Her primary passion is music and playing it, and she hopes to be an inspiration for others by putting herself out there. Not necessarily the most confrontational person, but when lives are on the line she won't back down.
Background: Jessica had a relatively normal life all told, the eldest of two siblings with a happy home life, a mother and father. She grew up in that nurturing environment, one that pushed her to strive, better herself, and simply live in spite of the B.O.D attacks that took place and threatened to disrupt so much.

Yet as she grew older she began to realize that something was missing from her life, an emptiness and dissatisfaction with how things were going for her. She had a steady job, was employed, but it was just a dull monotony of life for her. It was a friend who eventually got her interested in music, and she found herself enjoying strings, violin, cello, that sort of thing. It became a nice hobby, but that was where she figured it would stay.

Then an audition for a tv show music competition came into town, and she decided to try it out and see how she did. What was the worst that could happen? To her surprise, not only did she succeed but she would go on to create her Vocal Gem as well, debuting as a singer and rapidly gaining popularity for her own unique style. Now she's been invited to Europe as part of a promotional event, and she isn't about to refuse

Tartys

"I bid you all a very fond farewell...."

The song that Tartys had sung faded away in the wind, lyrics and notes left to hang in the minds of those who had gathered to listen to her. Tartys herself let out a breath that she hadn't realized she had been holding during the course of her performance, and she let the guitar dip as her head bowed. It was a simple song, all told, and it did not match some of the performances that she had heard in Heaven, but it soothed her in a way that little else could match.

The voice in her ear brought her back to reality, and she let a smile grace her lips as she turned to look at Torag, who had come in at some point and was seated next to her. "You honor me," she replied with an accepting nod as he praised her performance. With his hesitance in speaking it seemed that her song had had some resonance, and that was all she could hope for.

Music might be a hobby of sorts, but it did not remain the focus for the entire conversation as it turned towards what had happened in Alt Signia, even if her contributions had not been as spectacular as those of their 'ally' in that fight. "We all did the best that we could. I merely wish that I could have been of more use in the fight. Perhaps things would have gone differently." In the grand scheme of the Nexus it might not matter that much, but she could nonetheless hope for that far off day when they had victory at last.

Tatiana had to imagine that she made quite the sight right now, but she didn't really care about that fact. This food was delicious, like she had never eaten anything better. And, well, this body hadn't eaten any actual food before.

"Yeah," she confirmed with a momentary pause as she glanced up at Bastion. "Vat grown clone bodies hooked up to the mainframe so they can download stored neural nets when you die. Not the most pleasant experience, but it's better than being dead." She shrugged then, stabbing some food with her fork. "It's a lot better than whatever liquid nutrient junk they give the replacement bodies while they're in storage."

She'd prefer to not think about that if she could help it, if only because that made it easier for everyone concerned. She didn't want to dwell on mortality, especially with how much of a joke that was in the Nexus. Right now she just needed to focus on recovering, and preparing for the next fight when it came.

At that point she got her distraction, with Marquis arriving and sitting down nearby before praising them for their work in the battle. "Thanks sir," she replied with another pause from eating. "Glad it was worth it." She couldn't attest to how important their infiltration mission had ultimately ended up being, but at least they came out on top.

In the meanwhile a notification popped up on her comm unit, indicating that she had received a message. It looked like the same thing had been received by Bastion, which was a bit more of a surprise. Not a big one, but she figured they wouldn't be spending much time together given the secretive stuff that Bastion had been doing in the previous mission. Well, she wasn't about to complain otherwise as she stopped eating to take a sip of her drink. "Sounds good to me," Tatiana agreed after checking her message. This would be enough to tide her over for a good while.

Once she had finished the last bit of what she was eating she rose from her seat and deposited the tray in one of the recyclers, before turning back to face her companion. "Alright, let's go." She was ready to live a bit.

Alexander Nevsky

It was a relief for Nevsky to see that things had calmed down and that the competition could continue as it had been planned out. Berserker certainly seemed willing, at least once they had obtained a new table to use. Here was hoping that didn't happen after every single match, though given how the first one had broken he somehow doubted it. He was no Berserker after all, nor did he share that desire to lash out at any wrongs or setbacks.

