The Frogs do the Moist-ing for Sayuri so she can remain based !

After a fairly short panic and anxiety attack hidden in the confines of the staff bathroom, Yui resigned herself to finally come out, silently, and slide in softly onto one of the free seat by the window where one or two plants took a sun bath. The fairy went on to explain her deal and what all this was about, but a majority of the others did not believe it. Of course. It was already surprising enough that they even spoke to the flying little person, considering most adults wouldn't even entertain this type of practical joke.

Of course, this was no practical joke.

"I..." Yui began with a much too low tone, actually being spoken over by Shinobu's laughter and following speech.

"Actually, I think..." she began again, raising a finger forward this time but instantly retreating on herself when Emiko took over to chastise Kohaku on both the nature of the shows and also the need to actually help anyone in need. She was right, of course.

"Hummm!" Yui finally mustered to make a sound audible enough for people to actually notice her, hand closed into fists to give her the courage to do so. She softly walked forward towards the floating fairy and sat closer to her. "She's speaking the truth. You are, right?" Yui brought her index finger to the fairy to softly poke at her cheek, just to make suuuure she was really physical.

"So, hum.... let's say we were to accept your offer, right? If, hypothetically speaking, one of us had already been in a similar kind of boat, could - hypothetically , of course - but could that person have week ends... off...? she said with both fingers pointed against one another, thumbs up and lips pinched.
Froooooooooooogs.

Sayuri felt something happen as Homura was trying to grasp what was happening. It was a feeling she felt before... no, not a feeling - magic. She was being drained. So be it. Let them drain away, for they would discover that Sayuri had enough positivity for the whole lot of the Depression Club if they wanted it.

Her attention was fixed on Shatterscape, though, even as Nonsuch pitched in, probably trying to get a reaction out of them. Sayuri was glad she had accompanied her here, though. They were attracting a lot of attention and things to come were sure to be easier with support. Fight or not.

"Concessions?"

Kaeru was brought back to the discussion at end with Shatterscape first bit of monologuing. At first, Kaeru's whole face expression seemed to suggest surprise and awe at the discourse that was presented to them. it stayed like that until Shatterscape finished speaking, after which... Sayuri simply started laughing. A frank and honest laughter. The massive Frog behind her also seemed to actually accompany her in this, letting out amused croaking.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry... You mean to lecture me on the sanctity of 'sacred grounds' and 'shrines'? I'm sorry, but who made you this city's keepers if not yourselves - and for no other's benefice but your own selfish desires, too. Your grand discourse could be impressive - if it wasn't so sadly misguided and deluded! Let me tell you what this city is, apart from your 'sacred grounds'..."

Kaeru straightened up from her previous crouched position to launch an accusative finger at Shatterscape; "My Home!"

"You might hunt Miseria, but only to spread just as much misery and selfishness around you. I will be dead before I leave this town and it's citizens, which my family has been watching over for as long as memory serves, to decay under the rule of a few girls too weak minded to understand the definition of duty - or uphold their original promises!
A taunt, a threat, a challenge and, perhaps, a vow. All in one. Though regular Sayuri was indeed a ray of sunshine to those around her, it felt as if she had given up on the fallen magical girls. She saw them as nothing more than an added misery that fell on her home town. She knew the Miseria and it's dangers - she did not know what kind of permanent damage the Dark ones could possibly do, and so she treated them like another threat to protect the town from.

But the talks were ended right then and there. Kaeru felt it before she saw it, though it was all she needed. The massive frog behind her was already in motion, jumping forward. While in the air, Kaeru's magic enveloped it, twisting it's form in a way barely visible through the light of her magic covering the creature. The beam of Kriegspiel's magic found a target - but not the intended one. The Frog had changed to perhaps it's true intended form: as the dust settled, it was revealed the frog now stood on two legs. One of it's hand held a great Gong like a shield, which was what blocked the laser. The other held a great spear. From it's agape mouth flowed it's breath as it exhaled, rainbow in color and a great, longue tongue that whipped at the air.

"Bakegama!"

"Kero-kero!" it answered with a deep, cavernous croaking voice in agreement.

Kaeru jumped atop it's back, giving the briefest of look back at Nonsuch trusting she'd know what to do. With Homura already on the move and Kaeru about to leave, she'd hope Nonsuch might keep Shatterscape here busy from potentially coming after her. The now Yokai-looking frog then jumped high and towards the source of the attacker - aiming to thrust it's spear directly at Kriegspiel upon landing.
Light girls being Light girls, I was thinking of splitting up.

I feel like if this turns to full on fight it will also be easier to keep track of who's with who if it's different groups. :x

I'm coming for you, @LuckyBlackCat

Ahh... not again!

