Alicia Hayden

Her shot landed home against the girl threatening Lily, much to Alicia's pleasure. It seemed her pinpoint accuracy was still serving her well, even if she did have the element of surprise on her side in that particular moment. It helped them turn the tables on her, letting Alicia turn her attention to the monsters that continued to threaten. At the very least she could help make some breathing room, if nothing else.

She could have sworn she saw Penny out of the corner of her eye, but did not see any indication of their ally joining the fight. Perhaps it had just been her imagination. She needed to stay focused on her own concerns, rather than the hope that she had come back from those recent events that had seen her run off with Thalia.

A goods thing too, as the situation rapidly changed. One of their numbers was taken by a sudden arrival, Alicia just barely getting to see that it was Lily before she vanished. That did more than annoy her, now she was angry. Both at the ones responsible and at herself. She had had the opportunity to learn more about what was going on, it had been right there in her grasp, and now it was gone. All because she had failed to act. Again.

If there was one upside it was that the numbers of their enemies were drastically reduced, lightning combining with water to strike down the rampaging hordes on the ground. Now they had that breathing room she had wanted, even if it was too late to matter. It was just about that time that she found she had company, a bird hanging around as she took out what flying enemies remained, and Alicia took care to not shoot her too in the process before it came to land on her shoulder. But she could easily hear the suggestion the familiar brought, her gaze narrowing as she focused in on Minnie. Well, she wanted to let out that aggression. Maybe it was time to do so.

"You know us Beckoners. We don't give up easily," she replied with a nod as she aimed her bow. She dug deep, drawing on her natural reserves and tapped even deeper than that, to the blood that laid beneath. She barely paused, barely gave time for incantation as she launched a burst of magic at Minnie, cutting loose with her barrage abilities. She would have multiple arrows coming at her at once with barely any pause between them, hammering streaks of light that flashed across the sky from her vantage point to the magical girl. And did it seem like the arrows were curving a bit, as if tracking their target? Perhaps. But now that there weren't any more interruptions from minions, she was going to apply as much pressure as she could to get the job done, no matter the cost to her in the process.

Finch

Finch was pleased to see at least one of his projectiles strike home, especially since he hadn't held up much hope of doing so against a bunch of Epics. But it seemed like the element of surprise paid off there.

Nonetheless the people thy had come to rescue were retrieved, and Finch squared off with the rest of the Alkahest against those who had shown up to fight as his boss made a pitch to them. It was very eloquent, generally speaking, But it didn't look like anyone was springing at the opportunity, and he wasn't too surprised. People didn't just switch sides on a dime, and their faith in the High probably hadn't been broken yet.

“I don't think they're going for it,” he said aloud as he remained motionless for now. His glass weapons were ready, but he knew better than to jump the gun on the rest of the organization. It wouldn't exactly paint a favorable impression as the newcomer, unless he got some benefit from doing so that they would have missed out on otherwise.

Behind all that he did notice something going on with the Epic that he had injured, though he wasn't sure what it was. Maybe she hadn't been as injured as it had appeared at first. But he was confident they could handle it, so for now it was just up to what Chrys wanted to do. Finch had the feeling that he could guess what the response would be.
Truly, love is a battlefield for Penny

A cool gaze swept the hall, a drink that was some shade of brown resting in the hand of the girl who sat near the back with feet kicked up onto one of the tables. She was proud of those feet, being the main instrument through which she held her current career. She was less proud of the drink, but it distracted from the occasional twinge of artificial muscles that plagued her these days. The damn things couldn't be perfect, but she had come to accept it. So long as they didn't let her down when she needed them.

Vivian Everett wouldn't consider herself a regular at this particular establishment but she'd been in similar ones before. They all generally were the same so she had adapted quickly and procured herself something to drink and skipped the food. It was practically like home already. Of course she was here because she wasn't at home, waiting for a job in a very metaphorical sense. You never knew when your schedule would pick up ads a Runner so she tried to work around it as best she could.

For now she was free to sip her drink and relax. Her Brainpal would keep an eye on things and make sure that she got any messages for job offers that might pop up, and make sure that she was sober enough to read them. Well, assuming it was a job that she wanted to be sober for. Some went a bit better when you had a bit of a buzz to really get your brain cells going. Stopped you from second guessing the stupidly reckless thing you were about to do.

Of course, the designer kit on the table with her feet was pretty impressive too. She'd had them outfitted with grav thrusters to prolong her jumps and keep her from breaking her legs on a fall. It didn't entirely eliminate the risk but it helped her do feats she couldn't otherwise, and the danger was part of the point. Why do the job if you were just going to be safe and boring about it?

Idly she checked the feed for the sports teams she was betting on while sipping her drink. She had bets riding on those, and for the moment there didn't seem to be anything happening here. Soon enough something would come her way, so she might as well get in what she could while she had the free time. "Could be a worse night," she mused aloud to herself. Now if only she could weedle some of the good brew out of Mavis rather than this thrown together stuff, and it would be complete
I'm looking forward to seeing how this ship mission goes with no one aboard to stop it

Name: Vivian Everett
Age: 27
Role: Solo
Story/History: Vivian was born an orphan, raised in some corporate provided orphanage that served as a tax haven. She grew up fairly independent, getting into trouble and making the streets her home since the corps didn't care very much. It was there that she discovered her passion for physical activity. Running, climbing, even fighting. In this dull world where she seemed to have no prospects it let her feel like she meant something, and had something to strive for..

But there were few prospects for an orphan besides menial labor at low wages, an endless existence of slums. She aspired for something greater, and ended up joining with K&O Security where she earned her place by her physical ability and physiological compatibility with augments. A short stint of training, and she went off to fight.

Service in the corp was...interesting. She did some guard duty, fought in some brush conflicts, things that she doesn't really talk about and that the corp probably doesn't want said. Eventually she left, or maybe she was fired. That's another thing she doesn't say. One way or another it ended, and now she has taken up shop in East 41 to make a living, and maybe aspire for something more.

These days she's a Runner. Drawing on her Sec experience, she delivers things that are a bit too important to pass over the Net, or to risk Feddie interception. She prides herself on efficiency, reliability, and like all good Runners, the difficulty of the route taken. She's not afraid of a tussle but has kept out of major heat for the most part. One can only wonder how long that will last.

Cyberware: Skeletal Bone Reinforcements - Metal woven in between her bones to make her tougher and more durable, as well as resistant to injury

Personal Computer - A remnant from her military service, Vivian has a computer implanted in her brain that lets her access files, read emails, keep track of her bank balance, keep time, manage her other cyberware, do situation analysis, scan enemies, stuff like that. It's not intense processing but it gets the job done

Spinal Augments - Another relic from military service, this is a package that affects her body chemistry, injecting stimulants in combat situations, reducing fatigue, and helping to address injuries in the short term so she can take a licking and keep on ticking longer than she has any right to.

Myomer Bundles - Vivian has had some of her muscles replaced with artificial muscles for combat use that give her increased strength and resistance to damage from blunt force and cutting.
Here it is then. I can provide more augment details if needed but I figured I should leave some room to grow

Definitely interested for this, though I can't really hammer out a CS at the moment. But I'll get you something soon
They're definitely interesting, to be sure. If I didn't have some long term plans brewing thanks to everyone else I might feel a bit inadequate right now
Crazy thing about to happen, pretty sure.
