If komodo is using explosive rounds, it has a slower rate of fire and easier to dodge with the drone data, if it is using its gattling gun then its higher rate of fire is more standard rounds and his armor can take more punishment. He minimized the damage as he kept pushing through as his frame is made for taking the punishment. Where komodo is making lots of side to side motions, having to move then shift his momentum into another direction like a hornet/wasp where ramirez is just making slight variations to his approach and keeps on approaching in roughly the same direction the whole time.

I would say with the higher synchro rate, he has the ability to take a sniper round to minimal, and open fire on ramirez, and still dodge out of the way of another person using both a shotgun and melee punch of doom with all his focus on someone he already was spending so much time and mental energy on.

But I wouldn't say that his synchro rate would have anything to do with going faster than another frame made for closing the distance on an enemy. All frames have the capability of space flight, even archers frame can break atmosphere under its own power. so therefor everyone has afterburners unless komodo was built for superior speed.

Thank you for not trying to be 'that guy', but you got three people attacking you and a 4th providing a bonus to those attacks.

Well lets be clear, while the rounds are slower ramirez was still taken by suprise, as he didnt expect Komodo to come to halt.
I take your point about the hornet movements but they are small strafes, not large erractic movements, mecha combat dictates you attack while moving to avoid counters, similar to keeping your head moving while boxing, small slips make all the difference its not a huge amount of energy.

Now lets be clear so you don't misrepresent the situation, Krista's sniper round glanced the komodo's shoulder which caused a large concussion but not direct damage.

I also didnt dodge any punches or shotgun, Koehler was thinking about that attack but held it back and gave me a chance to 'see what I do first' so there was no attacks to dodge, he simply approached me.

My main point about the speed is that after being shot and hit by at least one of the rounds, ramierz should not be able to 'chase the coward with ease' The shots should disrupt your approach in someway.

So just to correct you I have one person attacking me
one who has released drones around me but not made any sort of assualt yet
one who has simply approached me
and one who shot at me and is racing away from me towards the river area.

Lets not forget the Ramirez should have been expecting to Komodo to be halted, spin around and attack when he was following...

EDIT: I hate to be 'that guy' I really do, but I dont think the rose should be 'easily' keeping up with the Komodo in afterburner mode, they are the same armor class, and Komodo has a slightly higher synchro so the Rose shouldn't be that much faster. After burner is essentially 'boosting at top speed' mode and isnt able to fight normally at that thrust just escape.

Miles, grinned as the Komodo was able to rattle off a few gatling shots on Krista's framewerk and then watch as she rapidly retreated, Miles was still in chase when.....Thwooom.....Brrssst The Archer fired a shot back as the Black Komodo was in pursuit, way to fast in thrusters to dodge the high speed projectile and it struck the Komodo heavy.

Luckily it only glanced the shoulder area of the komodo where the armour was very thick so the damage was very minimal, just a concussive impact. Unluckily that concussive impact knocked Miles around his cockpit fairly violently as he wasnt wearing his plugsuit, his lean body bashed against the control board and back, which would leave several bruises later on. Miles grunted and regained control, he knew this was the trade off for comfort, his mind breifly flashed the hard-to-forget image of Lora and Mai in their form fitting outfits.

The secondary effect was that the impact halted the pursuit as the forward momentum was pushed back by the shot, which had the komodo floating off the ground but stationary for a while. Thats when he saw him...

Raimirez?? you were sneaking behind me? thinking I was going to fast to notice you trailing? Well you can blame your teammate for shot stopping me, remember what I said about close to mid range? youve followed me right into it!

The Komodo started to fly around taking the shots from different angles darting around like a wasp, this was the true ferocity of the shock trooper style with the perfect opponent, Miles face was stone cold but inside he was giddy and blissful, until..

Right in his sights boosting towards his flank was Koehler, brandishing the Framewerks shotgun!, Miles had to think fast, he had just finished firing at Ramirez and had just been hit by Krista, he couldnt hope to also take on Harold as well, especially seeing as he need to reload his explosive rounds clip. Time to really start thinking. Miles began to sweat, he also noticed small machines that looked like flies circling the vicinity....drones??

I see youve got Elora on Recon? what a tight unit youve got there, but I'm not making my final stand against you all just yet.... Komodo!!!

Miles hit the afterburner and put the thrusters on high blast as he boosted out of the range of all the Framewerks chasing him vertically, he began to climb alitutde at an alarming speed reloading on the way up, he was moving too fast to fight, but he couldnt be chased easily at this acceleration, he just needed a breather and some space as not to get surrounded, he decided to boost over to where Ryan and Lora were fighting, to change the scenery keeping a good distance above them.

The fire burst definately did its job, it cleared the suspicious mist, the fire wasnt able to hurt the man much beyond his cape, but that was fine she wasn't aiming for him anyway. The opponent was prepping the next attack, his sword style was very interesting, Rodetta was used to high ranking soldiers swinging swords as if they were cutting wood, but this Ryllan warrior moved like an eastern assassin or a fencer from the northlands his stance after rolling back from the flame's path was elegant and hypnotic. Rodetta silently grunted in admiration.

I want to know where you train, my men could benefit with a little grace in their swordplay, too bad it's wasted on a corpse like you.

He tossed one of his swords in the air and formed another out of the same strange mist from his scabbard, there was obviously an attack coming, and it was going to be creative, Rodetta needed a safe maneuver and it would be tricky but very do-able.

Like a well conditioned spring, Rodetta took to very quick steps back before making a huge back jump which allowed her to clear 2 feet while still facing her opponent, while midair in her back jump she hurled her weapon like a javelin at the man, aiming for his mid section so she would be most likely to hit something at this fairly close distance. After hitting the ground she would raise her shield once again ready to defend, and use her now free hand to have her hand close to her sword handle, all the while back stepping further away if he chose to advance.
