Alistair groaned at the disturbance going on behind him, his arm still throbbing and making things not exactly pleasant. He could see stuff was going on, but apparently no one had noticed his own revised assessment of his physical condition. Wonderful. Well, he supposed that it was just because there were other people who were more seriously injured than he was.

Still, he had to make his opinion known as shaky hands worked at the clasp for his restraints. "Much as I'm a fan of 'hard men making hard decisions', I would prefer that we try to keep as many people alive as possible. I know I won't be executing anybody." That said he finally got the clasp and rose to his feet on shaky legs. So far so good, it was just a matter of figuring out the condition of the ship, and then going from there.
Dawn Agresta - Beacon Amphitheater, Monday
@Kaithas@Hylianhero@Invariance of C@Pyromania99

Dawn, for her part, didn't care that much about what might be bothering Ozpin. Doubtlessly he had a lot more to worry about, what with being the Headmaster of the school and all, and she had a feeling that it wasn't all that relevant to her or any of the students. But she might be wrong, she would freely admit. In the end it didn't matter, since it was quite obvious that Ozpin didn't feel like telling them.

"I don't see why not," she admitted without unnecessary concern as Martin suggested that they go talk to one off the smaller groups that had remained inside the amphitheater. She didn't have the inclination to write at the moment, and her parents would want her to meet other people, so she might as well.

With that said she would wait for Martin before walking over to the conversing trio. "Hello," she said to them upon nearing them. "I guess we aren't the only ones who aren't eager to explore the campus."

Aren't we all?

I'm not. :V
Alex had just thought he had gotten clear, only to slam face first into....nothing. He couldn't see anything, but it was definitely nothing. Almost like his Tome, except he would have known if he was using it. And that could only mean one thing, given the situation that he was in.

'Really, he grumbled to himself. 'How the hell did he figure it out so easily? Well, there was what he said, but that could have been explained away. And with the stupid invisible wall that was apparently the guys tome, he couldn't exactly make a break for it. He'd just have to hope that he could bluff his way out of this, before he ended up like those people who were scheduled to be executed outside. He did not want to share that fate.

"Heh, yeah, you got me," he ceded with a chagrined look, rubbing the back of his head as he fell back on his usual efforts to slip out of situations like this. He would just have to bluff for his life and then look for an opportunity to make a break for it. He was sure that one would appear sooner or later. After all, everyone slipped up eventually, no matter how good they were.

He glanced around then, indicating the impression that he wanted to get across while unaware of how useless it would actually be. "This place is pretty big, How do you find your way around in here without a map?"
Well then, that was interesting, and unpleasant. Kevin had been hoping to escape notice, yet even without trying he had already caught the eye of a Gym Leader. Though he supposed that she might just be acting the part of a good neighbor, so he wouldn't unnecessarily worry as of yet. It could just be nothing, and he was overreacting to it.

Glancing around, he hummed in thought for a moment as she posed her question to him at the same time. There was a lot of stuff, and another hand couldn't hurt. Then again, giving someone the chance to look through all his stuff before he had gotten organized risked them finding things that he would rather not be found. So, in the end it was a pretty wise decision.

"I think I'll take a break," he admitted with a slight chuckle, wiping his forehead at the same time. "A break would be good. it's hotter than I'm used to here." Hunter could handle things for the moment, since he seemed to be putting up with the heat better than Kevin was himself.
Yeah, sorry. I just got distracted by finals and such. My bad.
You are a lying GM who lies, just so you know.
Dawn Agresta - Mid-Day, Beacon Amphitheater
@Kaithas

Finding a good spot in the amphitheater from which she could watch events, Dawn settled in to wait. Soon enough she was rewarded as Ozpin arrived, and the opening ceremonies began. It was all a mundane affair, and honestly she had expected that it would be longer. Certainly she had braced herself to be there for something like an hour, but that ended up not being the case. Which was definitely odd, no matter how one looked at it.