"It is an honor," he replied with a nod as he took up a position across from his opponent. He propped his arm p on the table as well before clasping Kintoki's hand, ready to give this his all. He had no illusions about how difficult this would be, but it was the effort that counted more than anything. So he gave it his full effort, drawing on what he himself knew about this sort of thing to try and claim a victory. Stranger things had happened before.

Alex shrugged, not too intimidated by Stark being there but also aware of the fact that he had to tread carefully. This was too soon after his return to be a coincidence, and in that case he had the feeling that he had to keep the Relic secret if he could. The Imperator might want it, but this wasn't exactly a good way to convince him that he should give it over to them. Well, he just wasn't inclined to.

"Sorry, it's been a long day," he explained in a tone that was all too truthful for his liking. "Besides, I wasn't sure how you wanted to be referred to so I figured I should get that out of the way first." That part was only a bit true, and he moved past that to focus on what was happening.

With that said he took a step back, revealing more of his apartment as he gave a beckoning wave. "Please, come on in. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have." He was confident enough in his abilities to make up something that would seem credible without an in depth check, which would give him the time he needed. If worst came to worst he could always make a run for it again. But for now he waited to see how far the Enforcer was willing to go with this.

It was a fairly quick trip to the cafeteria once she had retrieved some new clothes, and she was looking forward to it. Once the immediate pain of being released had faded away new aches sprang to the surface. Food would do some wonders for her physical condition, she was sure of it. Then she could get on with whatever else she needed to handle in the day.

Arriving at her destination, she wasted no time in doing just as she had said. With a tray obtained she got herself a glass of mineral water, and then loaded it up with everything she could. Eggs, sausage, pancakes, biscuits, a bit of gravy, and more. She was going to eat until she couldn't eat anymore, and then she would be satisfied. Rebirth made you hungry, it was just an unfortunate part of this one method. It wasn't like food was particularly scarce here in the capital anyway.

With her food in hand she moved back into the cafeteria to take a seat. Before she could do so she was flagged down by a familiar figure, and made her way over to join Bastion in sitting at her table. "No, I didn't," she admitted with a shrug as she placed her food down before sitting in front of her current companion.

As she stabbed at one of the sausages, she explained. "Me and Shizuka were holding down the teleporter room inside the volcano, then this angel comes stumbling in, drops dead, and then...I think they exploded. The last couple seconds are a bit fuzzy." Much as she had wanted to stay alive, there wasn't much she could do about in that particular moment.

Grimacing, she eyed the food on her fork with an obvious desire. "Now I've got that weird taste in my mouth, you know? It's kinda like fluoride or something." Needless to say it did not taste good, and she quickly masked the taste as she began to chow down on the food in front of her. She was still paying attention, of course, but she kept it no secret that she was hungry right now.

Masae Kanegawa

Overall, the festival thus far had been pretty nice. Masae had a small bag with the collectibles that she had picked up from the various stalls she had visited, and it swung at her side as she walked through the halls of the school. She tried to not go overboard, but at these sorts of events it was impossible to keep from getting a few things. Though the food was more likely to vanish quicker than the other stuff.

She hadn't seen Aderyn around yet, and she hoped that the meeting she had planned was going well. Not that she had an idea as to why it wouldn't, given that her roommate was the sort of person who seemed to get along well with everyone who had gotten the opportunity o know her. It wasn't like she was meeting with strangers, so Masae was willing to give her the occasional thought without dwelling on it. She had plenty of other things to concern herself with.

All the while the clock continued to tick away. She'd talked with some of her friends when in passing, though she had stayed aloof for the most part so she could get some idea of what there all was in this place. She'd promised to link up with then in a bit, and that she would do. But now there were just a couple things that she wanted to check out on her own....

"Oh yeah, isn't there that quiz competition," she remembered with a snap of her fingers. That was something that would be worth checking out and competing in. She might not be the best at quiz bowl style activities, but if it was just a general quiz then she might be able to do fairly well at it. Then of course there was also the dance concert thing that was being put on, and she could hardly miss that.

For now though she headed towards the Computer Club room. At the very least she could see what time the competition was, and then plan out her schedule around that. Then she could decide whether to stick around or head for the concert. But overall, not a bad day so far.