The lazy sunrays of an early morning crept into the small apartment under the sounds of breakfast being cooked as a petite Yui shuffled across the floor of her home, desperately looking for something. Through drawers, through the couch, the shelves and everything in between all while her partner - a plain looking man named Touma, with kindness and patience matching her own - smiled at what became a usual sight for him. He kept on preparing the breakfast, used to Yui being 'late' in the morning. In truth, although she was like that every other morning, Yui rarely actually arrived late at work. The fear of it happening was a testament to the importance and care she had for her work. Exactly the reason why Touma was smiling.

"Found them!"

A victorious Yui claimed out loud, holding her keys up high as she walked up to him, a look of satisfaction on her face. He gave her a kiss on the head before handing her a plate of a delicious looking breakfast complete with eggs, veggie, fruits and bread. "As you do every morning, honey. There you go."

"Ahh... you really are the best! Thanks." answered an embarrassed yet thankful Yui. Scenes like this had become the norm in Yui's life now and everyday she was thankful for this and everything else.

The breakfast was perfect. The commute to work happened without a hitch. She'd waved and said 'Good Morning!' to any colleagues and students she had met on her way to and in school - indeed arriving more than on time, as usual. As the botanical teacher entered the staff bathroom, she saw Kohaku come out of it and greeted her with her usual warm smile and polite bow of the head.

Meanwhile, in the staff room, a commotion unknown to Yui was happening. Caused by an unusual visitor in the form of a small, fairy-like looking flying humanoid.

"Heyyyy, you've gotta help!" Her squeaky voice cut through the stunned silence. "Someone's in trouble!"

Some of her colleagues reacted with befuddlement, such as Kohaku. Most of the others surprisingly kept a level head and worried about the possible kid in trouble - which was totally commendable. Amber - being Amber - did not even seem to notice the annoying dragonfly agitating her tiny arms. As for Yui?

She came out of the bathroom to this whole scene just as everyone waited for the little fairy to answer. She held her cup of coffee, the satisfied smile of a perfect morning still on her lips, eyes semi-closed in contentment. Her head slowly shifted from her colleagues to the small levitating fairy knowing exactly what this was about. Just as slowly and silently as she entered the room, she slowly shifted back into the bathroom, the expression on her face not moving an inch.

No. Not again.
I thought Shatterscape just kind of teleported to a new body near Homura and was speaking to her on the roof.

if you change your post, does it mean I have to change mine where I talk to you? @Emeth

Sayuri was happy to see that Nonsuch was actually just as prone to open displays of affection as she herself was. As soon as the hammer-wielding girl came in for hug it was returned in kind. Truth be told, Kaeru did not exactly know on which foot to dance with her seldom companion. Although she did not say anything this time, the way Nonsuch treated the hunt for Miseria and the people they'd save... it had Kaeru worried. Still, in the moment none of those worries came out and she followed suit and gave a pose for the selfie, holding two fingers up and a large smile.

She'd turn to the ugly flying monstrosity that was - against all odds - not Miseria and gave it a joyful grimace before Nonsuch ended it. By this point, both girls knew of those and the eyes' master; Evil Eye. As it turn out, Kaeru had a number of previous run-ins with members of the Detention Club here and there. They did live in the same city and hunted for the same monsters, after all, so this was not too surprising. They so far usually tried to stay out of each others way, but maybe this was about to change.

Tonight felt different, somehow.

"You say that..." Sayuri answered to Nonsuch's comment about their fallen counterparts "...but I feel like they spread more misery than the Miseria itself sometimes." she sighed. "Also, I am feeling something weird. Something...new. And maybe it has something to do with...that?" just as she said that, the frog underneath her hat peeked out to look up at the same thing Sayuri saw; an arrow? Whatever it was.

Sayuri suddenly had a mischievous smile. "What say you we go and poke the hornets nest?" Sayur picked up the frog on her head and set it down, waving a finger at it just like a parent to a young child "You're too small for what's to come, sorry." and Nonsuch would feel her channel her magic as she impressively enough jumped all the way back onto her giant Frog, ready to move.

-----------

An invitation to 'get on the frog' would have been extended to Nonsuch, but whether or not she decided to take it or use her own means of transportation was up to her, as always. Or whether or not she accompanied Kaeru at all, actually. However, even if she would not, the Frog Maiden's instincts and feelings were too strong to not give in to her curiosity and seek them out.

It wasn't long after that, on the very same rooftop where Shatterscape was now confronting the new comer, a large shadow could be seen diving past them, cast under the moonlit sky. A loud thump would shake the rooftop behind them, answering Shatterscape's own tremor almost. Kaeru had jumped off of her summon mid air, and landed on the roof between the large frog and the two magical girls.

"Ahh, you are part of Rei's Depression Club are you not?" She said while eyeing the impressive Shatterscape from top to bottom, but if she was worried it was unreadable in her eyes or demeanor. Kaeru senses were focused on the girl behind, though. The newcomer. "Keep your very large and angry metal hands off of this girl - she's with us."

"Don't mind them - their manners are dreadful. You can call me Kaeru, by the way!" she said as she leaned to the right to actually see Homura and give her a wide smile and a little wave of the hand.
