Chas laid her in the bed and pulled the duvet up and over her, practically tucking her in as if he was tucking his kid in, before leaving the room, leaving the door a jar just like he did the night before. He figured Serena would prefer it if the door wasn't fully closed, and her shadows would appreciate it as well.

Kay didn't believe him when he said he worked better if someone was nearby but she appreciated the sentiment nonetheless, nodding. "thanks, think I will" she replied to him, standing up, "you're an alright bloke John" she smiled to him, patting his shoulder before walking back to the couch, just as Chas re entered the room. "right you two, I've put Serena to bed and left the door ajar so if she needs either of you you'll hear her and vise versa" he explained. "make sure you both get some rest as well yeah? I don't wanna be coming here tomorrow to find I have to nag you two to rest up as well" he smirked.
Chas followed John in as his assumption of Kay giving them the getsure for using the spell and forcing her to rest proved absolutely correct. He let John and Kay tell her that it was going to be okay and alright, but she did need to agree to rest before she crashed anyway. As John told him to move behind her, getting ready to catch Serena. He watched as the spell took hold of her and as she fell to the side, he quickly grabbed her and held her. "I'm gonna take her to the room she slept in last night" he told them both, making Kay nod before Chas did indeed leave the room and take her to bed.

Kay sighed when Chas left with Serena's sleeping body, "I feel bad having to force her to sleep but I know it's for the best" she told John. "I just hope she'll forgive us for doing it" she added. She k ew she had to rest herself, but after everything she didn't particularly want to be alone, especially after she knew if she slept alone she had nightmares.
Kay was glad that Serena was willing to listen to her say her bit, and even let her take her hand, which she didn't often to. She let Serena reply to her, explain her side of things, nodding in understanding as to why she didn't want to stop researching but still felt like it was a case of Serena being stubborn as ever, even though there was a blantant hint that she had already lost someone due to falling asleep and letting her guard down. "I get that Serena, I do. It's why I left my family, to keep them safe from whatever is coming after me, or wanting me as a weapon but I need you to rest and recoop so you're on your top game if you're to keep me safe. SO I'm begging you to please get some rest" she said, knowing it was pointless in begging her.

Chas waited as Kay tried to get through to the other woman, before turning to John and the theory making sense to him. SHe did in fact say she had a boyfriend but nothing about his whereabouts currently. "That would make sense" he replied, "and I'd say wait for her cue, which I think you're getting now" he replied to him, nodding his head toward the kitchen where Kay was discreetly using her free hand to gesture to John to do it now by swirling her finger round in a circular motion and pointing at Serena. "SO I'm sorry for this, I hope you can forgive me but it's for the best for everyone in this house and most importantly you" she said to Serena, letting john take over and make Serena get to sleep.
Kay and Chas both nodded at the plan, before Kay decided to walk into the kitchen to see Serena pacing and rubbing her temples from her headache, which she was convinced would turn into a migraine if she didn't get any rest soon. "hey..." she said softly, gesturing for her to sit down at the table with her, as shesat down herself. "Look, I know you're being stubborn about taking some time out to rest but just listen to me for a moment yeah?" she asked of her, before going into her story. "I get why you don't wanna rest. More than anyone in this house realises. I've tried staying awake constantly so my guard wasn't dropped and lost. But Serena, it doesn't work, trust me, it really doesn't. Bane is only asking you to rest because he's worried about your well-being and so are we. I once stayed up and awake for as long I could, made it four days but in those four days I became more and more delirious and wobbly on my feet. I got migraines, blurry vision, and more and more unsteady on my feet. People passing me thought I was a drunk in the street despite not having any alcohol in my hand. By the fourth day I was walking down a street in the main town and I passed right out. Just dropped to the floor, hitting the concrete floor hard." she began telling the story.

