Mourningstar

This was a bad idea, this was a horrible idea, this was a terrible idea.

She stared at Crispy from across the makeshift camp, listening to his rantings and ravings as she wondered just how loud here Mana Blade was. More than once the thought of just slitting his throat in his sleep had crossed her mind, but now was not the time for power plays, not yet. But staying near him was a bad, a horrible, a terrible idea. Thus when Torrent announced her leave Mourningstar was quick to follow. It would not be a permanent leave, but a good hunting trip would be good for everyone. "Torrent and I are going for a hunting trip! Everyone who wants to come with can do so, I imagine a lot of you are just as hungry as I am." She announced loudly as she scooped up a leaf with Lesser Force, gathering water on her way out so she could feel a little less dehydrated.

As she passed by one of these dew covered branches, Mourningstar had the sudden idea to snap one off and try to use it as a weapon. Mana Blade and Mana Shot were good, but they were much too costly to be using in active battle so much, what she really needed was a melee weapon. Being a mage was nice and all, but she needed a way to defend herself when she inevitably ran out of mana. So as she stared at the branch she "held" she focused on it and used Magic Analysis. There would be no mana in there obviously, it was a tree branch after all, but being able to understand what it was made of would be integral in imbuing the item with mana.
Hey there, I was wondering if this was still open for application?
Is this still open by any chance? I would be interested in joining if at all possible.

Should I roll for initiative

"It's okay, I wasn't here long." The hug got a little tighter, Ami easily seeing through her partner's lie. "Really I'm fine!" Her pout grew deeper, Tsuruga's limp struggles not even registering to her as she warmed her partner up. "C-Can we just go already? We don't need to bundle up when we're just going to transform anyway..." Ami practically growled as Tsuruga asked, but finally acquiesced and released her prey. For now.

"Alright, but after we're done tonight you're coming over for a sleepover! Or I'm coming over to your house. I'm not picky really." While it was worded as a demand, Tsuruga would know that really this was just a very aggressive request. Like most of the Dark Girls, Ami didn't exactly have any friends outside of the Detention Club, so she of course clung to them as tightly as possible, whenever possible. Regardless of Tsuruga's answer, Ami quickly transformed into her battle attire to crank up the heat even more. "I feel like tonight is gonna be a good night."

Tonight was not only a good night, it was quite possibly one of the best nights ever. "EAT FIRE!" A wave of flame swept through the street, incinerating several Nightmares that were chasing after the weak. More turned to her, ready to tear her limb from limb, more burned away in the fire of Knight. Something struck at her from behind, one of the humanoid ones, but it struck at mere air as the Black Knight ducked the blow and bisected the manlike shadow. "I don't know how this happened, but whoever did this is awesome!" She laughed and laughed, continuing her dance of death as she struck out at every nightmare in her path. A byproduct of this was that she happened to save a lot of people yeah, but she didn't really care about them.

She just cared about all the fun she was having right now.

Meanwhile, high above the city, someone watched with curiosity. Curiosity and amusement, a wry grin plastered on his face as he dangled his legs off the edge of the skyscraper. A snowball was tossed into the sky, yet it never fell. "Blood against blood, magic against magic, you're all so similar yet hate each other so much. I suppose it's the same no matter where you go." She was right to send him here, this place would be an excellent battlefield to learn of the Soul. A necklace was tossed into the sky, yet it never fell. "You Magical Girls will be so much fun. You have so many wonderful things, so many things that I want." A blade was tossed into the sky, yet it never fell. "...oh? Is that who I think it is? Hmm... no, not quite. Two related to the Dark Angel, but not quite her. I should go check on them."

And so The Silver Conqueror pushed himself off the edge, and leapt into the sky. Yet nothing fell.