Glancing around, she could tell that others were discontent, if only because Ozpin had basically insulted them in the course of his speech if nothing else. But she wasn't too offended, since she wasn't incredibly invested in the business of being a Huntsman anyway. Perhaps her focus was directed elsewhere, but it met her interests nonetheless.

Soon enough it was over, and she looked over to Martin as he noted the lackluster state of the ceremony. There had barely been any word on the initiation anyway, so how would they knew what to do? It seemed that someone might have messed up on the planning front, if she had to take a guess.

"It seemed like the Headmaster was distracted by something," she noted with a shrug. That was all she could really say on the matter. She then sighed, head bowing slightly. "Well, I suppose now is the time to meet people, since there's nothing else to do until night time.
Ruiko Saten, New York City, Arcadia-1

For the moment it seemed that Nova was busy, but Ruiko was fine with that. He would have something for her to do soon enough, and she didn;t mind having some time to get used to her now natural powers, and how strange her body was feeling after he had finished doing....whatever it was that he had done. Forcibly altering her brain chemistry into a new natural state did that.

Suddenly though, she found herself being poked in the back of the head. It almost earned a knee jerk reaction from Aero Hand, which probably would not have been appreciated by the offender even if it didn't do much damage, but she managed to restrain herself. Blasting someone that was one of Nova's allies probably wouldn't be that good of an idea.

Turning, she found the strange man who seemed to manipulate crystal at will, now asking her if she knew where a not-destroyed clothes store was. "No," she replied, shaking her head. "I've never been to New York before. And stop doing that!" That last was in response to having her forehead poked, and the urge to blow him away with Aero Hand was rising. She wouldn't mind the test of her new abilities, if he insisted on annoying her. Even normal, she wouldn't have accepted that without protest.

Before she could do so though, some noise from above attracted her attention, rawing her gaze up to a UFO looking thing just before it exploded. It reignited her old interests, rumors and urban legends and the like, though the explosion was distressing, and worrying. "What was that?" she asked, noting the escape pods and using her powers to bat away any debris that approached her.

Ba'al and Teal'c, Caracas, Venezuela

Ba'al and Teal'c had been walking along, headed to examine some new construction when Ba'al came up short, the telepathic message from the God-Emperor coming straight into his head like some form of telepathy. He stood motionless, lips curled downwards in annoyance as his First Prime watched him, wonder just what had happened, and why Ba'al had stopped.

"My Lord, are you alright," he asked, once Ba'al had recovered, though he did not resumed walking the way that he had been before.

Ba'al held back a sigh as he nodded. "I'm alright Teal'c. However, it appears that the reports we had of the death of that...'God-Emperor' were a tad exaggerated. He wishes to meet with me, upon threat of wiping out the entire Empire if I do not comply" RThat, of course, was outrageous. No one could destroy the entire Empire, not one that held an entire galaxy. BUt he knew better than to rule such thing an impossibility.

"That is impossible," Teal'c pointed out, not knowing any better. "No single individual wields so much power to destroy an entire race."

That earned something of a sigh, though Ba'al did not disabuse him of the notion. "Of course not. But nonetheless, I cannot ignore him." He was a major player in this world, and would have to be dealt with, sooner or later. It was just a matter of figuring out how to do it. But he would manage it, one way or the other.

Such an answer was accepted by his First Prime, who turned his gaze forward as he walked along with Ba'al. "What will you do?"

A chuckle escaped as Ba'al headed back towards their command center, to plan. "For now, nothing. We will focus on bringing the Ha'tak through, in order to ensure our own defense. Once that has arrived, then we will go meet with our 'God-Eperor'." He was not one to negotiate from a position of weakness if he could help it. Teal'c nodded, and fell silent as he walked along with his Lord.

The God-Emperor would regret underestimating the Goa'uld.
Working on a post now. BUt if we're going to have a time skip or something then I'll hold off having Ba'al visit NYC until after it.