"When I came round I was in a hospital bed with tubes in me as I was put on an iv drip to bring me back round, raise my sugar levels and everything else. Nurses tried to refuse to let me discharge myself, and it resulted in me having to sneak out. What I didn't know until I passed an off liscence was that I had been in the hospital for two days just sleeping. Because of my stubbornness wanting to stay awake so my guard didn't drop, I ended up in hospital and still putting myself and everyone in that building at risk anyway. So long story short, it's not worth being stubborn over. I'm begging you as a friend Serena to please get some rest. I'm with John and Chas, and when you're asleep those two wont let me out of their sight to keep me safe. I won't be able to live with myself if you cause yourself more problems for not sleeping. If I need you I promise I will wake you" SHe reasoned, putting emphasis on the word 'promise'.
Chas could see that John was actually using his moral compass on this one and not doing what he thought was the right thing to do out of being hot headed and thinking he knew best. Kay could also see how reluctant he was to do such a thing, which she did have to give him a lot of credit and admiration for. Kay also looked and watched as Serena walked away to the kitchen, waving off their words of concern and worry for her whilst listening to John's words, which she also understood. Hell, she understood it more than the two men probably did, having spent many a nights sometimes not sleeping and trying to stay awake for as long as she possibly could before her body just gave up on her. If she had truly thought about it, she probably would realise that the longest she went was four days which by that point she quite literally passed out in the middle of the street, causing havoc around everyone who in the area and ended up in hospital, much to her dismay and annoyance. So she did honestly understand what it was like to not want to go to sleep and feel like her guard was down.

Chas was in two minds about John making her sleep via magic, but he did think if it was truly the only way to go, then they'd have no choice and as Serena was acting at the moment, it was getting increasingly closer to that option. "I think you're gonna have to mate. I get why she doesn't want to but we might have no choice" Chas replied to him, before Kay stood up getting an idea, "Give me one more chance to convince her with words. I know what its like to not want to sleep for fear of dropping your guard, maybe I can get through to her if I be open with her" she suggested, "but if I can't with one example I have in mind, then like CHas says, magic is our only option. Bane got through to me in my head because of his newly made link with Fee and he was practically begging us to make her get some rest, so I have a feeling he'd be more than happy to have you use a spell on her to make her rest if it comes to it" she explained.
The moment Serena shook her head albeit weakly, Kay sighed in slight annoyance that Serena was being even more stubborn than she herself could be. Of all the people she could have possibly ended up having as protectors and she's ended up with two incredibly stubborn people. Serena's reasons for not resting did not convince Kay in the slightest, and was glad that John was agreeing with her and Chas about Serena needing to rest. "you know that doesn't convince us otherwise right? Serena you're literally burning yourself out right now, John is right, you need to rest and have some peace for a bit. You're not to blame for any of this. I've had my fair share of problems and attacks way before I even met you." she replied with another counter to Serena's words.

"John if you can, I'd say just use a spell on her to make her sleep. If there even is such a spell" she added, aiming her words at John rather than Serena. Until Serena did get some sleep, there was no way Kay would feel happy about getting back to sleep. She would just feel on edge too much if Serena was awake too much longer.
Seeing that the inhaler worked and was helping to restore Serena's breathing was of great relief to Kay and Chas. It meant they didn't have to think of anything else to help her regain her breath again. Both heard her mutter something under her breath, but neither heard exactly what was said, until Kay heard Bane in her head which threw her off guard for a split moment, whilst also making her think 'great, now I got Bane in my head too?!' even if she did agree with Bane. "you're not a mess Serena, you've taken on a heavy attack and your body went into shock. Anyone would have been the same" Chas reassured. The moment Serena tried to get to her feet Kay helped her up but stopped her from getting anywhere near any books. "nah ah... No. You're going to get some rest and sleep in bed and recover fully from the shock that came over you. No more reading, no more trying to find answers. That can wait and anyway, there's three more of us that can deal with that. But it's getting late anyway and I think we all need some rest" she told Serena, hoping that ending her reasonings with the fact they all need rest, would help Serena to back down and agree.

