Josh walked back with her, taking it slightly slow for her benefit as he knew they weren't far away from the millhouse. Even going slower it still only took under five minutes to get back. At the door, he opened it for her, letting her in first, "here ya go, get inside and ill set your shoulder in the main room" he told her.

Trish's seeming shock at being asked what she wanted to do didn't go amiss on Chas and he couldn't help but wonder how long it had been since she last got asked such a thing. "I can take you out to the shops, go to the cinema, do some other thing. Maybe I can see if Geraldine wants to join?" he listed a few ideas, deciding that Trish deserved to have a day where she was just a child after the bad dreams she had been having.

Kay listened to him reminding her of all the hope she had around, realising he was right. She had been so swamped in the doom and gloom of everything, she never really took notice of the positives around her. She looked up at him and lofted her head just enough to place a small quick kiss on his lips, "thank you for reminding me of that" she told him as she pulled away.
Josh nodded, "well when we get back to John's I'll put it back in place for you" he told her, walking her back to the mill house as the sooner they got back and put her shoulder back into place, the better it can heal up.

"Eh, he's known for doing a lot of stupid things for the sake of getting the job done. It's just who he is I guess" Chas shrugged, "but that was a tough time in Rome, that much I will say. Anyway, elts get away from the dark moments in JOhn's work life, what do you wanna do today?" he added.

John's answer wasn't the one she was expecting, she was sadly expecting a much less hopeful answer and it made her realise she was so used to being told bad news, that it was hard for her to expect hopeful news by people. "i hope you're right" she replied. "I just...I really need some hope in my life right now ya know?" she told him.

Lexi was also surprised that Sam declared he wanted to pop out as well, wondering if this was some ploy to just separate the two of them or something along similar lines. She felt like she knew Sam well enough to get an idea of his actions, but she was still relatively new in his life and couldn't say for sure if his declaration was some alterior motive or not. She also wondered if Sam was picking up on the fact her and Dean were getting close. She let Dean do the replying to Sam, deciding to use this moment to drink her coffee. Hearing him give a completely plausible excuse for Sam to not join the two of them getting the supplies, made Lexi get a flutter in her heart, something she hadn't felt in what felt like a long time.

Sam simply nodded at the reasoning for just splitting up and doing what each of them needed before rejoining up to head back. Dean's comment about burning when he steps outside made both Sam and Lexi smirk and snigger. For Sam it was such a typical Dean remark to make, which he took as a good sign and for Lexi, she could understand the remark from her own experiences. She noticed how it was seeming Dean wanted to kiss her as he left the kitchen, but styled it out effortless and casually before she felt the awkward pat on the shoulder as he exited for his room.

Sam noticed as well and couldn't help but be curious about it, waited until Dean was out of the kitchen and looked right at Lexi. "So, he seems to be coming out of himself since you've been around" he said in the most casual manner he could muster, trying to keep the accusatory tone out of his words, as he didn't want to outright assume at this stage that the two of them were either crushing on each other or desperate to be close in some manner or another. "I guess I just uhh, have that gift to help people out when they need. I guess going through the same grief situation helps him to be able talk or something?" she replied, matching his casual tone between mouthfuls of her coffee.

"Uh-huh, I guess so" Sam simply said back with a smile as he finished his own drink and put the mug down on the table. "I'm gonna go finish getting dressed myself, meet you in the war room?" he finally suggested, Lexi nodding in agreement, "sure!" she smiled, putting her mug in the sink when she finished her drink, watching Sam walk back to his room in a speed walk due to his room being the furthest away. Looking at the other mugs laying around, Lexi sighed with a smile, "damn boys and not cleaning up after themselves" she muttered to herself as she grabbed their mugs and put them in the sink also then washed them up.

---------------

By the time Dean was finished and heading back to the main room, both Sam and Lexi were leaning against the war table with their jackets on just talking about random mundane things whilst they waited for him. Despite their talking, Lexi still couldn't get the earlier make out session with Dean out of her mind fully, the moment replaying in her mind over and over. It felt like the more she tried to not think about it by distracting herself with the random chit chat with Sam, the more it became promiment in her mind.

She wanted so desperately to be happy again, but she didn't want to forget her fiancee either.
"agreed" Josh replied, seeing how she flinched due to her shoulder. "not only that we're gonna get you an ice pack of some kind for your shoulder as well as having me taking a proper look at it when we get back" he told her, concerned she may have dislocated it or something similar. Luckily for her, if she had dislocated it, he knew how to set it back.

Chas smiled and nodded, "he's tried to deny in the past but yeah really. If a kid is in need of help he don't hesitate to help. He once let himself get possessed to fight a monster that was stealing infants to save them." he told her without going into the gory details of what John actually went through. Not even those of them who were there and adults could barely cope with that time in Rome, so there was no way he was going to tell all the details to a child.

