Chas was relieved when John said he managed to find the crystals and gems in the box, glad that his sheer educated guess did prove to be correct. As John jumped down and landed in front of Serena, he shook his head at the question, "no" he replied before listening to what John was saying about charging the crystal as he wrapped Serena's hands round it. "right, I'll keep trying" he then said, and continued to try and wake Serena, not particularly wanting John to completely drain himself yet again after he hadn't long recovered from the last lot of problems. "come on Serena.. Ya gotta wake up for us" he said to the girl in the chair, refusing to give up on her. Kay wanted to help and went to get up from the couch but as John said, she was tapped out and found herself falling back onto the couch. "is there any way I can help from here?" she asked them both. Chas could barely even acknowledge Kay's attempt to stand up as he was too focused on trying to wake Serena. He felt slightly uncaring and rude for not truly acknowledging Kay's state but right now, in his mind it was far more important to see to Serena than it was Kay.
Chas let John check Serena over and try to stir Serena around but it was to no avail, as she just wouldn't wake up. He nodded at his mate's suggestion and continued to try and wake her up, seeing how much she was shaking and how her breathing was erratic but weak. "Serena, you need to wake up" he said over and over again, trying every now and then to ge tly shake her awake as he spoke, whilst Kay watched on worried. Both of them heard the racket John was creating upstairs as he rummaged through his stuff to find what he needed, before hearing call down for Chas with a question. "I don't know! Only you understand your method for storing things! You tried the cabinet under the left hand side bookshelf?" he replied, before giving some kind of suggestion to where the box of gems and crystals could be kept.

Kay stayed out of the way as the guys tried to help Serena again. She hoped the woman would be okay and would come round, feeling like if she hadn't stayed out for her sake to get her a phone, this wouldn't have happened. She didn't know how she could possibly help them in helping Serena, so she stayed on the couch watching on helplessly. She just hoped it wouldn't take so juvh out of John again to do so, like it did before.
Chas smiled at her thanks, "its okay. We swore to help you and that's what we're gonna do. You did really well, not many people could have held him off for as long as you did" he told her truthfully. He didn't mind the shadows swirling around her in his arms to be protective and keep them from being jumped out of nowhere again. Kay held onto John as he insisted on picking her up and carrying her back to the house, nodding at his words and doing as he suggested by taking deep breaths. Normally she hated being carried but right now she wasn't going to complain as she was actually thankful for it, and even more tha kful when they got back to the house and getting inside. She gladly sat down on the couch, propping her head up with her hand and elbow on the armrest as she too was curious about how Serena was.

Chas looked down at Serena, "Serena? We're back" he said, hoping she hadn't fallen asleep but the moment she didn't answer he looked at John worried. "I'm not sure she was looking in a bad way on the way back. Shaking, barely able to stay awake and now she won't wake up" he answered, putting her down on the other chair, knowing he'd have to tend to that shoulder as well as trying to wake her up again.
Chas rubbed her back as he walked with her to the other two. "I know it's hard Serena but we'll be home soon, I promise" he told her, as John replied to Kay first before checking ON Serena. He agreed that it was incredibly brave of Serena to try and hold off a demon that powerful on her own, risking her very life in the process which made him so much more glad that they came when she told them not to. He tucked his arms under her and lifted her up so she didn't have to try and walk back when she was shaking so vigorously from the attack. He started the walk back, getting the tiniest bit ahead of John and Kay, knowing it was imperitive that they got Serena back and under the safety of John's house. Kay nodded at John's question, "yeah I'm fine, a little tired but okay" she replied to him. She didn't even know how she managed to pull off what she did, wo sering if it was a case of Fee helping her in some way as she had never been able to set her hands alight before and certainly not by will.

"I just wanna go back to your place and get Serena back." she added, leaning against him slightly as she began walking behind Chas and Serena. She had no idea if she truly had a right to lean against him like she was, but she was too tired to truly care. She had known the guy for less than 24hours and here she was leaning on him. She never would have done that to someone before. It had been some seriously crazy twenty four hours, that much was certain.
Chas couldn't help but chuckle at Serena's remark, he kept ahold of her as he got her into an alcove in the alleyway and kept her safe whilst Kay and John took care of the demon. "don't worry about that now, just try and stay awake for me so I know you're okay" he told her, his paternal side coming into play. He quickly shuffled out of his jacket and wrapped it round Serena to try and keep her warm, keeping a firm but not painful hold on her as he looked out at John and Kay. He watched on as John stood in front of Kay, before starting to open the portal to Hell to send it back. Kay looked at John and nodded one firm nod before glancing back at the demon and ignited her hands once more, blasting the demon toward the portal as hard as she could, making it fall into the portal with great resistance and some last words, "Hell will have her John! She'll be The First's weapon!!" before he disappeared.

Kay extinguished her hands and was breathing slightly heavy from being worn out. She was still new to what she was capable of power wise and it was taking a lot out of her. Yet the demons words haunted her massively. "w...what did he mean by I'll be The First's weapon?" she asked John. She didn't want to be anyone's living weapon, she just wanted to be her. To life a relatively normal life whilst learning to accept what she was. With the demon gone, Chas brought himself and Serena back out of the alcove and over to John and Kay. "John..this is so much bigger than we thought"he remarked somberly.
Kay ran out with the two men and after the shadow raven, managing to somehow keep up with them all, glad that she had spent so much of her life running. They had to have been running for a few minutes before they reached the alleyway that Serena was in with the demon and being drained. Seeing the demon draining Serena of her aura in that manner just made Kay see red. She got so angry at what she was seeing that she herself fou d herself getting her hands igniting in flames. "keep away from her!" she sneered, following up John's attack with her own to the demon. John was right when he told her she had to stop running from what was coming for her, and it was only now, with Serena getting attacked that she was truly seeing and accepting that. Chas, whilst the other two were distracting the demon, ran to Serena, kneeling down to pick her up off the floor. "they got this, let's get you to a safe spot" he told her, trying to get her to out of the conflict zone.

