Kay simply nodded at his words about being okay and how he'd been through worse than just fainting which wasn't entirely surprising to her in the slightest. "that somehow doesn't surprise me" she smirked ever so slightly. The smirk disappeared however when he spoke back at her ramblings about her own life, telling her he and the others would notice, as would the world. What he said felt incredibly cheesy, but it meant something to her nonetheless. It was only as she looked down and went to speak back that she truly realise that he was holding her hand. "thanks John...it was incredibly corny and cheesy what you said but it did mean a lot hearing that. I guess I'm just feeling done with only really existing and surviving and not being able to truly live, if that even makes any ounce of sense to you?" she replied honestly. "I just don't want to be alone anymore, I'm tired of having my walls up constantly, and I have no idea why I'm pouring my heart out to you like this" she added with a soft half snigger.

Chas didn't initially notice that Serena was crying until he looked over as he heard her muttering to herself. "hey, you okay? You know you don't have to play the hard tough girl the whole time around us right? It's okay to break down in this place, none of us will judge you for it. John has had his fair share of break downs ya know. Not to mention the fact I'm a dad, so I'm a good listener if you wanna chat" he softly told her. "what I'm basically trying to say is that you're not alone. It really is true when they say a problem shared is a problem halved. You're safe here. You both are. Neither myself or John will let either of you be taken to Hell for any reason." he added. "so how about you take a long bath in the bathroom whilst you can? Truly relax now you got proper supplies?" he suggested.

Chas couldn't help but smirk at John's first words as he came round once more before throwing the chocolate onto John's chest in a way that said 'eat'. Kay couldn't help but find it amusing as well at the way he reacted when he woke up, she looked at Serena and nodded, "got it" she replied to her as Serena exited the main room and went into the kitchen. She slapped his arm after John apologised and insisted he was okay, "don't bloody scare me like that!" she scolded before sighing, "but I'm glad you're okay" she said in a much softer tone. She was still trying to digest everything that had happened in the last 24 hours as it was a lot to acknowledge and accept. She had no idea that Serena was still struggling in the kitchen to some idea as her focus was solely on John and in some ways, Chas.

She remained on the floor by the couch the entire time, not wanting to leave where she was. Chas then remembered about the supplies and decided to head to the kitchen to grab them. "I'll err..go check on Serena" he said, swiftly exiting the room. Kay fell into a silence but not an awkward one. It was simply a comfortable silence as she glanced down at the floor where her belongings still remained, out of a bag. "Looking at my life laid out like this is seriously depressing. Makes me realise how little I have to my name. How if I truly died for good, I have nothing to make me think anyone would even miss me. Or even know I was gone" she said after the silence. It of course wasn't entirely true, she did have her adoptive family but they weren't in her life anymore due to her choice of wanting to keep them safe and out of this shit show that was this world of supernatural beings and mythical creatures. She didn't want to risk getting her only form of family killed because she was near them. Which these last 24 hours showed her just how easily those who she could let in, would be killed because of her, or more precisely, the need for her. She was trying so hard mentally not to let these people in, to keep them at arm's length but she couldn't do it. Now here she was wondering why she feels like a teenage girl with her first crush around John.

The moment Serena came over and checked John over, confirming that he was indeed okay and not indeed of any other kind of help apart from the simple moves of lifting his legs and giving him a moment to wake up, then making him eat something, Kay felt overwhelmed with relief. Chas nodded and did as he was instructed to do, lifting his legs up slightly,propping them up on the armrest so they were just bit higher than his head. He even used a cushion under his feet to give that extra little bit of height, which he figured was helping as he heard his best mate groan. Kay didn't waste any time in doing as Serena suggested to her, "John wake up, you're alright and just fainted but you need to wake up." she spoke to him, despite her words, her tone was actually quite soft. She noticed how pale he looked from fainting and knew he definitely needed something sugary in him to bring his blood sugars back up.

