MIKA CHAMBERS

While she did agree that a school kid seemed to be a bit young for this sort of witchcraft, she did think it wouldn't be craziest thing they've ever come across in their careers of being hunters. "She does yeah, but can we really afford to rule it out?" she countered as they got to the impala and he put the hex bag on the hood, and she gave more suggestions for the regroup.

At the request to take photos of the contents of the hex bag, she pulled out her phone and did exactly what he wanted, holding her phone above the open bag and snapping a couple of photos to make sure they got a decent in focus one. "Good idea, if anyone can figure out what is in here, it's our boy Sammy" she replied to him.

Finishing up with the photos, she put her phone in her pocket after sending the photos to Sam so he had copies, gesturing that he can now burn the contents and the fabric. "Just this whole case is confusing me if I'm honest, but I'm hoping now we've made the connection to the babysitter and the school girl we might actually get a win on this" she admitted to him. She also truly hated that witches were involved in this case, yet if she truly thought about it, she should have guessed it could have been witches, if it was to do with a rising of some big bad.

"I just hope the others got somewhere with the school" she added, opening the passenger side door as she waited for Dean to finish with the burning of the hex bag. The contents as they nearly always did, unnerved her. She had seen some strange things in bags, but there was just something about the contents of this one that really didn't sit well with her. The bones inside were so small and she hoped Sam or someone in their group would be able to figure what bones they were.

SAM AND NATALIA WINCHESTER

Sam looked at Annabeth as she started theorising out loud to him, a small smile appearing on his lips because of it as to him, she was sounding so much like one of them and she probably didn't even realise it. It seemed as Natalia looked at the two of them, she was thinking the same thing as Nat smiled briefly herself at the whole chat happening. "It's possible alright, one thing I've learned in all the years I've been doing this, is never dismiss anything" Sam replied to her.

"He seemed sketchy as hell to me personally. There's no way Don doesn't know what is being burned in those furnaces. Those things have to attended and watched over whilst being used incase a student causes an incident and blows the room up. Question is, why hasn't Don cleared the furnace out" Natalia chimed in with her own thoughts.

"you both got points, it does feel like we only have half the story and evidence right now and that's frustrating" Sam agreed with the two girls. It was then he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket, making him pull it out and open it up to the photos from Mika. "Seems Dean and Mika found a hex bag at the widow's place, with very similar bones in it to what we found" he explained to the two of them.

"I guess it's time to head back to the motel and share what we all found" Natalia suggested.
Hearing someone coming downstairs quietly, she sat up carefully, making sure not to wake John in the process. Judging by how deep a sleep he was, he clearly needed the sleep in Kay's mind. She pulled on her leggings as she stood up and walked into the kitchen to see Sam making a fresh batch of coffee. "morning" Kay yawned, "morning" Sam replied with a smile, "want any breakfast or anything?" Sam asked, but Kay shook her head, "I'll wait a little bit until the others are awake" Kay told her.

Sam nodded, thinking deep down Kay really hasn't changed all that much in that regard. "do you really have to go today?" Sam asked, pausing what she was doing. Kay sighed and nodded, hugging her sister. "I do. I can't leave John and Serena to deal with this whole thing alone and I can't risk dragging you and Lara into our world either. It wouldn't be right or fair and I wouldn't live with myself if you got hurt. But I will stay in contact better. I love you Sam, never forget that" she explained as she felt Sam hug her tighter.
All the time when Dean gently moved her head onto the pillows and off his shoulder, Lexi remained perfectly asleep, as she did when he moved her whole body into a more comfortable position and even draped a blanket over her, practically tucking her in as he did so. She didn't wake up once, when normally she would have done, her hunter suspicious mind taking over if it was in any other situation, but this time round it seemed her mind and body just knew she was in no harm this night.

Throughout the night Lexi slept pretty much soundly and peacefully. There was the odd time when her darker thoughts and memories of grief tried to seep into her mind, but then were overtaken with more loving memories she had which made her silently cry in her sleep and turn over under the blanket, her back to Dean and hugging the pillow. After a while, the memories stopped and she went back to sleeping peacefully again, before the next round of memories and dreams came through and that's how it continued for the majority of the night.

By the time the morning came round, she woke up early yawning and looking over her shoulder as she remembered where she was. "no wonder I don't remember leaving his room....I didn't" she whispered to herself, but she didn't find it to be a complaint. In fact it was nice waking up and not being alone again as waking up and finding herself all alone in or on the bed was getting more and more depressing and lonely as the days and months and year went by. There may not have been anything between her and Dean, at least not as it stood now, but it was still nice knowing she didn't wake alone.

Even in a platonic situation it was nice to see she wasn't on her own in a room she didn't know particularly well. She pulled the blanket down off of her, carefully and quietly sitting up and swinging her legs off the end of his bed, not wanting to risk waking him then she crept across his floor, quietly opened his door after grabbing her clothes and on her tiptoes crept out of his room to head to the room she was meant to go to so she could grab her bathroom bag and head for the nearest shower.

In 'her' room, she threw her clothes on the bed and found her bag on the desk, which she presumed Sam had brought in for her and put down. Smiling to herself, she walked over to it and unzipped it, taking out her wash bag and towel, then headed out the room to the nearest bathroom where she found the shower and turned it on to heat the water up whilst she shuffled out of Dean's flannel shirt, placing it to one side as she continued to do with her underwear and then stepped into the shower with her wash gel, shampoo and conditioner to get freshened up and wash her hair of the general grime that it had aquired somehow.

