In the Darkness of the Night

Daxius didn't have time to think about whether the knives hit, he had to be swift and commit to the follow up attack, he knew this was dangerous, he didn't care, he had to buy time while his undead companion made it to the scene. He expected some sort of parry, this human was a skilled swordsman no doubt, as he swung towards the injured leg the assasin dropped his dagger to counter Dax's hand. Daxius could have pulled away last minuite to avoid injury, but he didn't want to go on the defensive, after all he was unarmed.

The mighty feline demon's hand smacked against the dagger, it didnt quite impale the palm, his hand was at an odd angle so it sort of cut into the flesh diagonally, Daxius howled in pain but his eyes once again flashed glowing blue as he kept pushing his hand against the blade!!
He was using the momentum of the swing and his superhuman strength to try to pull the blade off of the assassin, who was readying his hand to throw a dagger at his right foot. With his hand still on the blade now bleeding, he quickly lifted his foot off the floor to drive a hard knee to the left side of the assasin's abdomen. The thrown dagger sliced past daxius's thigh leaving a fairly shallow but painful cut. He was too focused on the pain of the dagger to cry out again though.

Now if the assassin were to leap back to avoid the super quick knee, he would surely forfiet his dagger as Daxius's strength and grip were stronger than any human's.

How did Isa get out from underneath him? You seem to go from him sitting on her stomach straight to the triangle choke with no transition from mount to guard.

because as she rolled back as he stood up she threw her legs back, he wasnt in a full mount to begin with, he was only in a postured up mount inside her open guard.

I'll find the quote:

'As he mounted her, she used the backwards momentum to keep her legs apart and raised them in the air as she moved to her back'.

Yes, various maps have there place, but for an official ranked tournament I'm going to continually advocating consistency among the maps. ^.^

I agree with the consistency, but I say for the first tournament it should be more simple to be welcoming to new fighters, then the detail can be amped up for later tournaments.

@Rilla hmm maybe not for the first one, cause I'm itching to fight a lot of you guys in a tournament. Definatley the next one though!

@Innue Thats a great map, itd be great if you submitted that into the Arena thread!, however sometimes its better to leave the properties and placement of some maps a little more vague, if its a fairly basic match anyway, at least for newer players so they dont have to take into account character placement and speed of getting to point A to point B, even as an Intermediate I find all of that very difficult to keep my head all the way round. It definitely has its place in more advanced matches though.

You blasted rodent!, that trap should have killed you!, and I know a thing or two about death....

Upon retrieving his grappling claw and returning it to his belt, Daxius' glowing eyes went dark as he placed his dark hand on the floor.
Within seconds his necromancy magic took effect and the earlier vicitim of the assasin, the one who was stabbed in the neck rose from where he was killed, some 40 feet away. He was now an undead servent that Daxius could command, and the somewhat fresh corpse began to run towards the fight, desperate to protect his master, though he was not in range to be of any help of hinderance just yet.

A few more seconds and help will be on the way, I suppose you want a swordfight dont you? but you seem insistant in keeping me away from my own blade...no matter then.

Daxius, with his left hand let 2 more throwing knives fly, one at his legs, and one at his torso, they were thrown as fast as ever, and right behind them, Daxius charged at the assasin, following up the daggers with slashing with his right claw to his opponent's injured leg, he was without his sword, but nonetheless ready to slash and beat this human barehanded while he waited for his undead assistance.

Arena Battlegrounds 2.0

Name: The Broken Dojo



Size: Dojo is 50x40 feet on a 100x80 cliffside

Properties: The remains of the dojo is made of japanese wood that is basically rotting or heavily damaged. The the cliffside is just beyond the destroyed wall on the northside which is a 200 foot plunge into the rocks below, instant death for most characters. The south side is covered by a stone entrance of steps that come from a deep forest. Which cannot be exited once entered due to black magic.
