defenses were inside? For a day like this there could be a veritable army in wait, and it wasn't as if he had something related to invisibility, or backup. Going alone into the Citadel was a suicide mission, as anyone would be able to tell him without a second thought.

Still, he had to do it, at least in his mind. He had come this far, and there would be no turning back for him. If he succeeded then he would be legendary, a folk figure to hold the imagination, even if it ended up getting him arrested or killed. At the very least he would be known and remembered, and that was what he wanted. Compared to that, the actual physical outcome would be nothing.

Before he could move, the Imperator arrived.

His gaze was held in place by an aura of sheer authority that radiated from her, casting foolishness on his idea. He planned to rob from her?!? He had to be insane. Yet he couldn't help but notice how everyone watched her as she spoke, decrying the Librarian and voicing their peace and prosperity. He could really care less about the Librarian, but the fact that no one was paying attention was interesting.

Then her words registered, earning a grin on his part as the crowd exploded into murmurs of confusion. A treasure hunt? He could get behind that.

But now, while everyone's attention was on the Imperator, it was time to move! He wouldn't get a better opportunity. So with a quick gesture and word he activated his tome, wooden escrima sticks slid into his grip. With them ready he jumped, making a quick wave with his Tome. After a second he could feel a platform of solid air materialize, pushing him up and forward as he spanned the distance from the ground to the open window. He bent, curled, and cleared the opening present with nary a hitch.

Landing in a roll, he glanced around the small study that he was now in. He'd made it inside the Citadel itself, something that sent a thrill through him. He was here, and he was doing it. Rising, he brushed himself off and stepped to the door, peeking out before moving stealthily into the hallway outside. Now then, time to get to work and see if he could find something interesting. It was now or never.
Ooh, a mass treasure hut!

Well, there is a lot of treasure in the Citadel :D
Ruiko Saten, New York City, Arcadia-1

While there had still been some doubts as to her future course in Ruiko's mind, the statement by the Ethereal to her banished them in an instant as anger flared. It wasn't his fault, since he couldn't know the mess of emotions nor the context that such memories existed in, but it hit a sore point for her.

How could she forget the beginning of this all, her friends deriding the Level Upper as 'the easy way', as if it was only used by people who didn't want to do the hard work of developing their abilities on their own. Even Uiharu didn't understand, couldn't understand the pressure she had been under, as someone who had gone to Academy City explicitly to become an Esper, and then faced with failure at each and every attempt. She wasn't trying to cheat, or to sidestep the process needed to become an Esper. It was just that when everything else had failed, and she was faced with her own weakness and with how powerless she was, how could she stop from using the only thing that seemed to give her a chance? And it had worked.

"We'll see," she shot back with a growl, hands clenching as irrational anger surged through her. But she didn't let it overpower her as she turned to face Nova. "Alright. I'll come with you." Not an easy choice, but in the end there had been no doubt about the decision.
@Flamelord
So should I wait for Ruiko to react to the Ethereal, or post now?

I can post. Give me a sec.
<Snipped quote by Flamelord>

Force fields do no good when Conablum labs could literally pull you around by messing with the gravity around you, fire electric waves to disable your forcefields, then bombard you with cold fusion until all that's left of you is dust. Of course that's all stationary defensive weaponry located at the labs.

Well, this argument at the moment is invalid anyway since Ba'al doesn't actually know where the labs are and can't exactly send a fleet thee in the first place. But I would point out that the Goa'uld also have gravity manipulation technology (albeit not on such a large scale) and cold fusion weaponry too. And that's before getting into the Ancient technology recovered from Atlantis and other places.
@flamelord right now, any fleet you have Cyano can vaporize as you would be parking it over Conablum labs.

Force fields are a wonderful thing :V
@Flamelord Wut

They can contact us shady people whenever

Ba'al will contact you people when he has the forces to park a fleet over your head in a display of force.
I guess if the Democracies are going to get ignored, I'll just scratch that idea and just make some ridiculous OP organisation. Not GEOM OP mind you, just something that I won't be absolutely destroyed by. No one mind if I add some Ork and Shinobi interaction into this Rp?

Don't worry, the Goa'uld are being ignored too. We can be ignored together. :V
And the Ethereal unknowingly hits the trigger to convince Ruiko to go along with Nova. Good job. :V
@Flamelord And this is why it's not a healthy relationship.

Nobody ever said it was.

Now post :V
