Chas couldn't help but smirk at the question, "nah mate. You're recovering from that beating yesterday. You got a broken rib and had a punctured lung, but Serena fixed you up." he explained, unsure of how much John remembered, so decided to play safe by explaining everything anyway. "Kay is asleep in your room as she passed out last night and your room is closest, so I told Bane to take her there. Also figured it'd keep her calmer when she came round" he added.

Chas being Chas was an early riser and was making some breakfast for everyone, having a feeling they'd all need it. Hearing John, he walked out to show him he was still around. "m here mate" he told him. "the others are still asleep I think" he added.

Chas could understand where he was coming from to a certain extent. He may not know what it was like to having to go into shadows to recover, but he could understand the whole 'not wanting to create discomfort to another peraon' part of Bane's statement. "makes sense, well, feel free to sleep anywhere, John will no doubt remain asleep on the couch all night" he said to him.

Josh remained partially awake until he was certain he could feel that Serena had fallen into a deep sleep for the night, then and only then did he fall properly asleep himself.

By the morning Kay woke up in John's bed, where she was left, spread diagonally across his bed, hugging the pillow of his she had under her head. She rubbed her face as she made herself open her eyes, but snuggled right down under the blankets, not wanting to get up just yet.

Chas nodded in agreement as he too had the mindset that whatever needed to be looked into, could wait until everyone was recovered and healed up. At his Bane's next explanation, he nodded again, "I see, will you be alright?" he asked.

Josh pulled the blanket tightly round her and pulled her into him closely as he felt quite warm. He didn't open his eyes the whole time, just focused on keeping her warm and comfortable.

Chas nodded, "yeah, he definitely seems to. I think if it wasn't for him passing out from the exhaustion and pain he'd have tried to start researching it now." he explained. "you alright?" he asked, seeing how Bane looked.

Josh just nodded seeing that she was finally drifting off to sleep which he was glad about as he knew how much she needed to rest.

Chas had to think for a moment or two about who could possibly help. "out of the ones that dislike him greatly? Maybe papa midnite? A voodoo man, or if we can find her, Zed is a seer of sorts, and probably one of the rare ones that still likes John and hasn't been screwed over by him. They'd be my best guesses but I'm no expert with all this" he replied to Bane.

"hell Mary or not. It worked that'd the main thing and now John can focus on healing up and I'm sure Kay will appreciate you saving him" Josh replied to Serena softly.

Chas shrugged, "your guess would be as good as ours. We just don't know truth be told. Many won't tell him anything as it'd be deemed 'intervening'" he said, making air quotes with his fingers. "just told him that he knew someone who could help with gaining information he needed...but most people John knows? Don't exactly like him" he added. "my only guess is that John's attack would have triggered another event of some kind" he theorised.

Josh smiled, "the fact it worked is the important thing. What you did was incredible" he told her honestly.

Chas looked up when he heard footsteps and saw Bane appear, nodding at his words as he sighed with relief that Kay was going to be okay. "I'm glad she's okay. John will go mad if she's not" he commented, before continuing on, "You smell correctly. An Angel named Manny paid us a visit as John needed to talk with him....remember our mysterious saviour?" he started talking to Bane. "Turns out that person is John and Kay's future daughter" he said, giving Bane a moment to let the news sink in.

Josh laid her down on the bed and put the blanket back over her again. He then shuffled over and partially sat up beside her to show he wasn't going anywhere and he really did mean it when he said he was going to be there for her. "Get some sleep and things will feel hopefully better in the morning" he said softly to her.

Chas sighed as he laid John down after he slumped against him, leaving him on the couch and laid a blanket over him. "Rest up mate" he said quietly, deciding that he'd help out by tidying the place up where he could and just staying around incase he was needed by anyone. He just hope everyone would be able to get a decent sleep as they rested.

Josh chuckled at her surprise, "You weren't the one pretending to be my girlfriend in the hospital and stuff. But no, you don't scare me" he smiled at her. "Anyway, why dont you get some sleep? It's getting late, I'll stick around if you want me to just incase you need me" he told her.