"I'll grab him something to eat. I know where his secret stash of dark chocolate is, even if he thinks I don't know" Chas said with a smug smirk and tone to his voice, knowing it'd be the perfect thing for him to eat when John stirred. He walked into the kitchen and went straight to the cupboard under the sink, where he reached his arm round to the left and pulled out John's box where he stashed the chocolate. He knew his mate wasn't a massive sweet tooth but he did always know about his appreciation for decent chocolate and not the cheap stuff. It was only when he walked back through the kitchen and to the girls and John, that he realised all the girl's stuff was still on the kitchen table. Making it back to John, he opened one of the bars of chocolate and wafted it in front of his nose as Kay continued to talk to him to wake him up. He couldn't help but notice how Kay was around his mate and had to wonder if Kay had any kind of crush on his mate, not that he would be surprised by it as it seemed anyone and everyone found John attractive and it was no real secret he liked to sleep around with anyone who would have him. Even if there was no emotional attachment to his past notches on the metaphorical bed post. He wasn't going to say anything but it just seemed crazy to him that someone they just meant was so adamant on helping John to the point of putting their life on the line for it. He also thought it wasn't very discreet how much softer she was when hesitantly going for John's hand or talking to him and vise versa.

There was a relief to Kay and Chas when Serena agreed to remain linked to Bane and keep on fighting instead of just simply giving up. As John spoke up after Bane joined once more with Serena, Kay quickly saw how uneasy John was. "John?" she asked cautiously, and like Serena did, she quickly went to grab him as he fell forward, as did Chas. "John?! John don't you bloody well dare mate!" he cursed him, lifting his friend up and carrying him to the couch where he laid him down. Kay followed as it was a mere two steps to do so from where she was. "does this guy do this a lot?" she asked Chas, who gave a shrug in return, "yes and no. Depends on the situation. He's usually better than this though and stronger, it makes no sense to me with this situation" he explained, running his hand through his hair clearly looking confused and almost paniced over the situation. Kay nodded slowly and took JOhn's hand, hoping there would be a way to help him once again even though she was weak herself by this point.

"Kay don't you bloody dare do anything reckless, you're still learning about what you can do and you're not even fully linked with Fee yet." Chas warned her, but Kay just simply looked at Chas with almost daggers in her eyes, not toward him, but more toward his words. "and I need him to help me to do that! I have never let someone just die or go through something tough alone and I'm not about to start now! If I'm truly a phoenix then if I go too far then I'll just get reborn right? That's what the bloody firebird is all about.... rebirth? So whose to say I can't help John right now?" she countered, which made Chas go silent as he really didn't have an answer for what she said. "Serena, is there a way you can help me?" she asked.

Before anyone could even say anything else, Bane in his wolf spirit shadow form appeared and spoke with Serena telling her to accept help. Kay watched on as she rubbed her temples S she tried to put some of the missing pieces to the gethrr of the time she seemed to have lost but couldn't figure it out. She hoped when Serena got her full help from Bane that things would be explained to her. She saw how weak John as yet again which made her scooched closer to check on him. Chas nodded at Serena's question, "you was yeah, throwing the water on you was our only way of waking you up. Or John would have passed out from channeling the energy to give to you. Not only that Fee risked Kay to get Bane here to help save you" he explained, which now made all the pieces begin to fall into place for Kay also. "so please accept his help and link to him again" he requested.

Chas nodded suddenly understanding what John was meaning. He jumped up and grabbed some ice from the freezer, putting it in a jug and proceeding to fill it up with cold water. He hoped it would be cold enough and that if this worked Serena and Fee would forgive them for doing such a crude wake up call. He rushed back to them all, being careful not to trip over Kay or John. Holding his breath, he mentally asked for forgiveness from Serena and Fee and chucked the jug of ice water all over her.

As Chas was obtaining the water Fee was listening to what Bane had to say and tilted her head in a nod before looking back at him. "thank you" she replied, and was ready to leave when she felt Serena's body get ice cold making her leave abruptly with a screech similar to that of an eagle's screech as they soar into the sky. She flew above them and glared at Chas momentarily, seeing why she felt the cold sensation. She swirled round Serena then John, close enough he'd feel her touch his skin and contrary to her firey appearance it wouldn't burn or hurt him, instead feel like a bird's feathers, before hovering over Kay's body. "Bane will help" she simply told them before dissipating back into Kay's body, making Kay wake and groan, feeling dazed and confused. "w..what happened?" she asked, feeling like she lost time yet again. She had no idea how close Fee got to John or even why Fee would do such an act as Fee normally wasn't trusting of anyone. Yet unbeknown to them all, they'd soon find out that Fee does everything for a reason, but those reasons will only show themselves when it's time.

