Masae Kanegawa

The computer club room had taken on a different appearance from what Masae was used to, now arranged like a game show audience room or something similar to that. Considering what they had arranged that made sense, but it was still worth noting since it wasn't what the room usually looked like. Fortunately she had beaten the clock, and managed to arrive before the main event started.

With the time that was left before the quiz, she spent it chatting with the other people there that she knew. She went to the Computer Research Society every once in a while, but considering how busy she was some sacrifices in her time had to be made. Besides, with how often things like DGO invariably came up it wasn't like she had much incentive to be around. Who knew what sorts of groups had someone in the club? Okay, so she was probably being a bit paranoid, but she had learned that excessive caution was never harmful.

Still, that was a concern for another time. At the moment she just wanted to enjoy the festival, and that she did as she waited for the game to begin. Idly she wondered if Aderyn would show up, a momentary thought she quickly dismissed. She was probably busy with guild business, perhaps even actively playing right now. A shame that she would miss out on the fun for that, but it wasn't for her to decide. Aderyn would do what she wanted, and trying to stop her wouldn't get Masae anywhere.

At last the hostess emerged, and though it didn't do anything for her personally, Masae appreciated the nerves it took to dress up in a bunny outfit for this. It wasn't like she was required to do so after all, as far as the girl knew. This wasn't quite the maid cafe after all. Regardless of the speculation over outfits, Masae sat down with the others as she waited for the game to begin.

The game began, and Masae found that the first question was definitely easy, as the name attested. Even if she didn't know all the Beatles albums, there was only one with an iconic cover that she could think of, and it wasn't Sergeant Pepper. So she wrote down 'Abbey Road', and sat back to await confirmation of her answer.

@KoL
So far things could have gone worse, though Alex was getting the sense that he was hardly the picture of innocence for Zealot. Not that that was really a surprise given how rapidly he showed up after Alex himself had returned home. Without immediate aggression though he was willing to consider with this avenue of approach. They'd probably want to find some evidence that the Relic was in this actual place, rather than a general area, first.

Well, if he was wrong then this would hurt. But for now he'd continue with his plan as he came to a stop as well, though he did shift slightly nearer to the escape route that he had installed in his place a while ago. Everyone needed a bolt hole, especially if that everyone was a certain thief of ill repute in the Imperium.

"Of course I am," he confirmed with a nod. Not that he cared much for the rules in the first place, as his self professed occupation could attest to. "I don't even know what a Legendary Relic looks like, much less me having on in the first place. Though if the Imperium is planning to get my luggage back I'd certainly be willing to take a look around."

Admittedly, that was pretty unlikely considering his luggage was at the bottom of Aquaria somewhere. But it wasn't like Zealot would know that either, so he didn't feel bad in asking. At the very least it would buy him some time, which he could use to scrub his own tracks a bit and make it harder for Zealot to find him the next time. For now, h waited to see how Zealot would react to that, and what sort of lie he would have to spin next.
Jessica wasn't so much interested in how the boy fought, as what he actually did, though he did get around to answering that in time. Jazz? Well, jazz wasn't a genre she had worked with that much, but she was certainly willing to try new things. Some ideas already sprang to mind about what they could try out together, even if it was just a recording. It wouldn't be the first time that she had worked with other people in collaborations.

Of course, there was also the point that he made, since there weren't many other people to team up with. "You make a good point," she agreed as she looked around. After doing that she stepped forward, offering the boy a hand. "Jess Avery. It's nice to meet you."
So, uh, not sure what I should do with my Master character seeing as I lost El Cid. Just pretend he doesn't exist too?

Oh, and I feel like Nevsky would be of more use dealing with Vikings than with Age of Gods hijinks.
Arriving in the dressing room, Jess scanned the people who had arrived there to see just what she was dealing with. Some acts seemed far outside the norm of what she usually catered to, but others were closer to the sorts of things that she did if her assumptions weren't mistaken. Unfortunately there was no one he recognized there, but such was life.

She took up a position off towards the left side of the room as she waited for things to get started, and it soon did as her coach arrived to explain the situation to everyone gathered there. It didn't seem that complicated overall. Five matches againsr different opponents, different stages, the winner presumably advanced towards the finals. It would be a tad more dangerous fighting another idol with some of her moves, but after a moment of consideration Jessica quickly lightened up. She was sure that it would be fine. There was no way the organizers would have overlooked something like that, right?

With that the group dispersed a bit to go about making up pairs. There was some sort of ambient noise going on, but she paid that little mind as she rapidly found herself approached by someone else, a tall fellow who seemed to think that blue was n style this seasons. Not that she was one to judge, to be fair.

She nodded in turn. "Yeah. If I succeed then that's great, I'm just here to play music with a bunch of other people who like doing the same thing." The question about partnering up was a bit more tricky though, and she wouldn't just leap without looking. "I'd say I'm open to it. What do you do?"
Before Jessica got far enough along to actually begin tuning her instrument, she found herself interrupted by a voice from the large monitor. The face there was familiar, and she joined the others in smiling as she paid attention to what was being said. If it was coming from Eriko then it was probably important. Then again, given the situation she probably would have listened anyways.

She held still as the fans departed the room, leaving the idols alone. Even though she understood why, and knew it was only for good, she couldn't help but get a chill at the sight of so many people leaving in unison like that. It was just creepy to her, that's all.

With them gone a trio of individuals appeared, indicating that they were coaches who seemed to focus on specific areas. If the weird names they had were any indication to her. With that they went about explaining what was going on here, much to her surprise. So it was some sort of competition then, to determine who the best idol was? Unorthodox, but she supposed she was game for it. How bad could it be?

That in mind she made no effort to take out her stuff, instead waiting until her name was called. She stepped up and took an armband before heading backstage for her team room. This was definitely going to be interesting, that was for sure.
Main Concert Hall, Sacalonia

Jessica Rothgeb, better known as Jess Avery to her fans, smiled as she took in the concert hall that she had been directed to. It was certainly impressive, larger than most of the venues that she had performed in before. Though given that many of her own performances had merely been on the street she supposed that it wasn't that much of a shock. Well, the street, bars, subway stations, anywhere they would let her play really. If she made it to a stadium or concert venue, so much the better.

But she really had to hand it to Greg, her manager. She didn't know how he had wrangled it, but she was here now in Sacalonia, for what had been touted as a worldwide idol competition. She didn't really expect to win, but just the opportunity to be here, to make music with all these talented people and put on a show? That was the opportunity of a lifetime, and something she wouldn't ever miss or forget.

Of course, she couldn't forget her priorities. Pausing near the entrance of the building, Jessica fished her phone out of her pocket and booted up the camera for a well framed Selfie. She herself was dressed in fairly casual wear, slightly weathered jeans,a black t shirt, and a light blue overcoat to go with it. On her back was a more weathered instrument case, and she flashed a smile for the camera so everyone could see where she was, and some of the other idols in the background. With the photo taken, it was simple to upload it to her social media and website with a quick caption. 'In Sacalonia for the big show. So many famous people here! Wish me luck. :) '

With that done she put her phone away before turning to the actual event. People were chatting, warming up, and after a thought that seemed like a good idea. An instrument had to be properly maintained after all, even if she wasn't going to be immediately performing. So sh began to wander the hall, looking for an open spot that had not yet been claimed where she would be able to practice a bit. This was going to be a lot of fun, she was sure of it.
So I just realized that the title of this RP is grammatically incorrect and now it's annoying me. GM, do something :P

As seen in Idols are Heroes too!