The worst part about dying, after dying itself, was waking up from being dead. Barely had consciousness returned for her than did Tatiana collapse to the metal floor, coughing and resisting the urge to throw up right there. She felt like crap, her limbs hurt, and it definitely could have been a better time for her right now.

Such was life. She had died, and then they had stuffed her backed up consciousness in a new body, one with most of the memories she had had before. There might have been a few missing, but most of those involved exploding in one form or another and she wasn't too distraught about that. This clone body had been prepared with her own DNA< and was for all intents and purposes her, even if her last self was very much dead at this point.

Her muscles still burned, a result of being actually used rather than dosed up with all their needed nutrients and then held in stasis, but she found past it to rise to her feet. She was in a large room, rows after rows of tubes stacked on top of each other, most of which had a body floating inside. Motorized cranes rested nearby for retrieval, along with the equipment to remove a person from inside the tube and wake them up. Everyone here was a human, but she imagined that the other members of the Machina had their own facilities elsewhere.

At least she had clothes, though it was basically a white medical gown. That was first on her list of priorities, but following on that was the pangs of hunger that were starting to make themselves known with the pain she felt fading away. It probably had to do with only getting liquid nutrients or something, though she was used to it by this point. Once you died enough times, you started to adjust to the process.

"Stupid suicide bomb," Tatiana huffed as she started on her way out of the room, wincing against the cold metal of the floor. Really, why would the Angels have something like that, much less set it off inside their own base? Sure, she was only complaining because it was a pain to be reborn after dying but she figured it was a justified complaint. It wasn't like she had done much else in this battle that was worth complaining about. At least they had won the fight.

Regardless, priorities. First she'd get some clothes and then move on to the nearest cafeteria. She was going to load up a tray with as much food as she could fit on there and then eat until she couldn't eat anymore. She felt like she deserved that much.

Tartys

Tartys sat with an inner turmoil in her heart, masked to those who would look at her by a calm exterior as she sat in one of the many pavilions of Heaven tuning a guitar. it was a hobby of hers, and one that she was fairly good at. Not a virtuoso, but she could certainly be worse off in that regard.

With the outcome of the previous battle, she sorely needed the time to recover and to reflect. It was strange, that they had done so well in the fight to the point where the Demonic faction had been effectively eviscerated, yet somehow it was still a loss for them/ Even Alt Signia itself had fallen after the battle was over, a crippling blow even if it could not be seized by one of the other factions.

At least they had Miyu back, so that was a positive. Even with the whole trial bit following on that.

A soft sigh escaped as she strummed the strings, letting the sound ring out before reaching over to twist one of the many knobs at the end. With how it had ended, she could only reflect on her own role in the battle. She had fought well, but it felt like she had underperformed. Perhaps if she had done more, if she had fought harder, they would not have lost as badly as they had. Against the Machina there was always going to be a limit to how well they did, but it would be silly to argue that it was the demons who had won this battle. There was no reason they should have came out of this as well as they did.

After a few more minutes the guitar was tuned to her satisfaction, and a smile graced her lips as she strummed it and began to play. It was a slow melody, melancholic and full of the emotions that she felt right now. Sadness, her personal failings, and perhaps something to console if someone needed it.

"I saw the light, fade from the sky. On the wind I heard a sigh....."
Well, seems like it could be interesting to run with an idea like this. I'm on board
Tatiana Lorenz

While Tatiana had originally thought that the angel was unconscious or something, at a second glance it appeared she was actually dead after all. Really it was something of a miracle that she had gotten this far with such a bad head wound, but she supposed that if anyone would have access to miracles it would be Heaven. That was sort of their providence after all.

But it seemed that her companion had something else in mind, and Tatiana kept guard as Shizuka went about some sort of ritual on their now dead captive. There was some sort of haze at the edge of her sensor range, and she wasn't quite certain what it was, which left her on edge. Sure there was the truce in effect, but if they were discovered inside the Angelic stronghold who knew what would happen. There might just be an 'accident' or something like that, which she would prefer to avoid if she could. Now that they had come this far.

And then the mech exploded, some sort of suicide mechanism in the machine that was tied to her vital signs perhaps? It didn't seem that unreasonable. Unfortunately she didn't exactly have time to think about it. "Fuck."

Then she couldn't say anything else. Because she was dead. From standing next to an exploding fusion reactor.