Fee heard the alpha wolf before seeing it appear and listened to what Bane had to say for himself. "she is trying to fight on the outside. How can we help to reform the link between you and your vessel?" she asked him. "But I can't stay from my own vessel for long. She's already dying to be reborn as we speak. Those humans on the outside won't let your Serena die on them. They are stubborn fools but kind. They seem to truly worry about what happens to our girls and want them safe." she also told him.

Chas stared at John like he was utterly insane. "you sure that's a good idea? I mean.. She's a bloody phoenix. We don't know what that would do to her or Fee whose not even connected to her right now. We've both seen what cold does to Kay, now you wanna risk waking her when she's not attached to half of her soul?" he questioned his friend's motives and ideas, thinking it was an awful idea. He would do it if he really had to, but he was highly dubious about the idea. The sparks of flames weren't getting any bigger at this stage, but they also were not going away. Small burn holes started to appear in her clothing, yet her skin was going untouched.

"just make sure she doesn't get into trouble. If this goes wrong it could be highly dangerous for Kay. I've not been separated from her ever before" Fee explained to him, but did start her idea. Kay's body slumped onto the ground as Fee as a burning flame, in the form of a bird escaped her body. Seconds after she shot up through John's chimney then back straight down to get the momentum before entering Serena to seek the answers they so desperately needed. She hunted for Bane in the girl's soul, remembering that the woman said she was just a mere vessel for the Shadow of the Moon. "Bane! I seek your counsel! Your vessel is dying and it is not her time to go yet. You must fight for this vessel to remain on the earthly plain!" she called through, feeling the pull of Kay's body needing her back but kept pushing she did.

Kay's body remained lifeless looking on the floor, her eyes remaining open and firey, but soulless. Her body moving ever so slightly to show she still had breath inside her to keep her alive. Yet if it wasn't for her breathing she would look all but dead. The longer Fee stayed out of her own vessel, the more Kay's body started to deteriorate, getting paler and paler. Tiny flames started to spark and seemingly dance round her body as if it was thinking it needed to be reborn if Fee didn't make it back soon. Chas glanced between the girls before focusing on Serena, "come on Serena, you need to fight and open your eyes. It's now or never" he said, keeping some kind of hold on her. It was then he saw the sparks of flames coming from Kay, "John...Kay can't be away from Fee for much longer" he said.

Kay listened to what John as saying, thinking if he's rusty with his myths and the one surrounding Serena in particular then it must be just as rare as the phoenix lore. She saw how much it was taking from John, making her get up even though she was worn out. She stumbled across and sat on the floor, placing her hands on John's back for support. She wished Fee would just help them out and not be stubborn. Chas looked down at Serena as she started to stir just a little bit, seeing her shaking was still bad but was getting less violent. "I think so yeah, her shaking is less violent" he replied, before glancing at Kay and seeing her eyes roll back into her head, just leaving an orange flickering void. "Kay??" he asked, "Not Kay.. Fee. John you gave me an idea with what you said. I can attempt to contact Bane, but I must leave Kay's body to do so" she spoke. Fee had made Kay's consciousness fall into a slumber so she didn't have a clue that any of this conversation was even being had, a way that she preferred it as Fee knew Kay would lose her utter shit over this. They hadn't been apart since she was a child, so Fee didn't know what would happen or could happen to Kay. She did know it was highly dangerous however if it went terribly wrong, but knew it could be done.

Kay pondered John's question for a second before realising that yes, Fee was indeed still awake. "yeah she is, I'll see what can be figured out by her" she replied, closing her eyes and trying to get Fee to talk to her. Unfortunately Fee had no real answers other than to leave her alone as she was done being used for the day. It was snarky but so eloquently put that Kay couldn't even be angry at her for it. She reopened her eyes and looked at the three of them, "she won't talk, says she has nothing and she isn't doing anything else" she replied. Chas rolled his eyes in annoyance at how little Fee was helping them, as unlike Kay, he couldn't hear exactly how it was put or see why Fee was being uncooperative. Chas looked at John when he asked him to hear again what Serena previously said what she was. He tried to remember the exact wording and when he remembered he replied, "she said and I quote, 'am blessed by the Shadow of the moon...a beast spirit that controls shadows and the night.' something to do with she was the vessel of the being known as Nyx" he explained as vest he could. "that mean anything to you?" he asked John.

"she said something about her power that she was blessed with was what she was hunted for as well, but she didn't say much else when we asked her about it" Kay spoke up, adding some more context, even though it wasn't much.