Kay knew now there was so much more at stake than just herself and if these people were willing to help her get a chance at knowing exactly who she was, then she was going to help them when they needed it. She saw as the demon went for her with a smirk that showed her it was her he wanted all along. She went to throw another blast of phoenix flame at him but saw him dodge it. "shit" she cursed, going on the defense as quickly as she could. "you want me? Keep them out of it!" she sneered at the demon.
Kay was glad that one of them was on her side over it all and agreeing to find Serena to help her out. She pulled on her jacket as she nodded at John's words, before glancing at Chas for an answer about Serena's whereabouts. "I can try and track her phone on the way or her shadow raven could just lead us" Chas replied, knowing which of those two things would be by far the fastest option. Tracking someone's phone would take time, time that they probably didn't have, but if it was the only way, he would hand his phone to John whilst he drove to make John guide him via the tracking. "but other than that no idea. She said about heading to where she held up most of the time to grab some of her belongings from there after picking up Kay a phone, so she could be anywhere in the main city" Chas then added straight after.

Kay looked at the shadow raven that was still around them, knowing that that raven would have had to come from Serena and so it would have to know where she was. "I say we hope this raven shadow leads us. It's the best choice we got" she suggested. Sure, she could have let Fee take over and fly overheard to get a birds eye view of the area to a certain extent, but that would just out a massive red marker on her which they also couldn't risk. Not to mention she hadn't ever done that before so she had no idea if that would even work. "either way we need to be fast" she added.
Kay let Chas tell John everything that he missed which he pretty much summed up in saying where Serena was. He also went into detail about how Serena was convinced she's found the right thing when it came to burning Kay's bag before finding something else that meant they needed to set a trap. This was news to Kay as well as she really wasn't listening when they had the conversation initially and was about to ask something when the door burst open and a shadow raven was flying around frantically, clearly distressed. She stood up out of instinct when she could feel that danger was possibly nearby, before remembering she mustn't run. Not this time. Chas pulle dout his phone from his jeans pocket and looked at the text that came through. Looking toward John and Kay he spoke up, "Serena says she's being tailed by someone and not to leave the house as she's trying to lose them" he explained.

"Like hell I'm not leaving, she's in trouble, we have to help her" Kay said, she knew she probably should stay put if it was someone or something tailing Serena to find the house and possibly her, but she also didn't like the idea of Serena being in trouble. "I'm not sure you leaving the place is a good idea. It's bad ENOUGH Serena is being tailed, we don't need to risk you getting into trouble as well" Chas replied to her, but he could see Kay was already putting on her last pair of socks and boots, making him sigh and pinch the bridge of his nose. "there's no stopping you is there?" he asked, "no. There isn't. She saved my arse now it's time I return the favour" Kay stated stubbornly.
Chas read the note and smiled to himself thinking how nice it was of her for go buy a phone for Kay. It was only when he read it that he truly realised he never did see a phone in that little pile of belongings from her bag. He sure the others bits but never a phone which now he thought about it, did think it was pretty odd for a theory something woman not to have. Then the logical side of his mind kicked in and figured she may have either lost it being homeless, traded it for something to survive or purposely dumped it somewhere. His guess was the middle option but it wasn't something he was going to bring up if she didn't want to talk with him whilst she was clearly engrossed in what she was doing. So instead he brought in the bags and placed them in the kitchen on the table, before walking through as John woke up groaning then spotting Kay on the floor next to him. "you actually got some bloody sleep for a change after Kay healed you up from going one round with a spirit that was tracking Kay.. Remember?" he reminded him, even though he could see John clearly smiling at Kay.

"hey" she replied, taking her hand back after realising it was on his the entire time as he slept. "you err..started sleeping bad..so I just stayed here just incase you fell off the couch or something" she told him, making up any excuse she could, that was threaded through some truth. She closed her small little sketchbook and put it on top of her things that were still on the floor, without her bag. "Serena went out to get some stuff for herself and Kay, her shadows have already brought back some of the bags but she's got a couple of other bits to pick up then she'll be back" Chas cut in to explain why one of the women wasn't there before John could notice and ask.
Chas took her phone from her when she handed it to him and instantly tapped in his number, saving it in her contacts under his name and handed it back to her after she put her jacket on. He glanced down over the balcony when Serena did and saw how Kay and John were, smirking to himself as he had never seen his friend look that calm when sleeping. The hand holding having also not gone unnoticed on him as Kay continued to sketch with her free hand. At the sound of her name being called, Kay looked up and nodded, "please!" she replied as Serena walked down stairs and with the help of her shadows, gave her a pen and paper to write down a list, which she gladly did including mundane things like a new toothbrush and toothpaste, and as her pencil was proving to be rather small now, she even added a new pack of standard graphite pencils. She did need more clothes but she would prefer to go out herself to find some whenever she could as she was incredibly fussy about what she wore, so she instead thought of the other things such as deodorant, towel and wash cloth along with general shower supplies.

Chas shook his head when he was asked, having only brought in more food and drinks for the kitchen earlier as he was passing the shop on his way from the school run. "nah I'm good. And when it comes to Sleeping Beauty over there I got him some supplies on my way here this morning. So he'll be fine as well" he explained smirking to himself. When Kay was done writing down what she wanted, she handed Serena her list with a thanks for picking it all up for her. She then went back to her little sketch which started to take shape of a figure taking flight in front of the sun. Being that it was in her standard pencil it was hard to tell if it would be a sunset or sunrise she was getting across but she didn't care.