"she's right Serena. You're overworked and none of us will be happy with you working even more. No matter what context it was in. Just get some rest, please?" Chas agreed, siding with Kay completely.
Kay nodded at John's suggestion, and went to go do that when she noticed Serena signalling for her to get her bag and her inhaler. "inhaler, right.." she replied to let Serena know she understood what she was signing to her, rushing to the woman's bag and rummaging through to find her inhaler, going back to her and handing it to her. "here" she said to her, making sure she had a good enough grip on it through her shaking. She hoped it would be enough whilst staying close enough incase she had to get anything else. She didn't want to get a bag just yet, as she wanted to see if the inhaler would work first.

Chas stayed nearby also, thinking that in theory the inhaler should be enough to help her, but he also knew they'd have to think of back up plans just incase. He also couldn't help but think how different the links between Serena and Bane were to Kay and Fee. From what very little they knew or witnessed, Fee would have helped Kay to calm down and not let her get this bad, whereas Bane seemed to be doing absolutely nothing on the inside to keep Serena calm.
Chas didn't intend for his theory to hold much weight or for John to come back and say he reckons he was onto something with it, whilst elaborating on the theory and expressing more. What he wasn't planning on either and more so was Serena reacting to badly to said theory and drop to the floor finding it harder to breathe. "Deep breaths Serena, breathe in for five seconds out for five." He said, also going over to her, even though John had dived off the couch to her aid as well, which made Kay slide down the couch and her head laying exactly where John was sitting, as she was leaning on him to sleep peacefully. As she plonked down onto the couch, the motion and John's loud cursing woke her up, making her blink and wonder what the hell was going on. "WHat's going on?" she asked, grumbling and rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand and sleeve.

Chas didn't even compute Kay waking up as his full attention was on the woman on the floor hyperventilating, and rightly so. Kay eventually managed to figure out why everyone was ignoring her, and seeing what a state Serena was in. SHe sat upright once more, watching on knowing there was nothing she could do right now, and if she did go over she would just get in the way which wouldn't do anyone any good. Chas just gently put his hand on Serena's back to try and comfort her, whilst trying to remind her and work with her into making her breathe deeply and slowly to calm herself down. The only thing that Kay felt she could do was get up, go into the kitchen and get Serena a drink of water, which she did after managing to find the glasses in the right cupboard and brought it over. "here, this might help too" she offered sleepily.
Chas looked toward John when he gave an answer for how he thought the link could be there. He had admit, he never would have thought of such a thing, but then that was why he wasn't the mage and John very much was. He then turned to Serena when she spoke up with more ideas for why this was all happening to the two of them and how it wasn't strictly two separate issues. The looking back and forth between Serena and John continued as they both threw out ideas back and forth for what would be causing such issues for the two women, deciding that although some of it was making sense to him, he was well and truly out of his depth with all of this. "What do you usually do to stop it when you get this shaky? You have any particular motions that you put into place?" Chas asked, knowing that if it was just simply a panic attack or anxiety, most people focused on taking deep breaths to slow down their heart rate which also means they stop themselves from passing out. So he wondered if Serena had that sort of thing in place or not, especially as she was a medical student for a while, and would have possibly learned such techniques to do in this kind of situation.

"As for the other thing, is it possible that they know that there could be a link between their powers, or had a feeling they were meant to meet? Using Serena to find Kay basically?" He theorised in question. It was the only thing he could really think of for why demons and/or whatever else was after the girls would be going after the both of them by using one to get to the other. If Kay was awake, he wasn't so sure he would have expressed his theory out loud with her in the room, but seeing as she was asleep he didn't see the harm in expressing it out loud. Out of the two women, it was clear that Kay was learning all of this for the first time, whilst trying to accept she was very much part of the magical downworld, whereas Serena knows what she is and has done for years now. He would have felt bad if he overwhelemed Kay with all of this, especially with her head injury she sustained earlier on, trying to help Serena and save her.