"Yeah! Critical hit, the hero wins again!" She hadn't been expecting this to be so easy honestly, guess she came in at the tail end of the fight. But now was no time to celebrate, there was work to be done around these parts. Now the real question is what to save first? On the one hand, this ship was going down in flames hard, if she wanted to salvage anything from this she would need to be fast. On the other hand, there was a person dying and she knew how to save them. Well, she knew who could save them, she herself didn't have the medical knowledge or healing magic necessary to stabilize someone who is clearly dying-

"Hey! Get over here and help me out!" Yeah saving someone's life probably is a bit more important than all this cool technology she really wanted to loot. Hopefully some of it would stay intact enough for her to come back to. With a single silent tear at the thought of losing all this cool stuff, she turned to Arno with a cheery grin.

"No need to yell Arno. I know can help your friend here!" Zendrith struck a heroic pose, with a thumbs up and legs spread as she waited for praise. "Well, not me personally. But I know someone who can help and for free!" Clarification is good. "Anyways, there's this lady at the edge of the forest who patches people up at no cost. So we probably want to start heading over there as soon as possible."
My Application.

Prepare for heals.
Ami Murota

Ami stepped out of the shower with a troubled expression, the death of a Magical Girl weighing on her surprisingly heavily. Word had spread fast, a Magical Girl being killed was very big news. Nightmares just didn't have it in them to kill one, not unless it was an absolutely massive hoard, meaning only one thing. Something else had killed this child of the light, more specifically, someone else. It was absolutely unprecedented, it had everyone on edge, even the carefree Ami who rejoiced in bloodshed and carnage. While she wasn't worried about the killer coming after her, she had come to terms with her own mortality long ago when she first spilled blood, she was most certainly worried about the precedent this set from here on out. The Light Magical Girls would think it was the Dark Magical Girls who did this, that was guaranteed. With their holier than thou attitudes and prejudices against the Dark, they would automatically jump to the conclusion that one of them was the killer.

What worried her even more though, was that they might be right. Ami didn't want to have to kill one of her friends, not even in self defense. She finished getting dressed and exited the bathroom quickly, shaking her head as the heat from her body dried her off in quick order. As she reached into a bowl full of candy and pulled out some chocolate, something dawned on her. This was only the first killing. Even if she wasn't afraid of death, one of her friends could be next. "Fuck." She cursed under her breath as she threw the chocolate back into the bowl, slipping on her shoes and heading for the door.

As Ami opened the door, she quickly noticed Tsuruga sitting down waiting for her, her hand darted to her phone to check if any new messages were there. One from the president telling her it was time to work, none from Tsuruga. "Jeez Tsu, you need to call or something if you're gonna show up at my doorstep! I would've invited you in while I got ready." She pouted as she said this, wrapping Tsuruga in a warm hug as she pulled her up to her feet. "Now you're all cold and I gotta warm you up." Not that she was complaining, Ami loved nothing more than physical contact with close friends. Weird habit, but nobody minds a living heater on a cold winter night.

"Oh man... This is the best day ever." Indeed, today was the best day ever. Not only had she found a sick airship to loot for parts, but everyone on said airship was way too busy dealing with goblins to try and arrest her! And even if they weren't, it looked like the guys on the ship didn't even want to arrest her as far as she knew. Meaning she could come in and save everyone, sweeping them off their feet like a hero! And of course, you have to reward heroes when they save you, meaning she could get free stuff! Best. Day. Ever.

She ran up to the side of the ship, scrambling up as quickly as a trained acrobat as she grabbed whatever loose boards, vague handholds, and slivers of rope she could see as she ascended. Twas not even a minute later that she vaulted over the railing of the top deck, to bare witness to a Hobgoblin attacking an Erune and her small child! Gasp! "Worry not! The hero has arrived!"

Zen landed on the deck of the ship in a dramatic pose, doing a little spin as she flourished her pistols with a twirl, light shining off her white scales as she smiled a hero's smile. Ok, time for shooting now. Zen took aim at the Hobgoblin's arms, shooting several blasts of highly pressurized water in an attempt to cripple the monster and give the Erune a chance to counterattack. Then she went for the legs, seeking to remove it's mobility as quickly as possible.
