Kay nodded as she drove at Bane's idea, glad that Bane wasn't taking any kind of offence to her warnings about Sam. She loved the woman dearly, of course she did but her sister's nagging about her love life always got under her skin a little bit. She knew the moment John woke up and was coherent enough, she would no doubt experience Sam's interrogation of John.

The drive was unsurprisingly quicker than the speed walking she did to get to John and Serena and soon enough she found herself pulling up to Sam's house where she found Sam sitting on the steps in front of the house, clearly having been wondering whether if Kay was ever going to come back. "well..tine to get the help they need and for me to lectured on running off on her...again" she sighed, turning the engine off and pulling the keys out of the ignition before shoving them in her hoodie pocket.

Sam looked up when she saw the car pull up and it was Kay inside as well as someone new beside her, then the two familiar bodies of John and Serena in the back. She quickly stood up and jogged down the couple of steps and over to the car. Letting Kay open her door and get out first, she then looked at her sister. "what the hell happened?!" Sam asked worried. "I'll explain inside, but for now, please help us get them inside" Kay replied, slightly pleading. Nodding Sam opened the back passenger doors and helped Kay get Serena out of the car as she was the closest.

"Bane, can you get John please?" Kay asked.
Kay shook her head, "no...yes..i don't know to be honest" she began, "a large part of me doesn't want to overwhelm her with everything. She may look like she can take a lot but there's a big chance she won't take it all well. Either that or get so over protective it'll be suffocating. It's bad enough I've hinted at me and John being an item." she replied with a fond small smile.

" I'll tell her enough I feel she can process, so maybe just follow my lead. I can tell her you're a friend of Serena's we were going to visit whilst in Seattle" she said, figuring it was the best explanation for the time being. "if that's okay with you" she added. "also, don't be surprise if she'll try and insinuate anything between us or between you and Serena, she's a massive lover of love. Always wanted me happy with someone particularly" she added.
Kay let Bane get them both into the back of the car and when he shifted into a human form and got in the front with her, she found herself briefly staring at him in surprise, slightly taken aback by his drastically different appearance. He was incredibly handsome, and if she wasn't so into John or met him way before John as well as not knowing what he was in any other time, she probably would have unashamedly flirted with him.

Snapping out of her thoughts, she looked ahead of her again and started the engine, "R-right, yeah" she replied and began driving back to Sam's place. "thank you for helping Bane, I couldn't have done that on my own" she told him.
Mika was glad that she wasn't the only one thinking it could have gone a lot worse than it did, even if it could have gone better at the same time. As much as she adored Bobby and saw him more of a father than just her uncle, she knew just as well as Dean and Sam did that he could be highly unpredictable when it came to what he would explode over. She was just thankful he was a lot more open minded to a broader amount of things than her actual father ever was. "that it was, I wasn't going to stay here forever without you. I think deep down, he knows that as well as we do" she replied, finding comfort in him stoking her jaw.

At the 'you're not a kid anymore' comment she couldn't help but smirk, that she most certainly wasn't. Neither of them were, and after everything that life had thrown at them she was certain she hadn't just been a kid for a very long time. She didn't need to look at him either to know he was trying to figure out what she could possibly could have meant by her last comment of 'mundane things' and she chuckled at his idea that came to his mind. That was one thing that came to mind, amongst others.

She let him continue talking before chuckling softly, "yeah, knowing him he'd utterly freak out at that, but let's face it, he'd probably prefer that to say, I dunno.. I'm pregnant or something" she pointed out, most definitely not pregnant but could easily imagine how Bobby would react to that news when they were still quite young, "as for my face? It's tender but nothing I can't deal with" she added.

Though as she thought about it, the idea of living some mundane life that didn't involve hunting with Dean wasn't all that terrifying, or unappealing. In fact it was greatly the opposite for her. It was just everyone else that seemed to not believe they could do such a thing in their future.
Kay listened to Bane's reasoning and Kay knew deep down that he was right. Sam did see some of the attack on her in their uni dorm before she made a run for it. It was a fact Kay tried to deny all this time ago because she didn't want to haunt herself with it, but deep down she always knew Sam saw it, it was one reason WHY Sam was so convinced she was dead. "okay, let's get moving" she nodded and replied.

She helped Bane lift the two of them off the ground and went to find the car they had, looking around. It took a few minutes but they found it, to which she got the keys from Serena and unlocked the car, helping Bane get them into the car before she got into the driver's side.
What Bane told her worried Kay a lot. She couldn't risk loosing either John or Serena. They both meant so much to her, yet the idea of involving her sister was such a high risk to her. She thought of several ways to protest that idea but every single time she could come up with a counter that Bane would come back with. Conceding, she sighed and nodded.

"...right" she sighed, wondering how they were going to get to her, she didn't know if the cell phone number she had for Sam was even still the right one, then there was trying to explain everything to her if it was the right number. "I don't know what she could do to help, or if I even have the right number for her still, but I guess we gotta try.." she commented, pulling gout her phone with a shaky hand.
Kay was thankful for the help in the shadows and Bane, as she could feel herself getting exhausted from the amount of work it ended up taking out of her. It may not have taken long, but it did take a lot of her channeling of Fee's power to save the ones she cared about.

She nodded at Bane's words, "I felt John's pain through our bond. I knew I couldn't stay at my sister's when I was feeling that." she said, tired as her hands extinguished the flames and ran over to both John and Serena. "Bane, you check Serena, I'll check on John" she suggested, kneeling down beside John and checking his burn marks. "come on John, wake up, please" she said softly.
Bane's appearance wasn't as disconcerting as it was would have been. It was actually a relief to have someone she could converse with in what to do. "got it, stand back because I don't want to accidentally burn you" she said back to Bane. She didn't know what her phoenix fire could do to someone like Bane, but she didn't want to take any chances either.

She stood back a little bit and closed her eyes, "okay Fee, time for you to help me" she muttered under her breath, reopening her eyes. She moved her hands away from her side and from John's cheek before igniting them, where she proceeded to aim her flames at the vines all around them, scorching and burning them. Seeing her new chosen family in such a predicament made her feel like she should have never let them go alone.
Seeing the vines and how they reacted to her made her curious and almost afraid, but now was a time to be brave. She needed to save her friend and the man she was falling hard for. When the shadow lead her to where they were she gasped and paused for a moment. "no.." she gasped, before running up to them, checking them over and seeing the blood on Serena and the burns on John.

"shadow, be careful..we don't know what we're dealing with." she warned it, what she was witnessing was like something out of comics. She stroked John's face just to feel a pulse which luckily she could feel. "I'm gonna get you both out of here" she told them both. "I promise" she added. She just hoped her words were getting through to them.

She needed to get them free but she didn't want to hurt either of them either.
"it's okay... Its okay. We'll get them" she told the shadow, letting the shadow remain close to her. She remembered the location to of where the others were and knew it wasn't too far away, but still toof ar for her liking. She began running quickly down the road even though the transferred pain from John was still lingering, but something felt off about it. She couldn't knew he wasn't dead, somehow she just knew she'd feel it if he was.

Even though it had been a few years si ce she was last here, she remembered all the short cuts to the space needle and swiftly got to the destination by cutting through back streets and alleyways and then down the main street. "John?! Serena?!" she called out as she saw a darkness fall over one area. "John! Serena!" she called out again.