"I hope you're right" Kay simply said, staying put where she was as she felt safe. "John? Do you think there'll ever be a day something or someone won't want to hunt me down?" she asked, even though she was convinced she already knew the answer.
Josh looked at her surprised at her saying the young boy kind of looked like him. Now he suddenly truly realised why Kay reacted the way she did. He hadn't long admitted to Serena that he even had a crush on her and properly kissed her for the first time, now it was being alluded to the fact he has a son with her? That was utterly mind blowing to him as he ran his hand through his hair and exhaled in surprise. "....I uhh.. I don't k ow what to say to that" he told her. "it certainly seems like it, seems they've been taught well" he added.

"oh sweetie, Renee may be a hard arse at times toward some people but she's a softie when it comes to kids. Much like a certain someone with damages ribs and lung in the other room" he smirked.

Kay nodded in agreement at his comment, if they could find out who sent the hit team after him, then they'd know who else is after herself and Serena. "and in turn find out who is wanting myself and Serena" she replied, lowering her head on his shoulder.
As Serena held her neck, Josh took it upon himself to check her head and neck over to make sure she was okay and not injured badly anywhere. He didn't like how hard she went flying backward, but he was also thinking about what she said. "if it's the same voice then what happens must be bad" he commented.

Chas smiled as Trish asked such a typical child thing and nodded, "yeah you can still come over to play with Geraldine" he reassured her. "Renee likes that Geraldine has a friend who can come over and play and Geraldine clearly likes you too" he smiled.

"exactly, she did. Someone who ends up being a terrible parent or so bad of a parent that the kid would want to cut them out of their life wouldn't have their kid travelling time to save them." Kay reiterated to him. "but like you said earlier, we don't know when we become parents, how old she is in her time or anything. So as scary as it is to know we become parents, we can't worry about it just yet. We need to focus on the upcoming threat and everything else" she told him, feeling like now they had been properly talking through everything, she was able to think through it all with a better mindset.
Josh found yet again he was learning more new things actually existed in the real world and not just in movies or on the pages of comic books. Hearing that whoever she saw in the tracing vision called her mom shocked him. "What? T-that's uhh...not something I was expecting you to say" he said to her, not sure how to react as he didn't know if that meant she has a kid with him in the future or with someone else.

"just John" Chas replied to her. "unfortunately she's never truly liked him, always saw him as a bad influence and that never really changed." he explained. "The magic world she would rather ignore for hers and Geraldine's safety which I understand, especially when Geraldine ended up in the middle of it one time. But other people she doesn't mind. She really liked our old friend Zed who could have visions and stuff. But John she doesn't like, not just because he's a mage, but just because he puts up this asshole wall around himself to protect himself." he said with a bit more clarification.

Kay sighed and shook her head at his words, "you are worthy of it John" she told him, fully believing what she said. "And if our future daughter came back from whatever time she lived in to save you, clearly she thought you are worthy of that title as well." she pointed out.
NATALIA WINCHESTER

Having Cason so close to her neck made Natalia feel uncomfortable but it was the kind of discomfort that got her irritated. So the fact he was shoving whiskey practically in her face, she felt it was a good enough way to ignore how bad he was with personal spce. If he wasn't so close, she probably would have kept her promise to her brother and not taken the drink. As he pulled back she felt a sense of relief to not have him in her face so much, but then he got closer again and she was convinced he was going to kiss her just to get under her skin all the more, so when he didn't but instead called her princess she gritted her teeth and glared at him.

"Don't ever call me that you got it? No one calls me a damn princess" she sneered at him, trying her hardest to keep some kind of composure and not let him get to her but he was really testing her. "i swear if Dean doesn't pop a cap in his ass I will" she thought to herself as he spoke to her. Hearing him talk about Esme in the way he was, she wasn't sure whether to find it endearing or downright creepy. "Esme will be just fine without you leering over her 24/7 and her and Duke have history, she'll be just fine with him." she began saying, trying to say 'stop creeping on her, at least Duke is a good man' without actually saying it.

"As for the second part, I won't be having a good time when this is work for me alright? I'm trying to do my part in keeping people safe and stopping damn Angels from nuking the town. You'd be the last person I'd pick to have a night out with no matter the situation, you're a bloody demon and my brothers are damn heroes. I won't have you trash talking them in front of me." she told him flatly, not sure she would ever be able to look passed that major part of him. She hoped that Annabeth wouldn't be much longer or the others in general as she just wanted to get this job over with. As for her brothers, she did see them as nothing but heroes, if it wasn't for them storming the asylum the night they did she never would have successfully escaped and would have probably still be in there to this day or worse...dead.

She saw for herself how many people they saved and how compassionate they could be, even if Dean could be brash and volatile at times, but she knew he had a big heart deep down- the way he and Mika stuck together was proof of that in her eyes. She idolised her brothers, even if she did favour Sam just that teensy bit more. The thoughts that came flooding back made her take a gulp and mentally shake them from her mind. Now wasn't the time to be distracted by the past. She permanately dreaded the day she would have to openly tell people what she actually went through in the asylum and admit just how much it haunted her still, she was amazed she managed to keep it secret for as long as she did.

