Weren't hamburgers called Liberty Sandwiches or something during the WWII era? Something about there being a town/village/city in Germany named Hamburg, and the Germans were all totes super evilz during that time so having something in America with a name similar to something in Germany was a no-no.

I like spinach salad. Sweet vedallia onion dressing is the best.

I hate looking for character pictures

If people can't piece together an image in their heads of what your character looks like despite you going into great detail is their fault, not yours.

As for those who can, don't stress about them not knowing your character's appearance down to the specific cellular structure of the fibers of their hair. It's perfectly okay to get a general idea of what a character looks like and then fill in the little gaps yourself. A lot more fun, from my experience.