She spent a good fifteen minutes in the shower, making the most of the proper hot water and space that she and most hunters didn't really ever get in a motel room. Feeling more awake and refreshed, she stepped out of the shower grabbing her towel and wrapping it round herself then ringing her hair out over the sink and proceeding to grab one of the boy's smaller towels to towel dry her hair so it didn't drip everywhere when she walked back to her room.

Back in her room, she closed the door behind her and went to her bag to pull out clean underwear and clothes, which she carried to the bed but as she did so, she caught the corner of the bed frame and kicked her toe on the bed's leg causing her curse out loud, no matter how much she gritted her teeth. "Son of a-----bloody hell that hurts!" as she sat on the edge of the bed to check her toe.
Kay was glad that with Fee's information he could come up with some kind of theory. "Okay" she replied, her voice becoming a mumble as tiredness began to creep onto her. She had done so much and exerted her body more than she had done for quite a few days by this point and it was now catching up on her, her eyes beginning to flutter closed. "I'm just glad you're both okay and still with me, I don't want to lose either of you" she yawned.

It wasn't long after that when she actually fell asleep, using John as her pillow and not her actual pillow. She didn't have any nightmares yet again which was subconsciously a welcome thing for her. It really did seem that when she was beside John, her night terrors just disappeared and her mind and soul was able to sleep relatively peacefully. It also helped that Serena seemed to be sleeping soundly and calmly as well upstairs. The peaceful night swept through the whole house, right through to morning.

-----

By the morning Kay woke up, not on John, but still beside him and facing him. Seeing him there made her smile as she turned onto her back to stretch her limbs and yawn before curling back up again.
Fee agreed with his words, they did need to figure it out and keep the girls safe as quickly as possible. "I agree wholeheartedly and you are most welcome John Constantine. Serena helped Kay before your arrival, so it is the least I could do in return. I shall let you have Kay back now" she replied, letting her conscious slip back into Kay's soul once more, her eyes changing from Fee's back to Kay's.

"did you get what you needed from her?" Kay asked him, as she tried to re-adjust to where she was and who she was with. With a few blinks, she got her reset to her surroundings and once more, laid down and snuggled into John slightly.
Fee let John take in the information she was telling him before he started seeming to speak his many thoughts out loud in an almost jumbled mess. "I have always been with Kay, just dormant for a lot of her adolescent life. But the beginnings of the attacks started two and a half years ago if I recall correctly, was this when Serena began being attacked?" Fee asked John curiously.

She did think if that was the case then it was too much of a coincidence to be as such. She also couldn't help but think that something darker was coming not just for Serena, but for Kay and she worried that it was going to be something she would not be able to keep Kay safe from. It was bad enough demons were after Kay, the idea of something darker than that coming for her wasn't something she wanted to think about, but feared they would have to.
Kay shook her head, "I don't but Fee might. She was a lot more involved in retrieving Serena and hearing what this creep said and did. When she takes over I lose sense of time and don't have any idea of what she's doing with my body" she explained to him. She hated that that that was the situation between her and Fee as she always felt so disorientated when she came back to the foreground, however some of the things that she knew Fee could be capable of, she was almost glad she had no idea what she did.

"Kay let me talk with him" Fee said in her head, making Kay close her own eyes as Fee spoke, before reopening them and looking back at her. "Fee wishes to speak with you, I'm guessing about what you asked" she told him. She gave John time to reply before letting Fee come through, as shown through the change in her eyes as per usual. Gone were her grey blue eyes, and showing were the golden pupil-less ones. "I can't tell you much about the insignificant mortal who took Serena and the boy. But what I can tell you is that he kept talking about how they were to be the newly ressurrected god and goddess. He was convinced they were them. I must apologise however that I did not give him much time to explain further for he was crazed and he had started the spell which I had to stop. By doing so, Bane had to focus on saving Serena and the boy or they would have been killed with the crazed mage. He did know of myself and Kay being the 'fire one' as he put it though. This worries me if I am to be truthful with you. It seems word has gotten further out there about Kay than I am comfortable with" Fee explained.
She mailed when he kissed her hand and nodded softly at his words before blushing ever so slightly at his praise. "I just did what was right to do" she replied, leaning in and pecking his lips. At his flinching, she placed her hand on where it was sore and tried to relieve him of some of the pain. "it could be phantom pain from knowing you were shot there. I didn't feel it having hit the bone when I healed you." she said. "it'll probably be gone by the morning" she added.
As John spoke, Kay listened and looked up at him as she did so. She wanted to pay full attention to him as he spoke and seemed to actually open up a little bit. When he finished talking, she propped herself up onto her elbow and used her free hand to turn his head to face her so he had to look at her. "if you had done more you would have bled out and been in a worse place than you are now. I wouldn't have been able to deal with that or been happy having you in the fight in that state. You have no idea how worried I was when you said you'd been shot." she told him.

" please... Please don't feel guilty or angry at yourself over this John. What's done is done. I almost lost you at the hospital, I couldn't risk losing you here as well.. And I know its early days, and this whole...worrying about another person's life that's not family, over mine is all new to me. But hey, I'm well and truly letting myself care about you. Hell, if I had to make those decisions all over again I'd make the same damn decisions. You being here kept Sam safe, and that means the utter world to me" she explained.
Kay was thinking the same thing as John was, "don't be sorry John, it's okay, honestly" she replied to him, draping one arm over him. "we're all going to be okay, you don't have to apologise to me, there's nothing to be sorry about" she added.