With a sigh, she stared at the door hoping that someone, anyone, would come and break the tense moment between her and Cason. Not being able to take it much longerm she ended up pulling her own phone out and texting Dean as she was convinced it was Annabeth who Cason texted, so she saw no point in texting Sam, even though Sam was always her first go to. 'Dean, if we're going can we go now? Cason decided to invite himself in my room and he's driving me mad already' she text, pressing send and shoving her phone into her jacket pocket.

MIKA CHAMBERS

Mika could see how her simple small actions still managed to calm him even just a little bit, just like they did before he went to Hell. She also agreed that they really needed a win, just once even if she wasn't sure this would be it, she just made herself hope it would be a win. Instead of replying to his comment, she just kissed him back as he planted the tight kiss onto her lips.

As he pulled away and said the next bit, she couldn't help the chuckle that escaped her lips at his comment. it was so typical of him to practically ruin a personal moment with such a comment. With her head leaning into his hand she kept smiling up at him, "That I do" she replied to him with a chuckle as he brushed his hand up through her hair and kissed her nose. "Yeah we probably should, I don't envy Nat that's for sure." she told him.

She just hoped that Cason's attutude and Nat's ability to be extremely snarky (a trait she saw in both Nat and Dean), that nothing would go wrong and neither would end up seriously hurt or dead because one or the other couldn't withstand the other's antics. She pulled on her trusty jacket as she had a feeling it would soon get cold this evening and grabbed what she needed weapon wise, mostly consisting of her handgun with the specially customised witch killing bullets. "i'm guessing it's you, me and Sam in your car and Nat, Annabeth and Cason in Nat's?" she queried her assumption.

SAM WINCHESTER

Annabeth's touching of his chest and moving upwards with her hands made him smile as he looked down at her. Her remark about ass kicking being the only way he would see anything made him chuckle. He then let her continue talking, deciding it was better for her to get whatever it was off her chest now, rather than him interrupting her. Hearing her make him promise that he would come back safe made him smile softly at her and stroke her cheek with his thumb.

"I promise that I will come back relatively unscathed and alive" he promised to her. "I will be fine with Dean and Mika on my team, I just hope you don't have to be in between Nat and Cason, she can be damn snarky when she gets going and annoyed just enough" he smirked and chuckled. It was then he became aware in his periferal vision that Annabeth's phone had an flashing alert on her phone due to a message coming in.

"Think you got a message, probably from Cason" he told her as he put his weapons of choice away into his bag, letting Annabeth go for her phone if she wanted to get it. He knew they couldn't be much longer as he knew Natalia would lose her mind if she was left to thinking about having to deal with Cason for too long, as he was unaware that Cason had just invited himself into her room and was already annoying her.
Josh kept his eyes out on their surroundings as well as on Serena, not seeing what she was but when she got thrown backwards, he rushed to her side and helped her up onto her feet. "what the hell was that?" he asked her. "are you okay?" he asked again, worry in his voice, wo seeing what on earth could have caused her to have such a reaction.

Chas felt sorry for Trish, he could only imagine how annoying it must be for Trish to not be able to make sense of such dreams at such a young age. The timing he knew was anything but coincidental. "we'll figure it out I promise kiddo." he told her.

At his words, Kay took his hands yet again, "John listen to me. There is no such thing as perfection, but we will both great parents when that time comes because both of us know what it's like to be alienated by a parent. So we'll both do our best to not bring that pain onto our daughter. Whenever she comes into our lives. No matter how scared we both are or get about being a parent" she told him.
Josh stood behind her when they reached the leyline that they were headed to. Watching her do what she could was fascinating but he was also aware of looking around their surroundings out of sheer habit as he shoved his hands in his jeans pockets. "do what you gotta do, I'll keep an eye out" he told her, knowing there wasn't that much for him to do other than that.

"hmm" Chas replied as he thought over what Trish was telling him. It was curious to say the least but what really caught his curiosity was the fact she said it was a black bird, not a flaming one. "interesting" he commented as he continued to think over everything. "I guess we'll be adding it to the list of things that we gotta figure out." he told her.

Kay gasped and covered her mouth when he told her what his father did to him growing up. It broke her heart that someone who was mesnt to be a protective figure in a child's life was so so cruel. She thought she had it rough when she was nine years old and her father walked out on her, leaving her alone to fend for herself until Sam's parents adopted her, to save her from the system. The verbal abuse she got before he walked out was traumatising to her, as she could never understand why her looks could be so negative for her father. Yet here John was telling her something even worse. "John I... That's awful... I'm so sorry" she told him as she lowered her hand from her mouth.

"no child should have been told that. That wasn't your fault, you were a baby... What your father said makes me sick.. I couldn't ever imagine being so cruel to my child" she said.
